I would imagine that Pienaar and Naismith would be around 6-7mil for the duo. Very good business as far as I am concerned, 3 quality players for 6-7mil, and 3 players that could be the difference between European places and not. {Ed025's Note - your right mate..

As desperate as I was to see Barkley play games last season, I think Moyse is acutely aware of what happened with Rooney. Too much too soon meant we sold a player worth £75 million for a measly £27.

Ok we needed the money but now we are a more credible and consistent top 8 club. We will be patient with Ross so that in the unlikely event that we do business with him, we will be in a better position to demand an excellent fee.

Can I say though that although this post suggests selling our young talents, my strong view is that we keep our young guns and this includes Rodwell.

Too many posts on this site are righting him off. We should keep him because very soon he will be the very best centre back in the EPL. What do you think Ed? COYB

We need to start buying a few young players, plus we need to get barkley some game time use him a bit and that could be an easy 20 million.

Barkley will be the equivilent of a new signing either this coming or next season. Great that we have such a productive youth system.

Richardson not fir enough to lace Osman's boots! Why does Ossie still get a hard time from fans? Quality player, probably got the best close control in our squad, both footed, consistent (even thou ed025 thinks not), committed, creative, hard worker.
When we go through bad spells the likes of Hibbo, Osman, Cahill and Neville are the only players that don't go hiding but always go un-noticed by a lot of fans

everyone stop moaning about players we are linked with, they will boost the squad with numbers and remember we had the assassin jelavic for next season to ping in the goals. COYB !!!

We will not be boosting squad numbers - we can't afford to pay more wages. If we get anyone they will be straightforward replacements for players who have left.

Reading the landon donavan interview would i be wrong ed in suggesting he is after practally sending a come and get me to Everton he says he would love to come back if David Moyes wants him and either way he will be back at some point as a player or a fan and the way he talks about the fans the players and the people of merseyside it seems to me he would have no problems leaving La for a few years now that is just my take on it its on the Everton website i know money is an issue for us but if we could get him and peanuts without selling what we have now i reckon we have a very good chance of finishing in the top 4 .Stef the blue

hi eds, silly season seams to have gone into overdrive we are apparently being linked with just about everyone , their mates, and the neighbours dog! personally i don't think we need much to push on next season. for me i would like peinar back a right winger maybe holtby and manny fernandes, but that is just my opinion i'm sure david has his targets and will try to get the players he wants. if we can avoid losing our key men,
which i don't think we need to,and buy a couple get a couple of loans, maybe a free agent or two i think we will be a serious contender for top five if not higher next year and some silver ware would be nice, win the carling cup just to show you don't need to spend a 100 mil to do it! i know everyone will say we have no money bill and the board are tight and so on but what about the nike money? and don't forget that transfers are seldom paid immediately look at the jelavic deal, worth 5.5 mil but we haven't paid that yet. we could probably spend 12-15 mil but only put down 5 mil with the rest in instalments, so lets all get behind everyone at the club and wait and see what happens, support the boys next year, sing our hearts out and make goodison the intimidating place it used to be, and not the quiet sombre place it was on to many occasions this year.........grbefc {Ed025's Note - good post grb..
