tv states, Roberto Martinez had admitted he is ready to quit Wigan. for who though

graham23

1.) Anyone but us I hope

Toffee ace

2.) The Everton job's Martinez' if he wants it. Let's see if he has the ambition to accept it.

3.) Please not us!

4.) What about STUBBSY!!!!

5.) Who then

6.) I don't understand why Martinez is so well regarded. Ok it's Wigan but 25 wins in four seasons is very poor, hence continual relegation battles. Could do without them again working out all permutations and fixtures for months after Chrimbo. Ok going forward but his defensive record every season is shocking. let's face it Moyes may not have been everyone's favourite but he kept us consistey in top 8, and often higher. Big ask that. Jack Carter

7.) 25 wins in 4 seasons? Someone needs to get their facts right, I severely doubt they have averaged 6 league wins over the past 4 seasons, especially since they have 9 wins this season alone. You would imagine they would have just under 40 wins in the last 4 seasons.

This relegation malarky is rubbish as well, yes, it isn't a good thing, but tell me, how many people over the last 4 seasons had Wigan going down each season, I certainly did, because, no disrespect to Wigan, they are a Championship club, they don't have the finances we have (in terms of wages especially), they don't have the pulling power of an Everton, for example, Martinez wanted John Stones, and he was set to go there, but as soon as Everton made their intentions clear, he was off to Everton, very difficult to attract quality players to Wigan, and when they do, they are normally sold.

Relegation isn't the biggest factor to me because it doesn't define the manager, plenty of good managers have been relegated, I take it because Wenger and Jurgen Klopp were relegated, they are garbage as well?

all this spout about martinez being continually in relegation battles is doing my head in, suggesting that he is a poor manager. he is only as good as what he has available. It's like saying if Alex Ferguson came to manage Everton (admitedly it won't happen) but suppose hypothetically it did, would Everton automatically be challenging for the title as ferguson has been involved in many league title challenges, many of which he has won! Evertons squad is better both defensively and attacking than that of Wigan's, so he would inherit that squad to work with. His style of play is much more attacking than moyes and ball retention being a focus, this should help everton progress as we would finish off many of the game which we have drawn this season. Get off his back. If he's picked to be Everton Manager I will fully support him and believe he could go on to win trophies for us.
