I'm going to make a few enquiries today to see what construction companies know about the new stadium, as it will be put out to tender.

My company could and most probably go for it, don't know if they will get it tho.

Will keep you informed.

Pb; I do not think they even have a stage c design yet. So no construction company will be tendering yet. The architect and consultants will need to do a design first.

Zulu,

The tenders will be already out if true. The design package to get the job takes time and money.
Still waiting on a few people I contacted from Laing orourkes and sir Robert McAlpine, I am guessing here but mcalpines do most of the stadiums in the uk.

Pb you're off your rocker if you think it has gone out to tender to a construction contractor. Has a site even been decided? There is no way anytime will have been spent (and therefore money) with out knowing the location. First the architect will have to submit a design (which they can't do until they know the location) and have it signed off, Utility upgrades will have to be completed (designed, built and commissioned) before it even goes out to an engineering consultancy to design and then to a contractor. I have probably missed out many stages in the process but these things take months even years after a location has been decided not a few weeks. I know you're only trying to be positive.

If it is to be built it will already have been designed. Nothing will be released to public as tenders won't go out. As I said design packages to get the tender will be in place as we speak. Mayor is saying 2019. Olympic stadium took over 4 years, and design was done two years before that.
What you have heard is what is been allowed to be put out there as they mayor said he can only give certain details.

I can well imagine PB being on the right track.
I work for a shipping company and with regard to contracts there is such a thing as a 'letter of intent'.
I'm sure they must have similar in the building industry.

Aye Aye Captain.
