I'm pretty sure allardyce is going, dad was speaking to Sammy Lee on Friday, they're old friends and he said as much. Think it will be Silva coming in. If it is let's all get behind him. Let's face it pretty much anyone will be a risk. Silva oozes class and I think he'll jump in head first and do a great job. If his head gets turned in a season or two then it will only mean he's doing a good job so will be beneficial to us.

1.) 14 May 2018 10:27:50
I don’t doubt you, but I’d be disappointed if club staff spoke about such matters - even to close friends - unless it was in the strictest confidence and certainly not before anything was officially announced.
Anyway, it’s pretty much an open secret - it’s just taking far too long for the club to get everything signed, sealed and delivered.

2.) 14 May 2018 11:15:13
He doesn't know for certain himself, he just said the vibe they're getting is that they're both going to be off.
Hopefully any day now!

3.) 14 May 2018 11:19:22
It's not been 24 hours since the last game. No rush.

4.) 14 May 2018 11:51:47
I think there is a rush, as we need the new management structure in place to make sure the pre-season is effective and the transfer window trading isn’t rushed at the last moment.

5.) 14 May 2018 11:59:05
Every hour that passes with Sam in charge is a wasted one.

6.) 14 May 2018 13:45:30
OllBlue1878: completely agree.

7.) 14 May 2018 15:15:17
So rush everything again and hope the chips fall in a good way this time? Or take zero notice of fans and do their job?

8.) 14 May 2018 15:24:23
The club has had months to be making arrangements, let alone enquiries, for the required changes. If they’re not fully prepared, then imho they’ve been derelict in their duty. If they haven’t been preparing - and have left themselves in a knee-jerk rushed situation - then dame on them.

9.) 14 May 2018 16:44:59
No rush I been waiting from the first day the idiot came, we need one now, he has to get his feet under the table, and sort the NEW squad out, and the back-room staff, it will soon be September.

10.) 14 May 2018 17:32:43
So let get me this straight. On one hand, the coach we've apparently been offering jobs to, whilst still working at another club possibly? Isn't right for the job because they've failed due diligence (likely because they still have a job to do) ?

And we want B.s. out before anyone has signed a contract?

And the new coach (Whoever) needs to get his feet under the table now? To sort the squad out?
The squad that's just finished for the summer? Or the new squad? Is 5his the squad the new coach puts together or is this the DOF job? Whoever that is?

Ok all makes sense. Rush it again upstairs!

11.) 14 May 2018 18:55:23
When FM appointed SA he knew it was for a temporary period. If in that time he has approached and agreed contractual terms with his chosen team, then cometh the hour it should all slip into place. If not then he is obviously not the business man we think he is. If he has already agreed appointments then those appointments themselves will be working in the background looking at the personnel they do or don't require before the start of the season (coaching and playing staff) . Surely FM will not let another RK scenario happen. I would not be surprised that when SA goes the new team is announced before the world cup starts.

12.) 14 May 2018 20:25:51
Nick, this is Everton. When have you known us do anything ahead of schedule?

13.) 14 May 2018 21:38:35
Yeah well probably why we are not in the top 6 and winning silverware. Those teams do plan ahead. Silly me to think we could as well :-)

14.) 15 May 2018 00:09:47
NickB57: exactly - we’re not advocating rushed panicky knee-jerk reactions; we want the club to have been carefully planning for a while and now carrying out these plans swiftly and effectively.

28 Feb 2018 23:46:57
With a World Cup coming up, I think it would be better to have a new manager either in place or lined up so that he can start identifying targets. City did it with Pep. It might undermine the latest manager but let's face it, no one seems to be playing for him now anyway.

We need every advantage we can get and if we have to wait til mid June to decide, we will have no time to identify targets that the actual manager wants and he will be at a disadvantage. Then the pressure mounts again, the fans get frustrated and the new manager is not given a fair shot.

OllBlue1878

1.) 01 Mar 2018 08:17:43
Couldn’t agree more, I was saying this to my in laws last night. Signing people in World Cup summer is harder plus the new manager won’t get to meet up with his squad until they all arrive back which is often later than usual.

