Ed02, you know a lot about the future of football, re european breakaway league. am I right to say that the champions league format was a precursor for the league you are talking about?
I heard at the time that it was created to gauge the fans reaction to a future breakaway league .

{Ed002's Note - Not quite. The CL is a UEFA tournament and the sides discussing the change want to take responsibility back from UEFA. UEFA are now coming up with alternate plans themselves.}

So it's pretty much inevitable that the leagues will progress into a new European format? If so how much will it affect the teams that are left behind? I assume the majority of income/ revenue will centre around the new league?
