With some managers you are not bothered they have gone. with Lampard it is tinged with sadness because unlike Koeman, you could tell how he bought into the club and how much he wanted to bring success. as for a new manager, unless some incoming transfers change the outlook, it will be difficult to get the right song out of this group. no Reid type to direct the midfield. Iwobi is not the answer and Dacoure and Ghana are stray passers. Onana needs someone in there with him who can keep us moving with the ball still in possession. as for the front line, Calvert Lewin even when not injured is a poacher from a few yards out but doesn't make things happen further out. new manager has to be in quick to get transfers done and bring some hope to a flickering flame.

Well put. Frank may not have done the job we wanted, but on a personal level I really did want him to succeed, and hope he finds success somewhere.

But I think he had to go.

There's a reason he mentioned the fans each day, and the Oscar goes too ?.

Well said Birkenhead. Saying all the right things was enough for a lot of people it seems. Fact is he didn’t have a clue how to manage people, tactics or games. People saying he couldn’t be backed because of FFP - we brought in McNeil, Vinagre and Maupay on his watch, none of them add anything but again we’ll be stuck with them until the end of their contracts.

Obviously the board is to blame overall, but Lampard was utterly clueless.

It's the Club lads Derby 42 percent, Chelsea 52 percent, here 27 percent the worse record of anyone.