{Ed025's Note - thats right bb..

2.) 01 Mar 2018 09:42:49
This is a bad summer to be getting an overhaul done. Needs must and some patience will be required.

3.) 01 Mar 2018 14:11:37
It's going to be hectic to say the least. We can only hope the powers that be have their sensible heads on and they get things done in a manner befitting a club like Everton instead of something resembling a Catty-On film.

4.) 02 Mar 2018 04:07:44
I gave myself a thumbs down there as I just noticed my glaring typo. Meant Carry-On not Catty-On DOH! 🤣😜.

5.) 02 Mar 2018 06:48:07
Ooh matron.

6.) 04 Mar 2018 00:16:24
personally i don't think we need a lot of signings choice of manager is more important clearly need to work on def another mid and st.

27 Nov 2017 23:46:01
Fonsceca interviewed now according to SSN, after settling for Sam earlier I'd be delighted if I wake up tomorrow with Fonseca in charge.

OllBlue1878

1.) 28 Nov 2017 07:38:01
wake up mate and welcome big sam fonsecca epl experience u must be joking.

04 Nov 2017 01:04:45
I've heard compensation package with Burnley has been agreed for Dyche. Whoever it is I'll be behind 100%, new manager deserves a clean slate and full support.

OllBlue1878

1.) 04 Nov 2017 15:26:31
Maybe he's just what we need, he's know to get the best out of what he's got, any top manager will probably want another 150m to strengthen the team which I doubt we'll get. I know our signings aren't bad as they've performed at other clubs so if he can get them playing perhaps we'll have a really strong team. If he can get us safe and playing well then maybe we can have a good crack at the FA Cup this season.

2.) 04 Nov 2017 19:50:13
i will be happy with dyche to be honest my only concern is the step up to a club that expects to challenge top 4 to win the league to win cups that's a massive ask to get us back to were we belong.

3.) 06 Nov 2017 13:02:26
Don't think he'll be expected to challenge the top 4 straight away given where we are now. Would imagine he would have to put a three year plan on paper and present that, then would be measured against progress milestones within that.

24 May 2017 02:58:04
I think we need to get a grip on things, ' an announcement on barkleys future will be made Monday '. 'Everton will no longer make an an announcement on Monday '. Heard nothing today. We're becoming a laughing stock. If we wanna become a top respected side again who are going to attract decent players we need the club to be run properly, I've got a bad feeling that things aren't running smoothly behind the scenes.

OllBlue1878

1.) 24 May 2017 06:17:40
so let me get this right we sign new multi million sponsorship deals we seem to be on the up and yet because we don't release a statement regarding Barkley we are a laughing stock and things aren't running smoothly Jesus behave will ya.

2.) 24 May 2017 07:14:34
For goodness sake-please try to keep some sort of perspective on these events! I think Everton FC are a long long way from "becoming a laughingstock" . On the contrary, as has already been said, we tend to be seen as a well run club which generally does the right thing and is making genuine progress. None of us know what is happening with Ross Barkley-and that's probably just how it needs to be!

3.) 24 May 2017 08:26:11
Some blues just like to criticise the club whatever they do. You not think Barkley and his agent may have something to do with this?
You really expect it to be like TF deadline day as the clock ticks down to 'right he's sold'

This should be the most exciting summer we have had in many years. Put the negativity away and try to enjoy it.

4.) 24 May 2017 08:55:14
Get a grip, GuernseyBlue.

5.) 24 May 2017 09:33:20
Sorry boys. That post was put up after a good few pints. Just want this rom and ross situation sorted so we can move on with or without them.

6.) 24 May 2017 09:53:15
😂😂😂😂 beer and football 2 things that bring our inner deepest passion out we have all been there including me tonight as my kopite mate is coming around to watch the final which should be fun as after 10 or so beers we like to let's just say have a lively conversation about just how deluded they are.

7.) 24 May 2017 09:53:55
To be fair if you read what Koeman actually said vs what the media reported they are two completely different things.

