Martinez 2/7 in the bookies now, GOD HELP US! {Ed025's Note - why?..

1.) 28 May 2013
Why? because he is s. t

2.) 28 May 2013
Because we are heading back to the days of Mike Walker and the like. I am not normally a doom and gloom merchant but this is appaling. rewarding someone who has been relegated with this great job and paying comp. for the priviledge, shocking. {Ed025's Note - your not a doom and gloom and doom merchant??...you seem to making a good fist of it to me!!

3.) 28 May 2013
He is the manager who has just taken his club down. Terrible defensive record. If we are to try and kick on after Moyes we need to be looking at a bigger name. He's a step backwards.

I hope I'm wrong and will back him regardless only time will tell.

4.) 28 May 2013
Because his team can't defend {Ed025's Note - as of now...he does not have a team!..

5.) 28 May 2013
Ed - agree with you, the poster has no foundations to be so dis-respective to his abilities - I don't remember so many supporters objecting to the Moyes signing 11 years ago and Martinez has got great experience and ready for the next step. He's a quality manager and EFC fans should back him!
Barrym {Ed025's Note - well i think so barry..

wigan destroyed us in the fa cup with Martinez tactics, so why would we need gods help? If that's anything to go by, united should be saying god help, because wigan beat us, they went down and now united have Moyes as their manager. its a team that makes winners as well as their manager and the tactics he brings. Does the appointment of Moyes to United now mean utd will finish 6th next season? {Ed025's Note - good point mate..

I also remember Martinez was the one who started the Swansea revolution of playing good attacking football with a win percentage of over 50%. he set the foundations and it stuck at swansea as they did not have to sell their big players. Season upon season, martinez was forced to sell his big players at wigan due to financial problems, hence the reason why his tactics did not stick as so many players shipped in and out of the club. Everton are no longer a selling club and hence would not incur this problem going forward with Martinez appointment. I for one would be happy with this result. CraigHuytonBlue

People keep going on about the football his teams play and how they beat us in the cup, what about the 38 other games in the premiership?

He had a good cup run, but could not motivate his squad week in week out.

People are making excuses for his relegation, saying that its his squads fault that they were relegated. It was exactly the same squad that wiped the floor with us at Goodison.

Cup runs are great, but you need to do it week in week out in the prem, that has got to be the first priority for teams.

The FA cup is a red herring.
