Ed002 in your opinion what will happen with the appeal and how long will it take?

{Ed002's Note - The amount of time the appeal process takes will depend on how far it is taken in order for Everton to get a satisfactory agreement, or eventaully no agreement. The club has 7 days to notify the intent to appeal, 14 days to lodge the appeal. An independent Appeal Board will be set up and and after that the appeal will be heard and a binding appeal decision provided. The appeal will be completed before the end of the season given the nature of the punishment. Everton will not deny any wrong doing and will base the appeal on the decision of the independent commission being disproportionate. Against Everton is the determination of the punishment was made by an independent commission - not the Premier League. In the favour of Everton is that punishment is seemingly harsh.}

Very comprehensive reply Ed.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

In relation to the decision and the panel, in your opinion based on who was on it and their roles within the FA and in particular the gentleman who was involved in the West Ham Tevez affair was the panel independent? And would Everton have any claims to make regarding the impartiality of the panel?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - The panels are independent of the FA and the Premier League and are impartial.}

Now being reported we could be docked a further 9 points by the likes of Leicester Leeds Burnley etc if they can prove we were negligent, it gets worse and worse.

{Ed002's Note - That is incorrect. It would be the case if Everton entered Administration.}

The way I read it, the report admitted we gained no sporting advantage which for me sounds like enough grounds that we shouldn't be liable for other sides going down. If there is an argument that the timing of the PTS deduction may have impacted Leicester then surely that is a claim to make against the PL not Everton? Or have I got that all wrong?

{Ed002's Note - Absolutely, you have it wrong.}

It is extremely unlikely that any third party could be successful in bringing a claim against Everton, and, even in that unlikely event, it would take years to go through the courts, so any talk of this driving the club into administration, is just the media generating a none story.
