Did anyone see the penalty awarded to Chelsea after VAR. And to make it worse they gave a red card . Football has lost its way and needs to look at itself it almost looks like it's corrupted.

It will reach a point we’re “strikers” will no longer try and have a shot at goal, but will just kick it at the defender to get a pen instead.
Being a defender is becoming almost an impossible task now. Not only do you have to dislocate your arms to hide them behind you, when trying to block a shot. But your not allowed to breath on the striker in case he falls over from the breeze, and you give away a penalty.
Imagine the likes of George Best playing today. Think the guy would get bored.

It' a mockery isn't it, I'm waiting for keepers punching the ball away after say, a corner to be penalised for threatening behaviour or dangerous play for kicking the ball to hard and frightening a keeper.

Yes OTT I know, however like Woburn mentioned 'Best' well I think he would have thought back in the 60's that what's happening now would be downright preposterous too.

That is one I have never understood, a striker jumps and the goalkeeper is touched, it is a foul, yet a goalkeeper can jump and even lean over a striker to punch the ball away And it is fine.

bignev, simple answer, you cannot shoulder charge a goalkeeper unless he has two feet on the floor, it in the rulebook, ok.
