Hoillett will have a huge choice of clubs and unfortunately even if we are interested he wont come to us, everyone thinks we are going to sign Holtby for some reason just because he said last year his dad was a blue, doesn't mean Moyes is a fan though.
Pranjic and Pienaar are realistic though
I no Adler is a class keeper but i would not just take Howard out the team, Just give Howard 1 maybe 2 seasons more and then have Adler come as are 1st choice he would then still only be 28 and would be a worthy replacement, also with the Hoilett thing i no lots of clubs will want to sign him especially because he is free but the teams who have been interested like Spurs and Arsenal probably wont even give him a game, plus i think with this team we would most definitely get a european spot so i think if Hoilett looks at the bigger picture Everton would be a great choice, now about Holtby i put him in the side because thats what we need a creative midfielder im not to fussed if its not Holtby just someone who drives with it through the middle and makes things happen... plus challenging for top 4 would not be out the picture.

Rodwell, Duffy, Gueye all over 20, and there is other strikers like Forrester, Long etc. that are in the u18's, Green is only in the u16's with the likes of Joey Johnson and Mason Springthorpe.
Rodwell is 20 mate.... Sorry Duffy has JUST turned 21 in January and your correct Gueye is 21.... but does it really matter !!?

hey eds!! what positions do you think we should be looking at improving in the summer i would like to see us get a new right back and even though peanuts is back i think we need another creative player in the middle fellaini is class but rodwell and gibson are very similar and osman is best behind the striker in my opinion we badly need another striker i think jelavic not proven yet and that leaves anichebe, vellios and straq all young and not really proven goalscorers so a striker is a option we need to look at aswel
who would the eds think we would realisticly look at and where do you think we need improving i would like your opinions eds please

I dont think howard would leave ed he has 18 months left and he already said he would love to finish his career at everton, cover for left back i agree with you there ed, baines has not been injured or missed a league game for almost 3 years but we cant rely on him continuing like that and a striker aswell but as for howard i know what your saying you never know in football but howard will be a everton kepper for the next 3-4 years i think

That would be my fear, Baines is the closest to irreplaceable at Everton, that is why I have never once believed any of the rumours of him being sold. But I just don't see any cover for him in the squad, unless a youngster steps up.}
We should be more worried about Distin Ed {Ed025's Note - he had done very well for us mate...and i expect him to stay on a 1 year deal.
The young left back Luke Garbutt has been getting rave reviews on loan at Cheltenham, and would expect him to come into the squad for next season as cover for Baines. Reports suggest he is a very similar player to Baines loves to attack and delivers good quality crosses. So I think we should be ok at left

Straqualersui
Straq is best for the loan man upfront and i would play Drenthe in a 5 man midfield with there being plenty of cover.
In a 4-4-2 i'd go for
Howard
Hibbert Heitinga Jagielka Baines
Coleman/Osman Fellaini Rodwell Pienaar
Jelavic Straqualersui
4 man midfield you need discipline and hard work so that's why i'd go for Coleman or Osman on the right because both works hard and track back more than Drenthe would and both can also be a threat in the final third
What would my fellow blues think our best options would be ?
I don't mind if you disagree with what i think, im just happy that for the first time since maybe 2009/2010 we have a squad with options, after my two teams we still have Barkley, Gibson, Distin, Neville, Gueye, Vellios and this new kid Junior if he gets involved in the matchday squads.

Didn't realize just how bad the situation is at Glasgow Rangers ! Just said on SSN that they may even end up starting again and becoming a whole new club !!!!! Madness
Makes you wonder, we might moan about our crappy board but we are lucky really at least the club is run and afloat, we have debts but there running debts and we can cope with it.

Just think i should point out that Blackpool game isn't going to be easy. There a good passing, attacking side, playing with confidence and our 4th in the championship, there no mugs and Holloway is a good manager.
Everyone on here saying things like give the youngsters a go on saturday.... looking forward to a few goals on saturday etc etc...... Be a bit cautious it will be tough and Blackpool will feel confident, if we play with high tempo and to the same levels we have done lately i think we will win 2-1 but we have to work hard, this will be no walk over like some think.

I agree, people are presuming it will be a walk over, we thought that about Reading last season. Blackpool are playing well and have won the last 4 games scoring goals, i think we will concede but if we work hard and i think we will get space we should go through, blackpool play attacking football so we will get chances and if we on our game we have to take them, i agree 2-1 to the blues be great if Donovan scores on his last game !
