Apparently RM has said that Kev and Rom are going to miss the start of the season, this can't be true?! Starting the season with Naismith and a half fit Kone sounds like a recipe for failure.

Worse than that. Kone not fit for weeks yet

2.) 09 Aug 2014
No, Mirallas and Rom are going to miss Paderborn match.

They won't be playing today but we have a friendly against an unknown opponent Tuesday behind closed doors, but reports suggest otherwise that they will be fit for next week

Rom and mirrallas getting extra week off due to World Cup

Yea, because they need the rest as they played every minute of each match. Sheesh, laughable innit

6.) 09 Aug 2014
It was hardly like Belgium won the World Cup! One "behind closed doors" friendly doesn't sound like great preparation! Let's all pray that they are both starting against Leicester!

Quote from Martinez- “For Romelu, it will depend on how he adapts to work from now until August 16, but remember every player is a bit different and Romelo has been training for 10-15 days on his own. We will see…We will never take a risk. If a player is not fully fit, we are not going to use him for 90 minutes, that’s for sure….After this weekend, I would consider Muhamed Besic, Ross Barkley, Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines all to be fully fit, so it will only be Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas who might not start the season.”

Besic looks a good signing can't say to much because haven't seen the game today but hoping he's like Joe Parkinson but then again might have a touch of Trevor Steven with his touch
