Swans stated they want 50. Already said no to 40, so why go cheap with 5 with add ons. Just offer 45 with 5 ad ons and we will get our no1 target. To answer other questions, Yes he is worth it! A top draw scoring midfielder, I do recall Chelsea fans asking the same of Lampard.

Totally agree Rich. I placed a comment on here yesterday saying the same. I greatly appreciate that it is Mr Moshiri's money, not mine. but City have just spent £50m TWICE on Full Backs! Sigurdsson is a goalscoring, very creative, attacking International Midfielder with a wealth of Premier League experience, so in my opinion He would be worth every penny of £50m. Get the deal done please Mr Moshiri to help complete Koeman's plan for the future and then move on to Giroud. maybe?

clearly statistics mean nothing over your personal opinions rich/ golden if you take out gylfi's dead ball statistcs he scored 5 goals and had 3 assists last season and this is what you say is worth 50 mill. you know i could be wrong there it could be 3 goals and 5 assists last season been a couple of weeks since i last checked his stats. pep has a plan for those fullbacks he is planning to counter l/ pool and spurs high tempo game to win the prem well that's his idea we have a plan to push for top 4 and and maybe make a cup final maybe next year more likely to be 3 we would have a similar aim but the 2 things cannot be relevant in anyway you get big prize money for winning prem you are deluded if you think gylfi and or giroud are the missing pieces for a title winning team and so therefore by defitintion he is not worth the money the kids we have already at the club could contribute 5 goals and 3 assists. glad i don't have to send you the shop for my daily apple.

What logical reason can you take his dead ball statistics out of the equation?

Its part of the game and its a rare commodity, surely that improves his worth, rather than decreases it, like you are trying to.

Need to give your head a wobble.

"Arr na, think we will pass on him, he bags to many fks an pens. "

because as of yet we have no one for him to aim his dead ball skill at. as of yet, giroud has options and doesn't sound impressed by efc' initial affections maybe that could change but there is nothing other than wishful thinking that says he will move from the gunners to the toffees he is wanted in france and germany. altho if this CSL story that is floating around is to be believed then their could be players from china available (they haven't paid their foreign players and stand to be kicked out of the league if they don't) there is a lot of good players in china atm that would probs want to get out of there. it doesn't bode well for the new season when you put all your eggs in one basket all the players we were linked with king, giroud gray, d. gray seem to have faded while we focus solely on gylfi. with no target man. so atm take out his dead ball skill cause he has nothing to aim at altho thinking about it if he is as good as his stats say he could probs cross a ball for the smallest person to head i guess. then again his assists where mostly to 6'4 llorente reknown for his heading.

Firstly he scored a number of direct free kicks that would be worth a good few points a season and secondly we've got Williams, Jags and Keane who are quality with their heads from set pieces.

We're three weeks into the window and have already spent £90m - pretty sure we've barely spent that in the last three years combined. Some people are never happy.

windsor by a number of goals you mean less than five which is the total number of goals he score when you take out the penaltys he scored last season, yeh! i could never be happy with players going for such a high sum when there is lots of similar players out there like the ox say who are available for half the money we need other players not just a gylfi why we are so focused on him i will never know.

Ox is a quality player as well and agree he's a bargain at £25m by comparison, but Koeman obviously has plans in mind in terms of shape and playing style that he feels Sigurdsson would fit better in to.

I'm not obsessed by any one player but Koeman knows better than any of us what tactics and squad will be able to compete in all competitions, so I'll leave it to him to decide the best additions.

That said, let's get both.
