Nobody knows for certain, but over the months and years various rumours/ stories have come out. Moshri had advisors that gave him bad advice. Moshri did not listen to Bill or the board (Benitez etc.) I honestly believe that Moshri plus A.N. Other has / had the best interests of the Club at heart, but Moshri in particular was somewhat naïve. My other belief is the Government sanctioned a source of substantial funds crucial to the club. loans ergo had to be begged from other sources, perhaps not as closely linked with our owner. Us older ones certainly do not would not rejoice in Liverpool being harshly treated (being beat on the field of play a different thought entirely LOL).

1. Moshri had bad advice.
2. Bill tried to advise but was ignored.
3. Suspicion that financial support interference was by another party (reported on widely)
4. Everton lost an important source because of sanctions.
5. A comment suggested that Everton supporters would rejoice if Liverpool were punished. I rejected that same way as Liverpool do not rejoice in our punishment. Does that help Wolf73.
