Hello Blues,

Old user with a new profile (forgot my old details, it's been so long since my last post! )

The only thing keeping my spirits high at the moment is the glorious weather conditions on holiday in Majorca.

I'm not even looking for a win today, just hoping to see that the current crop of Blues show some passion, love and fight for the club we have valued since we were little sproggies.

That alone will be enough to convince me that we have what it takes to meddle with the best there is. There's no doubting the quality we have, we just need to find that balance. Like Koeman said - the passion must be there before ability.

There are some potential dark times ahead, but I know we can pull away from it. January and a new striker cannot come quick enough.

Dreaming of an Oumar brace today.

Come on you Blues, optimism is key.

We’re not even 7th now. Why are people so sure this is an inevitability?

If we somehow finish 7th, it represents a very very poor showing from PL teams outside of the top 6. The gap is only stretching year by year.

SA will not reduce that gap in his contracted 18 months in charge. He wouldn’t reduce the gap if he were 18 years in charge.

Ed002 - forgive me if you’ve already answered this question, but why all of a sudden the Arda Turan link? Why would his agent (if true) specifically offer his services to Everton, amongst other selected clubs? Do his previous club - in Atletico - no longer value him enough to take him back? He obviously still has the ability which earned him the move to Barcelona originally. Or does his original move stink of ‘Judas’ and ‘what goes around comes around’? I can’t quite understand why clubs aren’t nipping at their heels for an unused player with such quality, as opposed to him being ‘offered’.

{Ed002's Note - I don’t really understand the question. It is the same as any other transfer and he has been offered to clubs like Chicago and Everton. It is nothing to do with Atlético and I don’t understand why you think it should be.

Coleman Jagielka Watson Baines

Manuel Fernandes Cahill Arteta Pienaar

Lukaku Rooney

I wish I could utilise Gravesen, the most passionate and determined midfielder I have ever seen for Everton, but sadly there have been too many quality players in that position that beat him to the line.

People will also question my use of Manny. In the short time he was at the club, particularly his first loan stint (Arsenal at home anyone? ) , I have never seen a player ignite the crowd the way he did. Incredible technician with a football at his feet.

Advice from who, Ed002? How would something like that work as opposed to decisions being made internally from the Club?

Have a Niasse Day

{Ed002's Note - there are plenty of advisors and in some cases agents who broker such deals. Other clubs use third parties to advise owners, some have directors of Football knowledgable of all aspects of the game. Few have businessmen using the lucky dip approach that Everton has.}
