I hope the rumours about Didier Ya Konan are not true. I have not seen him play, but his goal scoring record is terrible. Less than a goal every 3 games in the Norwegian and German Leagues. That would probably equate to 1 in 4 in the EPL. Not good enough for EFC nor the standards we set last year. Plus he is 28 so likely not to improve on this stat. Lukaku scores 1 in 2 in the EPL at ages 19 and 20. I know who I would rather have.

With you Degsy.

2.) 15 May 2014
How can you pass a judgement if you have never seen him play? Alright his goal record is not great on paper but neither is nasmiths but he brings other things to the team, so this guy might be the same not everything is about goals as if it is we might as well sign Darren Bent who scores goals but contributes little else.

If we are looking for a forward to replace Lukaku (Assuming he isn't with us next season) then we need a goalscorer and have to agree with Degsy, this Ya Konan doesn't look great. My experience of African centre forwards at Everton hasn't been great thus far, plus am assuming another African nations cup next year, so Kone won't be available either.

oddly enough degsy, i'm with you, although I have seen him play, he isn't a good enough striker and couldn't do a job on the wings either, shouldn't look at him

5.) 15 May 2014
For free he would make a good squad filler, and obviously he won't be our number one striker target.

6.) 15 May 2014
I don't need to see him play. With stats like that, I know he can't make it in the EPL. Lukaku is likely to hit 20 per season. This guy is likely to hit 5/7 per season. How many points dropped will that be. Swan knows I go on a bit about points and goals and stats. He will tell you I am right about this one. I think Kone is likely to score more than him and Kone is injured!

7.) 15 May 2014
Mike S, if he cannot score in the Norwegian League, then he won't score in the Premiership. We could wait a few years to see if he develops. oh no we can't he is 28 and knackered anyway.

8.) 15 May 2014
He okay but prefer mame diouf on free

9.) 16 May 2014
It's my bet we're all getting worked up over nothing anyway as one thing I've learnt about Everton is names linked in the media vary rarely end up being true,
It's just not the Everton way.

Mike S, now you are talking sense. Except that nightmare is coming back. I can picture him again.Brett Angell. aaargggh. refer Swan for comments.
