Ed, does Felli's buy out clause kick back in at the end of the season? or was it just for the transfer window just gone? (assuming he is still with us of course) {Ed025's Note - its finished mate..

Massive money going on Rooney coming back to Everton. Even got a bit excited with all the talk of Ferguson hating him and wanting him gone, UTD supposedly subsidising his wages.

Reality Check. Just got it from a family member, he is being sold, but it is definitely not Everton. they are still 100% certain he wants to finish his career at Goodison, but it is a couple of years to soon, for it to be a realistic option.

Martywil

1.) Strange comments from Moyes last night after the England v Scotland game, saying the run out did Rooney some good re fitness YET said he still not fit enough for the next few games etc for Utd and won't even be on the bench?

well doing 70 mins last night in a high tempo game surely means you can do 10mins plus off the bench v's Swansea etc

2.) Basically you can't believe a word Moyes says but he's very careful to keep his comments ambiguous - so he can't be accused of being an outright liar

i.e. "I've said to the chairman we'll see where we are at the end of the season and see what his plans are for taking the club foward. blah blah blah "

Bit shocked at the negativity surrounding this transfer window! We have spent big and secured all our top players with long term contracts, granted contracts are not worth the paper they are written on, however it secures the future value of the player.

We have had a dramatic 12 months of improvement, people need to realise we are a long term project, to expect us to buy another 3 or 4 players yesterday and be challenging for the league is pretty ridiculous. We have improved our squad since last season and will have another great season.

COYB!

All in all we have got to be quite pleased with the deals that have been done during the window. But, considering we let a defender go and the way we are conceding goals, it would not have hurt to bring in another cb. We can take positives from deadline day though. At least nobody was poached at the last minute, giving us no time to replace them. Oh and Cleverley didn't turn up at FF too :)

2.) 02 Sep 2014 11:43:06
It's embarrassing sometimes Marty, we have spent more than ever, secured all our prime assets and not let anyone of importance go, got eto'o on a 2 year contract which will make Lukaku world class with the experience he gets off him, yet there are loads of moaning so called Blues going on and on about where is all the money Kenwright, why have you not bought a CB Martinez and so on.

Sort your heads will ye, none of us have any idea how the finances of a huge club work so stop trying to guess where the money has gon, and before the Bill haters reply, you name me a better owner than him, I know he doesn't have the money but he has the clubs best interests at heart.

On our defensive situation, it will be fine, Jags and Distin don't become crap overnight, relax and enjoy the ride with Bobby

Bring it on you moaning negative always got to knock the club sad miserable sods

Great job last night too Ed25

Degs

3.) 02 Sep 2014 15:24:49
As I said Degs, we have to be, on the whole, happy with the way we have conducted our deals within the window. You're right when you say that our two central defenders don't become bad players overnight. However, it is blatantly obvious that they are not tearing up trees at the moment and that cover is quite sparse. Stones is good cover but Alcaraz has been poor in nearly every appearance so far. An injury to either of the two you mentioned, or their form not picking up sufficiently, leaves us short at the back and that has to be a worry

Good forum, by the way…

Apparently Rhianna is looking to buy a football club in the uk, have a word Bill try and get a couple of hundred mill investment off her, would be good for ticket sales too!

Martywil

{Ed007's Note - If it's anyone it will be Arsenal, they're The Illuminati's club.}

1.) The main problem would be we would always play under her umbrella lol

2.) No way IMO, she's just a bandwagon football supporter, jumping on the hype, and frankly I wouldn't want anyone with her reputation near our club

30 Jul 2014 18:17:32
Think Bill's new nickname could be "the milkman"

There seems to be a whole different ethos around the club since Roberto has arrived!

Assuming we don't flog anyone and we get Lukaku, one or two more signing and we could be onto something here!

These are exciting times for us.

Not posted for a while, Just wanted to eat some humble pie, I was not a fan of Martinez when I heard he was coming.

So far I am massively impressed with the class that the man oozes!. He has been like a breath of fresh air this season, I would have been over the moon with a top 10 finish this season, but Martinez has got me dreaming and believing top 4 is a real possibility.

Been trawling thorough some of the comments from Mancs over the last few hours, am genuinely surprised at the huge number who are saying Martinez was the obvious choice for the UTD job!

Would also like to congratulate the RS on winning the Prem last night. what they only beat Norwich at Home, easily pleased that lot!

Well said mate, like most of us we initially wanted the foreign guy to be our manager, can't even remember his name now lol. Bobby is a class act, Dave Whelan told us all this and he is never wrong ha ha, well not on this occasion anyway

Degsybluenose

2.) Lets not forget Martinez also told liverpool to take their job offer and shove it up their a**. its almost as if he was fated to become our manager

He is the manager who has just taken his club down. Terrible defensive record. If we are to try and kick on after Moyes we need to be looking at a bigger name. He's a step backwards.

I hope I'm wrong and will back him regardless only time will tell.

I have some very close friends who are premiership footballers, agents and ex players. As well as a couple in City of London who broker these types of deals.

Kenwright has already admitted to the city deal falling through.

I have absolutely no interest in making this up I have been a corporate member (1878) lounge for several years spending approx. 17k a season on my table.

Wow someone's bitten! we sold Rooney to UTD and were touted as their feeder club.

We have the smallest number of corporate boxes in the league, the obstructed views are minimal. In order to be financially viable we would need an extra 15-20k supporters per game. let's be real it's not going to happen.
