We've all talked about balance of the squad and who we need to sign up front to bring that balance. We last might showed we've already got it there.

As soon as we had Lookman on it moved Sig to his no10 plus we had bolaisi on the left. With three players in a natural position up front we looked a totally different team.

Lookman has to start. He is our best attacking threat on the wings until yannick is back up to speed. I've no idea why he doesn't but surely now we need to start thinking about how we get the ball to Tosun. what's the use in spending 27mil on a striker if there's no service to him?

Very good point. But we are not the coaching staff or Manager. There has to be more to it. In true life the most simple solution is the hardest to come by.

One thing for sure is. Sigurdsson in the no 10 role with Mcarthy and Ghana sat in behin with two wide men whom work hard both ways looks our most effective unit. For me while Rooney he is a starter from the bench if all those are fit.

That last 30 mins was a huge one for our way forward along with the new striker to come in to. Feeling positive in the jaws of defeat.

Agree Blue John but we ideally need another winger preferably with pace, unless Coleman moves up the wing. Lookman can't play all season he'll not last.
Siggy definitely has to be our number 10 but I would like Sandro and/ or Klassen given a chance at number 10 as rotation for siggy maybe even Vlasic. Rooney further back alongside Gana or Macarthy. With another ball carrying powerful midfielder to rotate with him/ replace him.

Most importantly, in the summer, our board need to understand we need replacements in for Rooney, Williams, jagielka and Baines who, have only 1 or 2 seasons left at best. These replacements can't be kids (we've got enough already) but players in the 24 - 28 range. This has to happen or we will be scrambling around like we are now in a season or two and never have a chance to challenge the top 6.

{Ed002's Note - Someone like Arda Turan perhaps?}

BJU, that’s a great point there mate. All I was thinking last night every time Bolasie put a cross in was I’d love to see what Tosun would do with that kind of service.

Hmmm Turan. As usual Ed to the point. Probably went way over some heads.

Ed002 - forgive me if you’ve already answered this question, but why all of a sudden the Arda Turan link? Why would his agent (if true) specifically offer his services to Everton, amongst other selected clubs? Do his previous club - in Atletico - no longer value him enough to take him back? He obviously still has the ability which earned him the move to Barcelona originally. Or does his original move stink of ‘Judas’ and ‘what goes around comes around’? I can’t quite understand why clubs aren’t nipping at their heels for an unused player with such quality, as opposed to him being ‘offered’.

{Ed002's Note - I don’t really understand the question. It is the same as any other transfer and he has been offered to clubs like Chicago and Everton. It is nothing to do with Atlético and I don’t understand why you think it should be.

There would be a massive question mark as to whether he would suit the premiership. Very tricky and good with the ball at his feet but that's in Spain where you get quite more time on the ball, couple that with his wages which i imagine are high, would he be a good addition for us?
I am sure he would improve our squad but by how much and at what cost is the big question. If we get the Atletico Titan then why not. If it's the Barcelona one then I'm not that bothered.
