I have contacts with leading agent. He told me weeks ago Everton only have 5 to 6 million to spend up front. any more would have to be spread over other seasons. The delay with Kone deal was Everton wouldn't pay much up front. other clubs moved in but the player only wanted to go to Everton. So all these links are bull. when clubs find out Everton want to buy players on the never never or on loan they tell them to do one. Expect maximum of one more player unless we sell. By the way he also said Everton would cash in on baines if bid was around 16 18 million but United don't want to pay that they offered ten. He also said ArsenAl won't stump up the fifty mill transfer and wages for Felli.
1.) I don't get it why would an agent know how much we have to spend?
2.) Every transfer no matter how rich are done on as you call it the never never do you actually anything about football
3.) There are a million ways to structure a transfer deal. The idea that other clubs would be looking down their noses at Everton (for wanting to minimise their outlay) is risible.
Real still owe Tottenham for Modric - does that mean Los Vikingos are a perrenial embarrassment to their fans?

6.) I know payments are spread but most clubs want a bigger lump sum up front which Everton don't have. Why can't you take on board the club is skint have you been asleep for the past two decades. There won't be any big money signings unless Felliani is flogged.
7.) Bit harsh to flog him IMO. He may be a liability at times but doesn't deserve a flogging.

For goodness sake. why would we tell an agent how much we have to spend unless we want to pay top dollar. And yes, we do pay for players over a period of time, usually over the length of their contract.
Pretty much the same as United did when they bought Rooney off us!

paul p whos the respected person in the media you were talking to. Every club does this splitin up of payments or add ons its nothing new.
