I've been looking at people's posts about our manager situation and I had my say the other day and most people disagreed and that's fine. But I keep seeing people say we need Koeman, we need De Boer. These two guys are contracted to well run clubs and would cost a good amount of money to release from them contracts if they would want to leave which is no gimme. The best chance we will get is a high profile manager out of work or like I said take a chance on manager like Eddie Howe and hope he is the next 'special one'.

True, but we would happily do that for a player so why not a manager. If it costs a few million then so be it. Just make sure he's the right man.

One of my main gripes about Moyes leaving was that he knowingly let his contract run down so that wealthy Man U had him for squat.

If we want a good manager who is expensive then so be it and give the club he's leaving every penny they deserve. That's just football.

It's a huge gamble on taking a chance on an unproven manager. This might be our only chance to drag ourselves back up to the top table of the EPL.

I'd rather put it in the hands of someone who has been at the top than someone with so little experience.

KingPin, Eddie Howe (not saying I want him) is at this stage of his career, head and shoulders above Martinez, with the investment and TV money coming in, it will all go to waste under Martinez. He (Martinez) may well be a very nice man but as I have posted and others there is absolutely no evidence he has the credentials to manage at this level. He has taken a very good core of players and over nearly three seasons turned this great Club into a bottom half of the Table Team. I am deadly serious when I say that if he is retained he will have us relegated within the next two seasons.

Wigan were relegated and we still paid them compensation to take Martinez. If we would pay that for this failure I am damned sure an ambitious Club would pay far more for a successful Coach/ Manager. The thing is other Clubs and their Chairmen see us as a soft touch. Hopefully all that will change now we have an actual Billionaire majority shareholder and soon to have total say.

{Ed002's Note - Rubbish. The compensation was for his contract.}
