Wish Moyes was given 30m to spend every season. Let's be honest he has had **** all from everton and had to juggle the squad that he has painfully brought to us fans, IMO I wish we could of (Everton) given him everything. Imagine Moyes with no limits. I wish we had the money like the top 4 get, we would be a great football club to watch if Moyes had the money, and you know what top 4 managers would be s*** scared of moyes. I wish

I agree totally! would love to see moyes with funds! My kopie friends seem to think moyes wouldn't know what to do with a load of cash to spend? I personaly think that because moyes has very little to spend he tends to monitor players a lot more because he has to make every penny count on a budget! and work out if the player will fit in to the squad? you only have to look at andy carrol for not fitting in to a squad! the player must fit your teams style of play! any one else think this? discuss!

Moyes is awful with big funds. Beattie, Bilyaletdinov, Kroldrup.

DM has brought in some gems at comparatively low fees (Cahill and Jagielka for example) and got good service from players before making a profit on them (Arteta) or getting good money for players not progressing (Rodwell).
However, in one area - centre forwards - his record is not so good. We've spent reasonable money on a pretty long list of potential goal-scorers, but how many have lasted - even those who showed initial promise? And our only home-grown forward of any real quality during the last ten years - Wayne Rooney - had to be transferred in order to stave of the financial collapse of our club.
I'd love to have seen DM able to spend £20m-to-£30m on improving the squad/team each season of late, but - apart, maybe, from Fellaini at £15m - I'd suggest that DM's success has been picking gems in the lower tiers or overseas for fees in the low millions.

Beattie had a excellent track record before joining, as did Bilyaletdinov who actually had a very impressive first season. Kroldrup I'll give you.

James Beattie £6million - Jan. 2005
Per Koldrup, £5million - Aug. 2005
Diniyar Bilyaletdinov £8.9million - Aug. 2009
That's not even £20million in 4 and half years, hardly say its big money. A lot of which was recouped when these 3 players were sold.

Beattie, Bilyaletdinov, Kroldrup- all 7 figure sums. Hardly earth shattering fees. How many 8 figure fees we have payed out? Yakubu, Fellaini, erm, that's it, is it not?
