right make of this what you will but I was listening to phone in on radio on way home from match, one lad came on and said he's a season ticket holder and sits right next to dug out and hears everything that gets said week in week out, am no Martinez fan but I do think he gets way to much stick and at times its way over the top, why the fans booed the lennon substitution was beond me the fans should of focused moor on giving lennon a standing ovation yes it was wrong substitution but how any fan thought booing helps in anyway is a joke especially 1-0 down again goodison was poor in getting behind the players they played well but all you got was moan moan moan the fans need to realise there responsibility at home games away we are the best vocally home we are shocking the place should of been bouncing, we all come on slag Martinez but at home the fans are guilty of not backing there team which i. m. o contributes to are poor home record, my 7 year old lad said why don't everton fans sing like w. b. a supporters I was ashamed and him hearing everyone around me moaning about are players will not help I've already lost my eldest son to them across the park I don't want to lose another, right getting back to my original point the lad who sits next to dug out every home game said Martinez duznt make the subs jones his number 2 dose this man has got away with murder and never hardly gets spoken about, the time of there goal he was bollocking the defence and disturbed there concentration and he's doing it week in week out, even the other coaches were shaking there heads at the subs that were made now am going by what this lad sees every home game and I can believe it jones hasn't a clue and I wouldn't be surprised if he's left to deal with the defencive sid of the game that's 3 seasons at home we havnt been able to break w. b. a down they seem to get the better of us they came with a game plan and it worked and this time are luck wasn't there 11 men behind the ball as I said we played well and on another day we would of won.

{Ed025's Note - i have to say muff. the response of our supporters is shocking, last week we were the best thing since sliced bread, this week we are the worst team ever to grace the park...talk about over the top!!..we actually played very well imo and on another day could have scored 6 or 7, its a total overreaction to what im saying is just one of those days, come on guys ffs..

Totally agree, it's no coincidence that we play better away from home. It's a rarity to see such a one sided game, their defence deserve credit for keeping us out. Martinez wanted to keep the winning team from last week, had he not done he would have been criticized, but we should be looking at playing two up front, and if that means Kone then so be it, it gives Rom some freedom, instead he is marked out of the game. Now we have a new option, step up niasse.

Evertons home fans are a disgrace at the moment not helping the team one bit shameful and embarrassing.

Couldn't agree more with all above posters. Specially Ed025's explanation of the fans.

Duncansmun thank you for the English lesson. Didn't know exactly what the word 'sanctimonious' means so had to look it up. Its nothing got to do with moral or anything got to do with me really. Basically I was trying to say what above poster's have said only they said it better.

Along with who knows what the future holds. You just have to look at previous managers to see things can change dramatically. Look at the career Alex Ferguson had at Utd. He nearly got sacked towards the beginning of his career at Utd.

Now I'm not saying Martinez will do the same and I'm far from his biggest supporter. But give the lad a chance. Not every little thing that happens is Martinez fault.

Ed why are you shocked by our supporters we have every right to show our feelings this manager should be sacked ASAP do you you think the devils club across the park would put up with this crap I don't think so
4 wins at home is not good enough SIMPLE stop being an apologist for this bufoon the team we have should be closer to the top 4 its a disgrace and I certainly was not fooled by them two league wins he needs to start bollocking the players not bugging them up.

{Ed025's Note - its the extremes we go to padwack, one minute we are world beaters and next we are wigan!..is there no inbetween?, im not an apologist for martinez he is not my ideal manager by any means mate but do you really want us to become like that lot across the park who protest when farts dont smell of roses?..you sound like one of the new breed of supporters (those who only sing when we are winning) that are becoming more and more prevalent in sport today, football will always be peaks and troughs its the nature of the beast, and i make no apology for supporting my team through the bad times as well as the good, dont get me wrong i can moan for england at times but it has to be within reason mate..

like I said above if evertonians concentrated more on cheering there team on than booing and groneing it would go a long way to improveing are team there is a time and place to do it and inside goodison isn't one, its not nice listening to it sitting in the stands so imagine the impact it has on the players, it has to stop and like I said the fans are just as much to blame for home performances than anything, I never heard this much contempt under previous manager and we were for worse performers under him its a complete joke and will put off are young supporters like my 7 year old son we played well but didn't score.

As fans, it seems our problem is we can't really agree whether RM is good, bad or indifferent. It's like two steps forward and three back, just as we seem to be getting our heads together, we implode. Just as we start believing he has changed, or is willing to adapt, we throw away points, again, at home. I agree that on another day we could have been 3 or 4 up but it has happened too many times this season, costing us too many points, to just be another bad day at the office.
Looking at yesterdays game, we dominated and created plenty of chances but, out of the 30+ made, only 5 or 6 were on target. That is as much down to the players as it is the manager. I thought, at times, we just passed the ball for the sake of it, too many sideways balls rather than going for goal. Again, it's not the first time this has happened this season is it? The fans have a right to be a bit restless at times.
Should they have booed the substitution? Lennon was having a great game so, for me, it was letting the manager know his decision was wrong. Doesn't make it right but it happens every home game. I'm more aggrieved when the fans single out one player and give him sarcastic applause, as this can directly affect their confidence. Whatever happens between now and May, there is no escaping the fact that we have underachieved two seasons on the bounce. The manager, players and us fans have to take a fair share of the blame, we win lose or draw together.

{Ed025's Note - good post that spud..

I agree spud, but I stood and applauded lennons performance I was the only fan who did were I was sitting and I was shocked to hear the boos if fans followed what I did surly that would have a better affect, I personally think it affected Geri's performance and the other subs to, it was wrong and only has a negative affect all over the ground.

agree wid most of the above but it helps if u give the crowd something to shout about at home even if it means making better substitutions kone and osman were going to bring a negative attitude from the fans instantly when mirallas was on the bench and bringing lennon off couldn't believe that 1.

I know a mate who will go to every home games, with his two lads and then is skint the rest of the week, don't you think he has the right to boo? people say we are unlucky? we can't be unlucky every week, it was the subs coming on that was booed, not at the players at that idiot RM, remember lads loyalty can be blind?

10.) 14 Feb 2016
14 Feb 2016 15:34:20
people are banging on about mirallas what has he ever brought to the team coming off the bench, nothing that's what, the lad thinks off himself and nothing else that's why he ain't getting a game he's also injury prone yes he has a goal thret and can take people on but mostly finds blind allyways he's a waste of talent and he won't ever change his attitude stinks at end of the day we was never going to score no matter how long we would of played I lost count of the amount of times they blocked or got bodies in the way we could learn a little from them bring that to the field and we will win a lot of games mix it with are playing style.

Fans have got the right to show their discontent when the manager brings on the 2 least ineffective subs onto the pitch and takes off the man of the match. Don't know why some people on here give kev such a hard time he's one of our best players, anyone would get a bit frustrated watching osman and kone getting on ahead of them.
