Tarashaj off to Eintracht Frankfurt for season long loan.
Surely a forward MUST be in the bag?

Sky sports reporting Gabbiadini may still happen.
Brahmin allegedly close.
Talks yesterday with Sissoko
Can still see Kone happening.
All those and a GK

Just a normal Everton deadline day eh!
But just imagine COYB.

Holy crap Dave, if Carslberg made transfer days they you have just named it mate, i'm nominating this for the most exciting post this year after Mr Moshiri's ones.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 07:49:30
sorry missed one out, third most exciting post as the Bramley Moore dock got my testies playing conkers last week.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 08:12:55
Ssn just said there no medical booked in for Brahmin.

4.) 31 Aug 2016 08:02:34
Been saying all week about Sissoko. I hope my gut feel is right. All parties would benefit with McCarthy going the opposite way. I can smell a Sissoko cooking! Ready about noon!

5.) 31 Aug 2016 08:32:25
Looks like Tottenham are after him now.

6.) 31 Aug 2016 08:41:38
Read on sky page, Spurs interested now in Sissoko. Whether genuine or not remains to be seen.

{Ed002's Note - Whilst Newcastle has said they have had no offers for Moussa Sissoko at this time, they are choosing their words carefully as there have been offers but none close to being acceptable and none even half of the asking price. An approach from Napoli was expected to yield an offer but the price was far too high for them and they won't return as business is complete for them. Everton, West Brom and Spurs are interested but at a much lower price than is being asked. Crystal Palace have already been scared off by the price. Unless a significantly higher offer is made he will stay where he is.}

7.) 31 Aug 2016 08:53:57
I forgot Niasse and McHeady out Murf.
That must top the lot!

8.) 31 Aug 2016 08:55:18
being reported that Spurs have only offered £19m, £16m short of what the Barcodes want.

9.) 31 Aug 2016 10:31:10
We should offer McCarthy and 15 million and see what they think of that.

10.) 31 Aug 2016 10:30:13
I think desperation is creeping in with Newcastle selling Sissoko. Willing to accept 5 installments of 6mil and making this news public seems like a last ditch effort to get offers in.
Is there a possibility that Benitez want on a crazy spending spree assuring the board he would balance the books a little by selling Sissoko? He always seemed like a manager who loves to buy tonnes of players and i think he was sure he could play hardball and demand 30mil after the Euro's performances. I have a feeling a move will happen somewhere but at a much lower price.

11.) 31 Aug 2016 14:48:08
Love the optimism Dave. plus degsy, nice to see you being optimistic as well. spurs have pulled out of sissoko.

'Substantial bid'been lodged apparently for Kamil Grosicki currently with Rennes.
Dont know much about him but good reason to take more notice of games over weekend (source Inside Futbol)

1.) 24 Jun 2016 14:13:52
. not sure how true yet. but he is a good player. will watch with interest.

2.) 24 Jun 2016 16:58:15
Agree he is good player with lots of pace but another right winger if he does come to us then we will have to sell one of right wingers we already have think we should go for ivan perisic on the left wing the lad is class what u think.

09 Jan 2014 20:18:39
Everton now favourites on tv for Tom Ince. Be a good signing. Bit more pace on the wings and youthful. iMWT

Dave1878

1.) have us favourites, ssn nes are covering him for Swansea so I don't know who to believe

2.) Could be just to make money on the betting covering it all for swansea even thou were favs

3.) Ince won't go to Swansea. He turned down Cardiff because didn't want to uproot family. With everton he can still stay in the area so Everton odds on to sign him.

4.) 10 Jan 2014 21:56:09
Ex Liverpool?

22 Aug 2013 06:58:39
Chelsea considering offering 4.2m for Eric Dier. We need a centre half who can pass the ball. Why did DM not give him a chance. Yet another way he cost us money!

Dave1878

1.) Ahh what? We only had a loan deal for the lad, we wanted to keep him I think but couldn't raise the funds.

You expect David Moyes to play a 17yr old loanee, with no first team experience whatsoever, and over an inform Heitinga at the time, Jagielka and Distin in the Premier League?

2.) We weren't allowed to play him in first team games

3.) He was on a development loan - only allowed to play in the reserves to gain experience, we were never going to sign him at the time as they didn't want to let him go

If he has become available, we should definately try to sign him

Superhands279

4.) To the 1st replier:

We wanted to get him on another youth loan, but he turned it down because he felt he didn't get enough playing time (I think in the u21s, or maybe the 1st team). Plus, he didn't exactly like Moyes.

He went back to Lisbon and played some first team games there, so he does have first team experience.

So Lukaku now saying he is not close to signing a new deal.
Am i the only one who thinks his agent is playing games, to keep the fans onside for the moment, when the reality is he fully intends to leave in the summer and get best deal for HIMSELF.

I know these things are complex but he was 99.99 percent before Xmas. Only a case of sorting a new wage and a release clause surely?

Dave1878

1.) 13 Mar 2017 10:05:27
Someone, somewhere is playing games. I'm pointing fingers but his agent is no stranger to playing games.

{Ed002's Note - Try not to get to wrapped up in the various "clauses". What they want is a Termination Clause that does not over-price him for a move to a Champions League side. And also remember, players eventually become sick of being asked the same question over and over.}

2.) 13 Mar 2017 16:37:42
also says he was smiling each time he was asked the question I have no doubt he will sign but it will have a large termination fee involved.

