Read into this as much as you want, but a mate of a mate works at Finch Farm with the u21s and apparently Mark Hughes has been at finch farm for 2 days. I was asking me mate today what he thought of the rumour a linking him and he told me what his mate told him. I hope it's not true (hoping if we do sack Martinez we get someone like Pelligrini) and I find it hard to believe as if he's been at Everton it would have been mentioned about him not taking training at stoke, I'm only passing on what I've been told.

if you take a look at the big money buys Pellegrini bought for city, mangala etc. he has wasted a lot of money on poor players, we can't afford to do that.

He must mean the Mark Hughes who was a youth player at Everton and who currently plays for Accrington Stanley. Perhaps he was visiting old pals. There's no way that the current Stoke City manager would be spending time at Finch Farm.

wouldn Mark Hughes be training Stoke for the weekend? surely if he wasnt there, then the press would have found that out, can't believe that rumour.

Dont want to offend Stoke fans (How can I when they're higher than us) and while I think it would be a safe option, I think we could be far more ambitious in our potential new manager.

How adventurous can we be? We're all second guessing how much there is to spend let's face it £50 would be classed as a 'war chest' at Everton. With this so called 'best team' they've shown a distinct lack of skill, fittness, heart well the list goes on if I was the new manager i'd be looking at a clear out 1-11 plus. Then unfortunately there's the fans the expectation to be a champions league team you have to work to get there as well as Leicester have been this season without major investment they will really struggle next season with the added pressure, you have to build a team over time don't get me wrong the current manager has had team and hasn't done this but I'm expecting a few rough years ahead who ever is the manager.