He said that he was meeting with the board on Monday and that a statement would be made. He said the meeting was happening on Monday, not that a statement would be made on Monday.

8.) 24 May 2017 12:29:00
Sorry I agree with Olleblue but not suprised at you all defending the club it's like as if you are ridiculed if you say anything negative .
I posted something similar on Everton Banter
Sorry but we are extremely slow at making any statements we dither we make transfers at the last minute that go wrong .
As for Barclay EFC should have given him his marching orders 5 pm on Sunday night no excuses he should have signed months ago
He will find as I am now hearing he has lost sympathy with nearly all supporters.

9.) 24 May 2017 13:09:04
The only reason to make a statement would be to say he's signed the contract. If he hasn't then releasing a statement to confirm that would drastically reduce what we'd get for him because potential suitors would know that he wants out and we want him out.

Based on that, if we did make a statement to say he hasn't signed a contract and we're selling him, I'd say that would make us a massive laughing stock.

Can't understand why people are so concerned about what happens with him. I'd rather have £25m in the bank to spend on a player who turns quicker than the QE2 anyway. Even if he does stay I reckon we'll bring in someone better and more consistent anyway so he wouldn't be first choice. I can't spend another season hoping we'll finally see the player that we all think is in there, but getting frustrated.

10.) 24 May 2017 14:30:00
The club are in no position to give him his marching orders. If he wants to stay there is nothing the club can do about it. Besides that, whether he stays or not, we will be finding replacements this summer.

11.) 24 May 2017 22:07:05
Ha ha it's not really defending the club trebor more just repeating exactly what the transcript said and not what the papers wrote.

Gotta agree with Toffee Ace too. Releasing a statement saying that we are selling him would probably not be wise.

Just back from the game boys and it was the first time I've been excited on the way to a game for years even though I was hungover to death. Love Richarlison, love Marco, love gana, love the fckin lot of them. Got a good feeling about this season lads!

OllBlue1878

1.) 18 Aug 2018 18:19:07
Fair play OB enjoy mate we are in for something special COYB.

2.) 18 Aug 2018 20:39:32
Good win today same team as last year plus Richarlison. Look a completely different team must be Silva tactics . I believed we will get in the top 5 when the new players are introduced COYB.

14 Aug 2018 11:58:01
Usmanov has said he would be open to investing in Everton.

11 Aug 2018 20:03:06
Really happy with the performance today, especially with ten men and none of the brand new signings in.
Had 3-1 Richarlison at 230-1 thought so gutted about that aspect.

OllBlue1878

1.) 11 Aug 2018 20:14:31
Really, really optimistic. loved the passion today.

2.) 11 Aug 2018 20:49:01
Jcl mate I've never been happier with a point, we've signed players we need who fit into a system. Was great seeing Marco soaking on the touchline guiding the team. Richarlison looked class, young hungry with plenty of skill to back it up. I know its only early days but we look like were going to go head to head with whoever we play. Hopefully we've finally lost that inferiority complex that we've had for so long.

{Ed025's Note - im with you there oll..

3.) 11 Aug 2018 21:31:33
Blue, it felt like we had 3 more gears! Can't wait to see what the squad can do. Coyb!

Cheers ed.
And yeah agree with that NBTB, couldn't see Moshiri would want to relinquish control after the great work he's done. Unless that's been the plan all along as you say.
Maybe he will take control of a foreign club and also invest a wee bit into Everton.

It would be nice to know though ed if you could shed any light?

OllBlue1878

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of Usmanov looking to buy in to Everton (which is very much Moshiri's project) nor am I aware of him making any approach to Newcastle at this time. I am aware that he will look to take overall control of a club when the time is right.}

Would be delighted with those two mate.
If Bernard signs as well that would be a fantastic window.
Not going to let myself get excited by any of them til I see them in the shirt though.

Yeah mate there definitely seems to have been a plan this time, seems like we've got a well balanced squad. There's no guarantee all the new signings will be suited to the prem, but I've got a feeling they will. Got to take my hat off to Farhad, Brands, Silva and everyone else involved in the best transfer window we've ever had.
