Personally, losing Carlo is not a surprise to me, and in a way maybe the ticket we needed. On reflection at times his team selection asked questions of him and not the players. Our defence was good or bad, midfield at times non-existent, and we could not hit a barn door let alone hit the target. I think Carlo met his match with Everton. He is used to managing teams who already have high profile players and not the mess we have.

So once again we find ourselves looking for another manager. Another manager who will have his ways of playing and will want to bring in his type of player. Another manager where we will say he needs 3 transfer windows to be fair. Potter considered a great tactician by Pep, but can he attract the players we need for Europe, who won't come anyway as we are not in Europe. Howe, I have never been sure of. I can't really think of any other British manager who could just come in and do the miracle we need. Lampard not really proven, Gerrard would never come, So, we look to another foreign manager, who brings in his foreign team, but he can't attract players as we are not in Europe. In all this time of course Brands has been busying himself and do we see anything from this? How long do we wait for the Messiah's youth to shine through, and will a new manager play them?

Something is radically wrong at our club and I have to look at how it is being run and ask who by. Two seasons ago I had hope we were turning a corner. Last season I thought we were making progress and Europe beckoned. Now I am thinking I hope we finish above mid table next season.

Oh to be an Evertonian hey boys.

{Ed025's Note - hard to argue with any of that nick, a fine post mate..

I'd argue with the criticism of Brands. His signings have been great and I doubt any new manager will want to get rid of Digne, Doucouré and Godfrey whatever system they play.

You are right about us starting again and it's a big worry. On a positive and I am trying to remain positive. We are in a better place of getting rid of some of the rubbish that call themselves pro footballers. 2 years ago they were on long term contracts and we needed to get rid before buying. There is also the makings of a good team there. The positions identified will still have targets and the new man will allow some latitude with what Brands offers.
I just hope we i'd the right manager who has the right credentials and hunger to move us forward again. Maybe look at the Ajax manager. Conte got hounded out at Chelsea so may be a problem manager.

He’s had 3 windows, 2 great owns and 1 poor one.
