Any truth to this Ed? I know you said the other day about him in negotiations with another team so this could be the end of our interest.

Malcom is due for a medical with Zenit St Petersburg on Friday according to various rumours. I think we've left it too late for this one which is shame as I would like to have had him. I don't see the appeal of the Russian league in all due respect compared to the Premier League.

Friday is plenty of time to highjack the deal. He jumped ship at Roma last season with hours to spare (I know not the best quality to have in a potentially new signing, haha)

Zenit is also a top team in their league and have the high wage billto persuade players into going there. But on the other hand, they have a highly volatile fan base and especially to players who are Caucasian. So there is a chance that he changes his mind when he travels there.