3.) 13 Mar 2017 18:34:33
It's utter rubbish as usual. As if some Begium third rate media outlet is going to get a world exclusive!

4.) 14 Mar 2017 15:23:08
Is it natural that top players will be associated with all sorts of rumours and stories, its what sells papers. I agree with Ed if every time someone poked a microphone under his nose and repeated the same question over and over I would get bored of giving the same answer.
I would not get wrapped up in this at this point of the season.

26 Jan 2017 18:26:00
Niang gone to Watford on loan with view to a permanent.
Dont know if us being linked with him was just regurgitating old news due to previous links and he has hardly set Serie A on fire

But i hope he didn't choose Watford ahead of us if we were actually interested or that we sat thinking about it for too long

Dave1878

{Ed002's Note - It was nothing to do with Everton.}

26 May 2016 10:40:58
I'm really grateful that Lukaku is going to do us the 'honour' of talking to Moshiri out of courtesy. I mean why should he do it just because he is on £70 k (or whatever) a week and still contracted to the club.
Bottom line is he has ability though not as much as he believes but his attitude and work rate are dire. Always someone elses fault, barely wins a header.
With his ability and Marcus Bents work rate you may have a player.
But with his ability and poor attitude show him the door - but on OUR terms.

Do we have any money to spend without selling first Eds?
Would be worried if we lost Jela without a like replacement - be happy with Ince and mcGeady coming in but not as direct replacements.

From the Felli money, £13 mill gone on James Mc, £5 mill on Kone, add in wages and loan fees for GB and RL and there's another 6/7 mill. Doesn't leave a lot!

Be a real shame if we couldn't get a quality striker in to help RL and really push for top 4.

Dave1878

{Ed013's Note - Yes there is money there, but by selling some fringe players you will be able to sign some better quality players}

1.) Pleas correct me if I am wrong but didn't we say that we didn't need to sell to get the cash for McCarthy. if this was right then we should have a lot more money to spend now.

28 Aug 2013 06:52:11
It is no good everyone on here saying Felli worth at least 24m or 30m etc. if nobody is willing to pay that then he ain't worth it. AW thought about it and decided he wasn't worth it, nobody else rushed to pay the buy out clause. As good as he is, is he best suited to the RM style of short, quick passes? Answer - NO! We have held out for best offer and this (hopefully) gives us time to get a replacement and hopefully a couple more in. McCarthy will come in for 12m, add to that Piatti (?) for 1.75, Toby for 6 and Moses on loan and I will be happy.
Ps taxi for Vic

Dave1878

1.) So if they don't want to pay it then don't sell him. People forget he was brilliant for us lst season. All this talk is bound to effect his game.

2.) Sorry but the price of an asset is set buy the seller not the buyer so if EFC think he is worth £30m then he is worth £30m it does not matter what the buyer wants to pay if the seller won't lower his price then he can't buy the asset. Unless the seller is forced to sell due to external pressures what ever they may be then they set the fee. As far as I have been led to believe EFC do not need to sell any player and therefore can set the price to whatever the wish.

Only problem with starting Kenny is that we become very susceptible to diagonal ball due to his size. That is only reason i can see that Koeman went for Cuco who is far taller. Kenny offers a lot more pace and quality in his crossing but bottom line is that he is first and foremost a defender.

Wouldn't disagree Dunc. Problem is we have tried virtually everything else and nothing works.
Trying to be positive, when we get Yannick, Mori and Seamus back maybe we have a 'first 11' because that is what we desperately need - some stability, a formation that suits US and not changing every week because of who we play. Let them worry about us

So once the three are back;

Pickford
Seamus Keane Mori Baines
Gueye
Vlasic. Sig. Bolasie
Ramirez. Rooney or DCL

Bench of Lookman, Holgate, Schneiderlin, klaasen, Niasse, Davies.

We say no leadership and yet we have Man U and Englands captain, wales captain, Ajax captain as well as our own captain. So leadership is not something we should be lacking - but unfortunately, just like motivation, we are.
We need an injection of pace somewhere and last night, with Holgate and Baines we had zero forward movement. Even Baines has lost that ability to pass players and get crosses in - we constantly take easy option.

For me, and being a little radical because something different is clearly required, I would go 3-5-2

Baines, Keane, Holgate
Cuco, Davies, Gueye, Kenny
Sig
DCL. Sandro or Rooney

Bit more pace at back. Jags and Williams make everyone nervous so let Keane take responsibility. Baines not got the pace to get past people anymore but gives us balance with a left foot

And most of all we may get some enthusiasm

It won't happen, but,

Think RK was forced into playing a back 5 yesterday - whether he would have done without all injuries who knows. But if you playing that then surely Cuco a better option at RB because you need full backs to push forward - and that is not Masons game.
Hopefully 2/ 3 signings this week + replace any outs, get Gylfi a bit more match practice and we can look to turn over Spurs. That game definitely winnable.

Agree Woburn.
At the match you constantly hear people having a go at him because of lack of pace. But as soon as he is moving the sentiment starts.

Alex Ferguson - and dare I say the reds teams of the eighties knew when to move people on before their performance dipped.
For me Gaz Baz could have gone 12 months ago.

Model pro, very respectful other two others I could mention - but we are aiming higher now.

COYB.
