Honestly would anybody have Moyes back right at this moment can't believe I'm going to say this but I would at least we knew where we stood with him I just don't think Martinez lives in the real world.Moyes was always honest about needing investment so we can break into the top 4 Martinez said he could do it without having to spend vast amounts but in reality we all know you need to invest big to get the top 4 in the premier league he lives in his own little bubble. Don't get me wrong I want him to bring success back to Everton but the little faith I have in him left is slowly drifting away it seems he just caught everybody by surprise in his first season.

{Ed025's Note - i have no faith at all stef..

. totally agree with you Stef.as I've said b4, the reality of the situation is that we are skint & have no money to spend & in those financial circumstances Moyes is the only man that can perform miracles by signing good players for little money! Yes, he didn't win anything in his 11 years, but he did get us consistently in the top 6/7 (& champions league on 1 occasion) by spending a lot less money than what Bobby already has on the likes of Lukaku in his short time of control. My guess would be Bill would be quite happy to have him back at a heartbeat too for the obvious reasons & by the end of October this could actually happen if results go the way we expect them too over the coming weeks. People forget that Moyes inherited a squad on the brink of relegation & spent very little to get a squad achieving top 4, 5th, 6th & 7th place every season without fail.on the other hand Martinez inherited the strongest & best Everton squad for many years & we have become a lot worse & appear to be no better than a mid-table team at present! Whether people agree with this or not that is a FACT! Moyes is also more likely to play players in their correct positions, have the team more better prepared for each game & far more motivated & more fired up than what they currently are.& I reckon he would make Lukaku (striker he never had in his time at Everton) a world beater with a more direct style of play playing to his strengths. so yes, if we are to be a club with no funds or investment - then Moyes for me is the only man for the job!

{Ed025's Note - a lot of good points there zacki, the only one i disagree with is having moyes back mate.. :)

If there's a choice between Moyes and Martinez I go for Moyes. If he had the same funds that Martinez has had, I think he would have done better .
Martinez record to date is decline with much the same squad he inherited. Results speak for themselves.

I don't think you should ever go back, although he would be a step up from Martinez (who is really poor in my opinion). The Moyes direct style of play would suit Lukaku, but no doubt he would probably end up being forced onto the wing like Yakubu and Jelavic before him!
