Whatever is going on behind the scenes, the truth is that we haven´t been able to assemble a coherent team in a very very long time. and have allowed a series of managers to overspend to a ridiculous degree on ordinary players. Siggy being an obvious one even if he hasn{t been part of the present debacle. You have to go back as far as Peter Reid to think of the last time we had a midfielder who really drove the team forward (and we picked him up at a bargain price) . In the short term, Duncan will hopefully get something out of players who were poorly picked and bought by Koeman and co. Futher ahead, Potter would be my choice. but it shows how far we have fallen that we question whether Everton have the clout to get a manager from Brighton and Hove Albion.
