Hi Blue Mike in answer your posts by the way I'm 72 now so between us we have one hell of a lot of Everton years between us mate, I agree with some of your points but this bad play by some is constant week in and week out we witness Holgate for example making stupid mistakes and Siggy and Gomes why is it every game they are poor, Tom played well for two or three games and then back to his old tricks of fouls and more fouls just outside the box, I don't know what the answer is pal but what I would give for a Tommy Gravesen or Peter Reid in the Team, ah those memories mate but in Carlo I will trust and I will forever be a Blue, I love this Club as we all do, I am sure we will see the Glory days back, COYB.

"Desperately disappointing performance tonight

Once again our players are guilty of lapses of concentration, seemingly unable to focus on keeping the ball or doing the simple things - to me Holgate and Iwobi once again the main culprits

In second half we aimlessly passed it between the back five but once it went passed the halfway line we couldn't put two passes together. Aston Villa were far more cohesive in their play and showed up our failings.

A deserved loss and I am at a loss on where we go following it. "

I hope it proves that I get as frustrated as all of us do when the team behaves poorly

At 67 I also haven't got years and years to get it right but I'm not naive enough to think that bringing CA in as manager solved everything. Ever since Moyes left we have gone backwards and it will take time to put right.

Look at the teamsheet every week. I don't believe we have a strong squad. All I hear is is we shouldn't be playing Gomes or we shouldn't be playing Sigurdson so who should we play instead of them? Delph? Davies? We can't play Gbamin or Dacoure because of injuries so who do we play? It's been the same all season and personally I think CA has done well to get us where we are

Yes, I get frustrated with his substitutions, both players and timing but it's the same with every supporter/ club/ manager. Yes I get frustrated with the playing across the back line but every team is doing it- just some better than us

Let's face it we have just one creative player, James and after that it's Gomes and Sigurdson. James struggles to play every game and Gomes and Sigurdson lack a yard or two in pace

CA has done a good job with the tools he has. Pickford is playing better, Coleman has done a good job for us, Keane is once again the player we bought (most times anyway) Allan, James and Doucoure have improved the team. DCL is vastly improved

Give him another couple of windows. What's the alternative sack him and get someone else in that we can start slagging off in six months?

I should also have included Godfrey in the list of good signings -probably our best - last summer.

I'm not sure what the answer is either GB and we don't need to have one, that is what CA is paid the big bucks to do. Hopefully we can put some good performances in before the end of the season. I was fortunate to have been at the 1966 FA cup final. What we need is the heart and passion that those players showed to win the cup.
