So far, Vellios has been released, Gueye has left by mutual consent, and Junior has had his loan extended. That's pretty much most of the dead wood (in many fans' eyes) being moved on.
A few of the youngsters will surely get a chance to impress during pre-season and, although they might go out on loan during the season, I don't foresee any of them leaving on permanent deals just yet.
IMHO, that just leaves Duffy - who's now an International player and did do well at Yeovil - still to become an established member of the Everton first team squad. Does anyone see him being above Jagielka, Distin, Stones - even Alcaraz and now Browning, let alone any new signings - in the pecking order for centre back? Surely he's done enough on loan at Yeovil - and for Ireland - to have given RM ample time to form an opinion?

I think shane will b on his way if not now then January and I'd think 2.5 to 3 mil would b a fair enough price.

suppose Duffy may be 4th choice centre back behind Jags, Distan and stones, but Martinez doesn't want to admit defeat in showing trust in Alcaraz. The amount of centre backs we have we could play: Jags and Distan in the league, stones and Duffy in the Europa and Alcaraz and Browning in the domestic cups, thinking about it we could probably do the same with the two centre mids: Barry and McCarthy in the league, Osman and Gibson in the Europa and Green and Kennedy in the domestic cups.
