The takeover/investment news has featured on skysports now! Im not a beleiver just yet but im a little bit more optimistic about it now its been on skksports news! We shall see!
31 Oct 2011 16:36:58
If these takeover rumours prove to be true and it happens before Christmas this is the team i'd love to see before next season:
---------------------Howard------------------
--------------------------------------------------
--Coleman--Jagielka--Distin--Baines--
---------------------------------------------------
-----Osman------M'Vila------Barkley-----
---------------------------------------------------
---Eriksen-----Doumbia-----Drenthe---
Then either sell Fellani or keep him as a sub.
Keep Rodwell as a sub.
Keep Cahill as a sub. {Ed025's Note - i like the new signings mate...but your right hand side is weak,
I have to agree with Ed, as much as I love Leon I think he would struggle for a game if we had money to throw around. I also think we should build around Felli, not get rid of him!
Ok then, how about this:
Switch Osman with M'Vila
Take off Osman and put Fellani where M'Vila was
Nice!
Hey Ed025, forgot to put my name on the end of the post above.
Also what do you think is wrong on the right side.
Breeno {Ed025's Note - for me breeno, osman & coleman are very lightweight, they give us very little defensively, and to be honest, leon is only a squad player at best!, i know some blues will say he was our best player last year, but give me someone like joey barton any day, leon drifts in and out of games too much, and although i think he has the ability...he lacks the one quality we expect of all our players....heart!
Hey Ed, what do you not like about the right side and what would you do differently?
I'd like to see what you would change on my team because I think its very good. Its very attacking plus its very secure in my opinion. Would like to see your opinion. {Ed025's Note - please see previous post...and for coleman replace with heitinga, and osman with barton.....just my opinion!
Ok Ed, don't like Barton that much though, and Coleman is there because I think if he gets more experience there he could be really good and turn out like Baines.
Also sorry for posting that twice because I posted the first one and it didn't go up so I thought something went wrong with it or something and so you didn't see it.
Breeno {Ed025's Note - i agree that coleman is one for the future breeno, just not ready yet...barton is very effective, a total pot herb, but very effective..
Howard
heitinga jags ecuele-manga baines
rodwell fellaini holtby
drenthe saha doumbia
or pushing drenthe to RM to form a 4-4-2 {Ed025's Note - if only..
Why are people still talking about barton - he's gone to QPR hasn't he - presumably for at least a few years - we had a chance in the summer and Moyes wasn't interested (big mistake with Pienaar Fellaini running his contract down)
Wowww ed025..... i usually agree with most things you say mate, but to say Leon Osman lacks heart when he plays is probably the worst judgement of a player i can think off, i totally agree that he is a squad player and is not consistent enough to be a starter in the 11 but he lacks heart ??? No way {Ed025's Note - i will change that ...to bite then...maybe heart was not the right word, i do think he tries, but he is very frustrating, we all know he has the ability, but for me does not get involved enough..
Yes, bite is probably the right word mate, agree with ya now haha.

Let's not get carried away with any takeover stories, firstly wait and see if their is any substance behind the story. Then, realise that the first prospective buyer to come along may not be good for the club (we see takeovers go horribly wrong all the time).

Firstly i never want to see Billy play ever again, he was appalling. Lacks pace, touch, confidence, vision and workrate.
Very unhappy with the result at the weekend. A lot of possession with no end product what so ever. The highlight of the second half for me was the 35 yarder from Jags! I am also starting to think that we might be better off playing Coleman at right back. He seems to be better at getting a run up and overlapping the midfield. Far to many times at the weekend the ball falls to Hibbo and no end product. Yes he can defend but he cant pass or cross. We also can not carry on playing the rest of the season with Osman in front of Rodwell and Felliani. A real lack of pace in the middle and we break so slowly. Cahill needs to start scoring to warrant his place as well. Would try this for the Newcastle match as Felli is suspended and assuming Neville and Cahill are fit.
Howard
Coleman Heitinga/Distin Jags Baines
Neville Rodwell
Barkley Osman/Cahill Drenthe
Saha
We need a new play maker in January as a priority. Missing Arteta big time.
How many more times, Coleman can't defend and you'd seriously play Neville in midfield instead of Felli? {Ed025's Note - i must admit...it seems strange to me as well..
He didnt pick Neville above Fellaini. He is suspended so quite obviously that means he cant play...please either learn to read or read the entire post before passing judgement
Felli is suspended for newcastle game thats why Neville will play otherwise felli would be playing!!
Id go for;
Howard
Hibbert Jags Distin/Heitinga Baines
Coleman Neville Rodwell Drenthe
Cahill Saha
Pretty solid and defensive in the middle with rodders and nev and then pace with Drenthe and Coleman {Ed025's Note - so you are dropping fellaini for neville?....not for me mate...if you swap fellaini for neville...and vellios for cahill, then it does not look too bad with the squad we have at the moment..

Hey everyone, Christmas is coming so maybe if we've been good Santa will give us a takeover for Christmas. :)
Wouldn't mind Santa sticking his boots on and playing up front. He's slimmer than the Yak ever was!
I remember when we loved The Yak! How fickle we Toffees can be!
Still love the Yak. Always will...however.... He always has, and always will be, quite portly.

lets not get carried away with takeover talk and as much as id like it to be true until the club or indians give us confirmation i wil take it wit a pinch of salt,on another note, was at the game on sat and if i see billy gettin a startin place i will crack up,he is just not up to it,no skill, pace or committment, time to go back to russia
31 Oct 2011 12:14:30
Just as many have expected, bill trying to put in a deal that leaves him with his train set, please, for the good of the club, GO.
31 Oct 2011 11:01:57
I think we should sign Akinfenwa from Gillingham for fun. Has anyone seen this guy? He looks like he's eaten the Yak! He's 6ft 1, 16s 7lbs. WOW!!
Sorry. He's a Northampton now I think.
31 Oct 2011 10:38:24
Liverpool are signing jack rodwell for 25 million
Then "king" Kenny woke up and ate his cornflakes!
Then we got Messi in a straight swap with Anichebe.
I heard we got £10m in that deal aswell as Barca agreeing to pay Messis wages;)
31 Oct 2011 10:37:52
Rumours of takeover in the news today but also people saying not to get excited! So i wont!

May as well stick a few hundred quid on top 4 teams beating us every time we play them - Moyes seems to think a one nil defeat to a top four team is a good result and hence he plays for it.
You see inferior teams to us (in terms of ability and money spent) really going for it when they play champions league teams but we don't, we play for a narrow loss and then every leaves happy - Moyes and the boys think they've played well and just got beat - oh dear - and the opposition are glad of the 3 points - so all are ahppy except for us Everton fans who are starting to get a bit hacked off by it.
Should we be looking at the Norich manager? - he seems to have a bit of fire in his belly.
I think we played well against Chelsea in the cup and Utd on Saturday and were unlucky to lose (although we did draw with Chelsea in the 90 mins). Having Royston against Utd could have made a difference. You need a reality check mate, we are not as close to the top in terms of quality as we have been in previous seasons due to players leaving and ageing and yes, newly promoted teams do tend to go all gung ho and sometimes they get a result but often they lose by 5 or 6!
We've had some cracking results against top four clubs in recent history mate, and in all fairness we've given them a good go this season too. Yes, sometimes we rightfully question Moyes tac-tics but without him I think we would have been relegated already. Next two months is really really important.... Must wins...no doubt about it.
Be careful what you wish for...remember the last manager we got from Norwich... {Ed001's Note - I said that to 025 the other day when we were discussing who could possibly take Everton on from Moyes.}
