Although today was poor, I think RK will be smarting too, and he will learn from today's performance. The encouraging thing for me is that for 1st half there did not seem to be a great deal to separate the two sides ( at least that's how it looked from my family enclosure seat) . Neither side looked great but after the second goal spurs held a firm grip. back to my original point. it looked even Steven until 2-0. Not singling out individual performances, I think there is quality in the squad, and RK needs to find the winning formula. I actually think it needs jags involved and not trying to squash all midfielders into the same starting 11. Chins up for next game!

From where I sit Ellis. which is low down in family enclosure. I'd say that before the first goal. it looked like a scrappy game and neither team stood out. although I would say we were out muscled by your back 4.but really spurs never did anything special. After the first goal u improved. and then after the second goal that was it. but u were not that impressive from my seat until then. What I would say about Everton is that klaasen looked light weight, sigurdson on left wing was a waste, and we had no real creative threat or pace in our side to threaten u. but as I said first half. wasn't that great from either side. second half different story. spurs dominant. my original post wasn't about how good spurs were. about my assessment of Everton's squad. Bare in mind. after I've seen MoTD. I'll have afresh perspective. And my change my opinion.

Fair enough. From where i was watching and it was pretty even until about 20mins gone and then spurs were totally dominant. Was a lucky first goal but we should of been ahead by then anyway. What i noticed about you was your lack of pace which is still a weakness of spurs in the attacking end of our team. Could take a while for you to get used to playing without Lukaku aswell.

Ellis differences aside. absolutely spot on on lack of pace. coupled with a lack of power (now lukaku gone) Everton are going to have to look at how we can start to dominate games. lots of negatives right now but I think there is talent in the squad, and we'll get there. Njoy season!
