To me, it didn't make any sense to not start our biggest current goal threat. I would put Gray in ahead of Maupay and McNeil all day every day. I think that's crazy.

{Ed025's Note - McNeil at least put a shift in BT, as for maupay he could easily be replaced by the venus de milo mate..

McNeill done ok as Villa gave us so much time on the wings. He did put 4 crosses in a row straight to Martinez but worked hard. As for Maupay, worst striking performance I’ve seen. He didn’t attack fron post, back post or even 6yd box. Didn’t win a header or hold the ball up. He got a ball into his feet in box and 10secs later we are defending.

He has zero quality though Ed. Gray is inconsistent but is our biggest threat, will shoot and has pace. Can't for the life of me understand why he isn't starting.

{Ed025's Note - we dont see training every day BT like SD, his ideas are based on a collective team ethic and it doesn,t look like gray fits that brief at the moment, but i have to say he has to be more effective than maupay mate..
