To be honest I couldn't care less about rooney anymore he's a utd player and that's it for me. i'm much more concerned with what's about to unfold in the coming months, which i'm begining to worry about more by the day. This particular game just happens to be the game I've chosen to take my 5 year old to her first game. I just hope she isn't put off by a bunch of idiots booing someone who played a handfull of games for this once great club moons ago. He's nothing but a memory.

Shouldn't our main concern be that our final pre-season game; our only home game; against top European competition; is quickly turning into a circus!?

Do we not think that it might be better to let Lukaku sharpen his touch in front of goal a week before the season starts?

I thought we were meant to be "getting pre-season right" this year.

BT, we play a friendly the day before so it would be silly to make them play 24hrs later. The game is a testimonial, I can't see it being anything more than a fun afternoon giving the big man a day to remember, with plenty of cash generated for his chosen charity. Some first team players will make a cameo, those that played with Duncan like Osman, Hibbert etc. I think this game is just a bonus fixture added to the pre-season schedule
