Reports coming in Everton have rejected a loan bid for Sandro in favour of a cash deal to free up more funds for Big Sam in this window, would like to have seen him loaned out to get some playing time then see at the end of the season myself.

{Ed025's Note - me too mate..

Seriously. Do we need to free up funds to buy a LB?

{Ed025's Note - i suspect its more to do with the number of squad places than the dosh smit..

Ed do u know if Sam is looking at garbutt at left back and maybe for the weekend with west Bromwich as garbutt wasn't in the u23s team against spurs on monday.

{Ed025's Note - i would be guessing duke, but i think he is better than what we have at the moment mate..

I can see it now
3 years down the line EFC knocked out of the quarter final stage of the Champions league to hatrick hero Sandro who goes on to be one of the world's best strikers. Oh well at least we have a Champions league run ;)

I watched Garbutt make his debut when he came on against Leyton Orient in the Carling cup, although it was a lower league team I was very impressed with the player and he has a mean cross on him, reminds me of Andy Hincliffe and how he pinged the ball in the area, he is certainly better than Martina and given enough game time, I would give the lad a chance.

We do have another left back in Connelly but for me he’s not a left back, when loaned out at Wigan, my Wigan mate said he played more of a left winger and was good going forward, not so good defending.

One I did mention a while back Ed25 was Kevin Gameiro, it looks like Swansea might land him, good player and one to watch if he comes to the premier league.
