NOTICE TO JOHN STONES and LUKAKU'S AGENT!
Manchester City team today cost over £225m to assemble. Leicester City team today cost £22.4m. How hugely refreshing to hear Jamie Vardy state, after signing a new Contract which will keep him at Leicester until 2019 "there is something very special happening at this Club and I really want to be part of it. I have never known spirit amongst the players like it"! What a brilliant attitude, when you consider that Vardy could have had his pick from most of the so-called "big clubs" to sign for. The grass isn't always greener. its just the money piles that are bigger. I have been watching Everton for about 55years now and I have been fortunate to see a number of potentially brilliant teams being nurtured by various Managers over many years, some which have reached their full potential and have been successful. some not so successful. I have seen quite a few brilliant players pull on the famous Royal Blue Jersey, and I do believe that we could possibly be on the verge of seeing the rise of another potentially, brilliant young team. IF THEY STAY TOGETHER? Martinez has the nucleus of a very very good team in the making, but the likes of John Stones should understand that Football works in Era's. and is not totally dictated by wealth, although having wealthy owners obviously helps in some cases. but not all. Lukaku, Stones, Barkley, Coleman, McCarthy, Funes Mori and Delafeu, should realise that they alone can actually mould their own futures and become very successful here at Everton! They can win Silverware at Everton, by staying together earning the wages they are being paid now by Everton and not be swayed by the "sign for us, we'll treble your wages" overtures from the likes of Man City, Chelsea and Man Utd. Martinez should sit them down and make them watch the Cup Winners Cup Winning Team which Howard Kendall built. watch and learn and then be successful. Lukaku shouldn't be scoring the goals he is scoring at the moment to advertise his skills for his agent to show the owners of PSG and Real Madrid. he should be scoring them to help take Everton to higher levels so that we can then compete against those sides regularly in European Competitions. preferably the Champions League! Am I dreaming. or just plain crazy. well if Leicester City have these aspirations. SO SHOULD EVERTON FC.

{Ed003's Note - Naive maybe gv, that's no put down just a sad reflection of where the 'game' is now,great post by the way.}

John stones' head has gone. He in his head thinks he will go backwards if he stays at Everton. I would be very surprised if he stays, I don't think he is leaving for money or to play with better players, he wants to go because enough people have told him he should go.

Chelsea won't have champions league, Liverpool is obviously a no, Spurs might get him although not sure Levy would stump up the cash, guardiola may fancy him but he likes centre halves to be dogged (puyol, pique, mascherano) . I think it's Manchester United and Jose that will turn his head, and they don't mind spending a few quid.

Stones to United, let him go, £55m and let's take stock.
Jack.

As good a post as I've ever read on here golden vision! Good example in Leicester. So far this season they are showing that it can be done.

Jakalakawaka how does anyone never mind you know what's in Stones head?
You could be right but that's just guessing. Who knows what will happen before the end of the season. An awful lot can happen in football over 2 weeks never mind 3 months.

You may be right jaka but I for one hope Stones spends his entire career with Everton.
