jeez just been on the others page for first time in a while didn't realise i had upset smokey so much by coaching kids and having the audacity to have an opinion haha. yes, modern coaching is to play out from the back 1 2s as u say, but if i've got a player who is brilliant in the air, why wouldn't i tell the wingers to whip balls in to the box for him?

say my forward has a poor first touch but a great head you would still play it into his feet just as to not hold back english football? why follow like sheep? play to your strengths is the basis of a good team that's not just football but any team in general.

As long as you try to improve the players ability in training then playing to their strengths as a team in matches is the best way forward in my book. I've never seen a team of kids really pleased about the way they lost a match even when they played really well and didn't deserve to loose.

Why not whipping balls in? because they then become 50-50 balls. and we don't have a player who is brilliant in the air, there's none so blind, perhaps all this has become too complicated for you.

so calvert lewin isn't good in the air? my opinion is DCL would score more if decent service was provided and yes in my opinion if we put balls in the box from wide positions then he will score headers, my opinion that's all mate. we're all blues we all have opinions no ones is more valid than the next fellas.

exactly sa, am not saying hoof balls to him constant am saying Dcl has a good head so why not utilize it more, y bang balls into his feet knowing he more than likely won't turn beat a man and score? is that really a drastic suggestion?

We spent most of the game either floating balls in, which Maguire gobbled up, didn't get past the first man or overhit. When the little fella came on and made his way to the right first thing he did was whip a coupe in at knee height but our lot having spent the whole game looking up into the sky were still on their heels. But and importantly, Tosun, who doesn't get in much of a sniff now a days (personal opinion we should persevere) once fed, got in the only two good chances since Kenny in the first half hit the outside of the post. Lesson play to your strengths.

i agree on tosun mate he is our most natural goalscorer and should be given a run of games, its hard to not mate the squad one week then get thrown on with 20 to go be expected to score. given a run of games he would get goals definitely you don't lose goalscoring ability that quickly.

DCL has 8 premier league goals 5 of which are headers i'd say heading is one of his strengths.
