Ed, wonder if you could shed some light on the Lukaku saga. Am I right in thinking, if he was sold this summer or even next, we would stand to pocket an extra £5-10 million out of it. But, as it seems to be reported at the moment, with him going in a 2 year loan, would we be able to acquire anything out of this, as technically he hasn't been sold, and presumably any sale would be outside the next 2 transfer years?

{Ed002's Note - The clause relates to contract extention or sale. Obvious if he were simply loaned it would not be of any relevance.}

Even if it's a loan with a view to purchase and go along with the purchase?

{Ed002's Note - Why is it so difficult to understand?}

Because anyone could then add a sell on fee clause to lower the initial price, then agree to sell, but only after a loan period, which the club makes money on, this saving a sell on fee. Prime example, if Man Utd are loaning Lukaku for 9m for 2 years then selling after the 2 years for 53m (in theory getting 62m) we get nothing. Doesn't sit right with me to be honest.
