Just read on BBC website that we haven't had a shot on target in January. Allardyce solution? Become more boring.

Yes blame Allergy for the fact of us signing a load of non creative players over the last 4 seasons. Blame him for trying different formations. Blame him for looking like little schoolboys out on the pitch. Blame him for the first 10 games before he arrived and we performed in exactly the same manner. Blame him for the collapse of Carillion. Brext. and any more you can think of because it all makes sense.

Can blame him for starting with 2 defensive midfielders constantly, can blame him for not playing 2 up top, can blame him for not using your best number 10 in the number 10 role, can blame him for not playing actual wingers on the wing, other than that you have a point Degsy.

I have to agree with the number 10 comment. Which then of course would allow the left winger to be an actual winger. no arguments from me on that one. As for 2 defensive midfielders. Martinez started it with McCarthy and Barry. (although Barry did venture forwards) . Scneids and Gueye very rarely get forwards and both are terrible at getting up to the oppos box. We look better with McCarthy in. But hey your points about number 10 and 2 defensive midfielders does not explain the dross football being served up nor the lack of a shot on target in 5 consecutive games. In my humble opinion (which Swan never ever agrees with whatever I say) it is down to poor players in the main. It equals the worst ever Premier League run. If that's down to a bit of positional tactics or one or two players I may as well give up now.
