Hi Ed can you shed any light on the story that R K is keen to get Virgil from Southampton, seems a long shot to me especially if the big boys are after him Cheers GuernseyBlue.

Southampton don't want to sell but are aware a very significant cash offer is coming from elsewhere - and that could spark an auction for anyone who has the stomach for it financially.}

Seeing Smalling linked as well today, is it just a case of pick a Man Utd player and link them to Everton?

{Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest in Smalling but as I mentioned last week, someone senior at Portsmouth seems very sure that Everton will make an offer for Adam Webster who is now at Ipswich. I appreciate it is a long way from van Dijk, but there you go.}

A long way off in where he is now but Webster could be just the type of gem to be unearthed by Walsh and polished up.
