If you think about it, at the start of the year before beating man u how many people would've said we would be in 6th place only 7 points off the champions league and knocked out in the quarters of the fa cup. This is just like any other season of the past 3. SO QUIT MOANING, GET YOUR EVERTON SHIRTS BACK ON AND START SUPPORTING THE SIDE! COYB

lankylad

1.) You got it spot on there mate, basicly we are all hurting now, we are not in bad shape really. Hopefully a kick up the back side is what we needed to push on in the league.

Westy

2.) That is all anyone says, but it's a little more complicate than that as when you have expectations, and you don't live up to them, fans get a little annoyed. Plus, it's not just results. If our team play to the best of their ability - which is what us, the PAYING fans, deserve, we would have won yesterday, or at least seen a very unlucky side lose which played very well. Problem is, we didn't. We saw a non existent footballing side that only really looked slightly interesting when our homegrown Toffee (Barkely) came on.

3.) People are entitled to moan. It is this sort of 'everything is perfect and we are great' mentality that has made us go 19 years with winning bugger all. Getting knocked out in the quarters is nothing to be proud of, may as well of gone out in the 3rd round.

Mike

4.) Fans have a right to moan after that loss to Wigan. They paid good money to watch their team play football, instead they saw 11 players who looked like they couldn't even be arsed to put the shirt on, never mind play. Should never be accepted by fans.

As for your first part of the comment, if you had told me that the team to knock us out of the cup was WIGAN ATHELTIC at GOODISON PARK, I wouldn't of accepted that.

Top 4, after the debacle of Jan 31, I kind of accepted as a long shot because squad depth is key to securing that top 4 position. But this side has no excuse for the FA Cup, this starting XI is good enough to match any side in the country and really the FA Cup was a very realistic opportunity for this side this season. So it is bitterly disappointing to get knocked out, especially given the circumstances.

5.) Thank you lanky finally someone with cop on the way our fans behaved on here yesterday I taught it was the Kopites site I was on everybody has a right to be pissed of but don't behave like that shower across the way Stef the blue supporting the blues through good tiimes and bad

Was that Moyes` team talk at half time yesterday?

Just thinking, if we beat Wigan, we could get put against Blackburn/Millwall in the semi's. that would make it a whole lot easier to get within 1 GAME off getting into Europe and ending our quest for a trophy (18 Years)

2.) Agree with you mike tbh

3.) Man u or city would be easier.

City = beat us once in 6 yrs
Utd - done them in the semis before

Knowing our luck we'll get milwall (if we go through) and lose to a late 89m goal

4.) Huh? United or City would be an easier tie than millwall or blackburn in the Semi's? I got to disagree with that. Compare the team sheets lol, that would make amusing reading. I'd also like one of the Championship clubs in the semi's, give us a real good chance in reaching the final.
Ed, on a serious note is there any chance Moyes will stay on and sign a new cotract? What are the chances?

Dog Puke Peter {Ed025's Note - i think the chances are very good peter... where on earth will he find a big club like ours, who are willing to pay top dollar, with his managerial record mate?..

5.) Well even if we do get through and meet Blackburn or Millwall in the semis, we're still probably going to have to beat Man U/Man City in the final to win it. Quite far from it being job done!.

6.) Would rather get one of the big teams in the semi to be honest! Knock them out and then have a easier game in the final hopefully! {Ed025's Note - easier route the better for me..

Hi Lads, not sure if I'm going to get Disagrees for this, but personally I would LOVE to see Micah Richards at the club. He never plays for City, behind Zabaleta and Maicon, would fit into our team straight away and would get him cheap as he is 3rd choice RB! C'mon Moyesey work ya magic man! {Ed025's Note - i agree lanky, one hell of a player mate..

lankylad

1.) Top RB imo, and could also be a good CB.

2.) He's not third choice, he has been injured and up until the injury was first choice!

3.) He has been injured most of the season. When fit he is first choice mate

4.) 09 Mar 2013 10:04:22
Yes, he's not 3rd choice but with Zabaleta (who is in the form of his life) then he may be the 3rd choice
