Well proven wrong again, well done SD and the boys, it's the fittest I've seen us since moyes left.

I honestly believe that the managers since Moyes have either been way too dogmatic about their own philosophies (heads up their own backsides)
Or pure itinerant, (taking a leave of absence from genuine effort) and always planned to move on sooner rather than later.

Sean Dyche is the only manager post DM to actually have both real football grey cells and be willing to put in the appropriate shift.
Of course, IMO . . .

Even though I agree in some part, Martinez got the Club and I believe Silva would have done given time. Martinez leaving was because us fans suddenly saw dollar signs when Moshri came in. He then tried to be all things to all men without the nounce or proper advisors around him. It is what it is, we have a Manager now that has Thelwell onside. Hopefully we can gather enough points so as not to rely on off field events coming to our aid. 7 wins 2 draws 7 losses and in this case the table does lie.

Imo martinez leaving was and is because he's an extremely poor manager. He inherited a very good side so it wasn't such a surprise when he delivered 5th. As time progressed under his reign the team detoriated. Have a look at what he didn't achieve/ deliver with the best Belgian side in there history. Everyone's entitled to there opinions but out of all the garbage managers we have had martinez is top 3 easy for me. He is very good however at talking nonsense and using buzz words. He has all the hallmarks of a double glazing salesman.

Martinez at the time ended up in free fall and again IMO would have tikka takkered us into relegation, Silva had too many head scratching on the touch line days and looked like in a lot of eyes 'clueless' FM and his well documented f ups was only just getting warmed up at that stage.
SD and Thelwell look very promising, I agree.

Martinez IMO is a very good manager. He went before he had chance to spend any real money. He'd gambled on putting all his eggs in one basket with Lukaku and had no money left to fill the rest of the squad with any real quality.

He was sacked when we were 11th in the league and the players still backed him. We were a poor fan base for a lot of these managers and were calling for heads to roll way before Moshiri dropped the axe. Even now there are still some wanting Dyche to go.

However, we are getting better and I hope it continues. Backing a manager and team is more than being a 12th man, we are an integral part of the success of the club.

I honestly believe we would have been relegated and yes he did lose the dressing room as well as the fans
Blaming the fans is just the boardrooms way of not taking full responsibility, the quotes from that time speak volumes about Martinez's obstinacy. His deficiencies were always there, Wigan was the red flag as he was useless in league football and only seemed to thrive in KO football .
He squandered a solid base that he inherited from David Moyes and that IMO puts him up there with our poorest bosses.

Totally agree glory days and probably better put than my effort! Either way I 100 percent agree with you.

Dyche just seems to fit the bill and thank god.

My only gripe was the Ashley Young persistence but I will reserve judgement on that as he clearly knows a lot better than me!
