Rumour I've heard is jose fonte from southampton fee of 5million. Solid centre back to boost numbers. Excellent euro 2016. Aged 32 i believe. Thoughts?

Hmm I would get the idea of bringing in someone experienced to help some of the talented kids we have in this position, but isn't that what jagielka is for?

I would take him think we miss a leader at the back with good experience remember Distan/ Stubbs/ Weir / gough all dun well for us in the twilight of their careers.

It obviously looks like we are going to have to get into Europe to attract bigger names so if this is a player who can shore up the defence and make us a better prospect in the future then I would take him. I want to go back to enjoying watching us and know there us a plan for the future.

I think it's v unlikely we going to get this napoli guy. See him going to Chelsea. Fonte not a bad player but not someone get excited about.

Jags has still got a few seasons left in him. Thought he was one of our better players last season. Get bmi from porto to sit along side him or kane from Burnley,

I highly doubt he'd leave Saints. He's been there since the League One days. He's now their captain and I don't see the incentive for the switch when Southampton have consistently beaten their previous season for 7 years or so now. They're also playing Europa League football this year so I see no incentive.
