Martinez stated yesterday that we would know his new club by "maybe Monday. " I would say its highly probable that Roberto Martinez has agreed a deal and is the next Manager of Everton. All that remains is for BK to agree a figure of compensation with DW which should be done by the weekend. Then Roberto Martinez will be unveiled as the new Everton Manager by "maybe Monday".

4.) Everyone is a risk, Moyes to United is a huge risk, no one guaranteed success. I would say winning the FA Cup with Wigan however is a better achievement than winning a gimme league and cup in Portugal with Jose / AVB's team. Wigan won 3-0 at Goodison in the Semi's with a fantastic display and i'm sure that will have impressed a lot of important people. Whoever gets the job you can be sure BK will say he considered and interviewed everybody and *insert name here* was head and shoulders above the rest and defo the right guy.

Now Martinez is dicatating and telling the press when HE will know HIS next club, how about it keeps his trap shut until a formal announcement is made, he can't help but comment all the time can he. doesn't bode well at all if he is appointed. I for one think he will be gone before the season is out with us fourth or third from bottom. It will be like the Ramos era at Spurs {Ed025's Note - grow a set mate..

De-Ja-Vu? This was from the time of his Wigan appointment, I believe this is what is holding up the announcement at Everton aswell.
"The appointment had been delayed by talks with Martinez's former club Swansea over compensation for the 35-year-old and then his backroom staff.
But the two camps have now agreed a deal for assistant Graeme Jones and chief scout Kevin Reeves to move.
And Martinez is expected to be unveiled to the media on Tuesday after an attempt to do so last week was aborted.
He had been due to be presented as Wigan boss at a news conference last Thursday after the Premier League club agreed an estimated £2m compensation deal with Swansea.
But that payment did not include Martinez's managerial team who helped him to such success at Swansea in his two years in the Liberty Stadium hotseat.
So Wigan's live TV press conference ended in embarrassment as Latics chairman Dave Whelan could not publicly introduce the successor to Steve Bruce, who has taken over at Sunderland.
Championship club Swansea hoped for a fee of around £500,000 in compensation for their assistant manager Jones and talent-spotter Reeves but the final settlement is undisclosed. "
Whelan has shouted his mouth off early as Everton are still negotiating with Wigan for two of their back room staff. Everton can't announce the deal for RM until these men are signed aswell. Whelan trying to force Bill's hand into an instant compo agreement for the backroom staff aswell. Bill is having none of it hence the latest announcement and will play the long game to get the best price for the backroom staff aswell. This is my theory anyway.
