He turned us down, hence £15 mill was suddenly released. Fellaini out for 27.5 Mill, Anichebe out for? (think he will come back to haunt us). In Barry loan, Lukaku loan (good player but can we afford £20 Mill permanent), McArthy £13 Mill (Whelan has done us again) a lot for a relegated player. In all honesty a good trio in but is our Squad actually better and stronger now? It remains to be seen. A below top ten finish is on the cards.

Loan deals for the 2 better quality signings -- we won't be able to afford or buy either - we own less players so when the loans end the squad is weaker
Also you've taken 10 + goals a season out the midfield neither of the new midfield signings will get anywhere near that!
lakaula was a desperate punt because Kone is a waster - 9 months time you still have he struggling striker and no 6 million
We let junior go on loan as well so for a team that plays 5 in be middle we've got 7 midfielders 2 under 21 and on 2 on loan - how's this strengthening the squad!

Barry is in last year of his contract so would be free if we wanted him. Lukaku was not loaned to buy

Compared to what Roberto is used to it is a step up and with his 'talented abilities and back room staff' should be capable of getting us to finish above the bottom 3 for a couple of seasons. That is until he runs out of excuses.

Gutted Victor went, as another poster said hhe is going to come back and haunt us was just find his place then ousted. Would rather have him than Kone any day. Great price for Felli so happy with that one. He has been on his way for last couple of windows. good luck to him. Can we now leave Wigan to it. Sick of hearing that we are looking at their players. There was a reason they go relegated, manger was no good tactically and they had weaker players. We are lumbered with the manager but surely 4 relegated players is enough now. McCarthy just seems to play the same role as Gibbo, one cost £500K, the other well may as well have said to Whelan how much do you want this time. Now waiting for the drivel to start from RM on how we are stronger etc etc. We are ok but will be battling away in the bottom half this year and escape if we are lucky. He doesn't know what he is doing tactically. {Ed025's Note - bit unfair that mate, its 3 games in FFS...judge him if you must, but after xmas when things have settled down..

Spot on mudmud, you also don't know what his style of football is yet then! Just you wait, January is going to be our real problem when we're in 15th and they all come looking for Baines, Mirralas, Barkley and Jela. I hate to say this but I despair at Evertoinians I'll say again Joe Royal was a relegated Manager McCarthy's a class act and the squad is better than when the window opened because the players brought in can play in the system RM wants to play.

You lot are so unreal, felliani wernt zidane he never had that much of an impact at dcm, last year we never had ross playing so there's your 10 goals striaght away, we now have a goalscorer upfront, ye ok on loan but RM has a year to asses what he's got and what's out there

All I was saying is it may be too late by christmas ed, and don't worry I will judge by then, just a shame it feels like we are on a downward spiral. This guy does not inspire me one bit. At least big ;oe Royale was an Evertonian. just can't see it with this bloke.
