So with Davey out of the champions league & probably for some time to come. what now for Rooney? He supposedly joined a club that was consistently playing at the highest level against the best teams? Lol :-D . no of course, money talks doesn't it £300k a week? I think Manchester United could end up becoming the next Leeds utd if they don't curb they're spending on players & wages - there time is up for me!! Oh the irony, would bring a smile wider than the Mersey to see us grab that 4th place instead of dour Davey & money grabbing Rooney! C.o.y.b!!

Wayne looked sluggish yesterday, I think he flatters to deceive quite often and is not the same player he was 5 years ago. He seems to be struggling psychologically and does not benefit from being the main man. I think he would benefit hugely from a transfer but unfortunately has been ill advised and now will rot and MUFC until he retires. Sad really. He will not be a pundit given the grey matter situation so I should imagine he slips into obscurity.

Does anyone remember the Rooney who would confidently hit volleys from 25-30 yards frequently or who could beat a man? he has no pace, no purpose and run out of ideas. I think he lack the temperament to be deep lying playmaker and whilst I once held hope he may again play for EFC I know wouldn't want him reddening our spreadsheets for all the tea in Taiwan

I totally disagree with you I hate the way he left us but come on mate you don't want him on our spread sheet if Rooney was put up for sale now all the top clubs would be bidding for him and he used to score 25/30 yard vollys did you see the 45 yard half volly he scored a few weeks back.
If we could afford him now I would take him in a flash

As you say Shakey IF we could afford him. That ship has sailed. His wages at UTD are out of our league and he is a no-starter from here on. A great player when he fist played for us but his ego and persona is is now in the past.
Once a blue always a blue? I don't think so anymore. Wayne won't be coming back to us. Too much baggage even in the latter years of his career and would he even be good enough?

Rooney was at his best I think when he was around 20, he used to go past poeple for fun where as today he struggles to beat a man at all, definitely still a really good player but just a case of matured a lot earlier than most, never really sets the world alight on the big stage at least not like he did in 04 in the euros
