Something is going on at Sevilla. Their incredibly good and highly sort after Director of Football Monchi (9 trophies in 10 years at a 200 million profit in the transfer market) looks like he is walking.
Not suggesting it has anything to do with Emry or us but it's nice to dream of them as a combination.

Svenny

1.) 31 May 2016 07:41:18
He is wanted by Mourinho at United but would be great if we could have him.

2.) 31 May 2016 07:42:10
I just posted about head coach and director of football so if what your saying has legs. The two may come as a package. Monchi and Emery. Here's for hoping.

3.) 31 May 2016 07:57:19
If you wanna read my post, its in the 'banter' part.

27 May 2016 19:26:30
Cold shiver just went down my spine. Surely we are not waiting for a manager to be leaving their post after the euros. It's not going to be Hodgson is it?

Svenny

{Ed002's Note - It won't be Hodgson.}

I had to make short my self inflicted exile to report some disturbing news.

I emailed the Director of communication for Everton Football Club. My email was essentially a rant at how the club treat us fans with contempt in terms of their communication and to step it up.

The disturbing thing is the man responsible for our communications emailed me today at 13.51

You would hope he would have more pressing things to do than write me a long email. As much as I appreciated the considered response it did suddenly dawn on me that this is a sign that I guess we won't have too much to communicate today!

Svenny

1.) 01 Sep 2015 15:22:14
Why don't you copy and paste and let us all see what he had to say

{Ed025's Note - he has done..

2.) 01 Sep 2015 15:36:45
I don't genuinely think that fact that he was emailing me has any bearing on anything it was just a bit of fun. Although the fact he kept responding straight away did then make me think he can't be too busy.
I did tell him to get back to work on the press release for our big deadline day signing, he replied will do.
Not holding my breath though!

21 Aug 2015 17:41:53
Hearing parade on Sunday. Double signing. As I said yesterday I know two deals have been signed off from the board that means only medical remains, price and personal terms must have been agreed.
Although my source is an person and I guess he has already sanctioned 2 signings this summer so could be on the wind up

I hope the talk of a kenwright out banner being flown over st Mary's is false. If you want him out who exactly is replacing him? Do you have the cash for 25% shares of the club? Also show some class this is not the everton way. Love him or hate him I hope we sing his names as fans should a banner fly over head to show not support to him but distain for morons

Svenny

{Ed025's Note - I hope we are bigger than that svenny..

1.) 15 Aug 2015 08:20:54
Hope this is not true. and how come it's Bill Kenwright who gets all the stick I can name a few other hangers on at the club. Probably the blue union again making themselves looking stupid again. let's concentrate on the football 2-0 Everton today with Rom getting both.

2.) 15 Aug 2015 08:21:51
Planes and banners are the wrong way of trying to shift the board.we need shareholders to force the issue, problem is the majority shareholders are the board.do you think sir philip carters share are holding things up or has his family taken up a position on the board. Love him or hate him bill loves are club and won't risk are future with the many crackpots that have bought others. Notts co,leeds, sheff wed etc are no better off and we linked to big investers.

3.) 15 Aug 2015 08:59:27
Blue union are a typical gang of deluded morons , the members are probably the type of fans who used to bunk into all the games at goodison , it wouldn't matter how well we were playing there are always fans who are unot happy , they usually just want to be contrary to satisfy their emotional need to rebel.its a scouse thing I reckon , everton football club has never sold out its local tradition , selling out and chasing dollars goes hand in hand with success , we might not have had any trophies in the last 20 years , but we still have our soul, look at the Liverpool fans getting all giddy about the new stand they are building.none of their local fans will be able to afford to sit in it, its all for corporate business , I want success as much as the next evertonian , but faced with choice of rolling the dice , losing and becoming a Leeds , portsmouth etc , I reckon I am happy to stick with what we have .

{Ed025's Note - not all BU supporters are as you paint them DC, most of them have the good of the club at heart, but sometimes it does come across a bit crass..

4.) 15 Aug 2015 09:42:52
Think the problem is its seems we r being left behind in the transfer market and we blame the board maybe it's Bobby who went pay over the odds maybe all the player who r signing for other teams that we r linked with we are not in for them just my opinion let's stay calm till 6 pm on the 1st sept

5.) 15 Aug 2015 11:28:15
I agree with above comments. I know I'm blowing Moyes trumpet but between him and Kenwright they brought Everton to the top end of the league from the bottom of the league in a very limited budget. Not many clubs have done that. I pride myself in supporting a club that has been in the top flight the second longest without being relegated. Arsenal being the one in the top flight the longest. I do believe the only way we can compete at the very top is a massive investor. As stated above that doesn't always happen. It's not BK fault Everton are not progressing any more. Him and DM took Everton as far as anyone could under the circumstances. Leave BK alone! Who or what can do any better. Even though I'm not convinced with Martinez I believe he has the right approach. Hold onto to the players we have and only spend to improve the team. Look at the spending Tottenham done and got no further. Please Martinez change your tatics and you never know if we hold onto to our players and these players for the 'future' come through there is a chance we can compete at the top. If anyone has any better solution I'd love to hear them as I seen Everton scraping at the bottom. Hopefully the good work DM and BK can be built upon

6.) 15 Aug 2015 12:02:47
16 Years no investment I don't like the idea of it but the natives are restless.

7.) 15 Aug 2015 13:17:56
I don't know about how you guys feel but I'm a little embarrassed by that banner! I thought we had a little more class then that!

8.) 15 Aug 2015 14:10:15
I echo a lot said before in earlier posts, without BK and DM we were fighting off relegation each season. Martinez has done a bad job just other teams have done better and in my opinion he just needs to be a little more flexible in his tactics possession is good when it has a positive direction or positive end result! Banners about Kenwright out are not positive especially at a time when we are needing a positive push!
And it is Martinez and Kenwright that have secured talents like Lukaku and Deulofeu, just need to ensure we keep them! 😊

9.) 15 Aug 2015 15:04:31
I hope those who organised this disgraceful banner before today's game have a think about the further negativity they are promoting. Then again I am probably asking too much as idiots rarely think!

It was a day to celebrate a very good game where Everton played as good as I have seen for sometime. I hope we can all get behind the club and the team to see where we can take this. I hope also that we can have a little faith in our transfer activity rather than the constant panic. Nobody truly knows who we have even bid for, but you would think from this and other sites we have missed out on just about everyone who has changed clubs. Two words none sense!

10.) 15 Aug 2015 16:07:02
BK failed to find out new investor this only his wrong. And that is internal issue.

11.) 15 Aug 2015 17:30:36
Good post nb

12.) 15 Aug 2015 17:56:19
Well said both fishy and southern toffee. a lot of non-sense in transfer talk. People wanting to get excited. Beating Southampton 3-0, last years second lowest goals against team, conceding only 1 more goal than Chelsea last season is enough to get me excited. I'm not losing the run of myself its along time until next May but a lot of positives from todays game. Martinez looks like he's copping on with his tactics. On a different note funny there is no one on this website giving out about Kone anymore! People far too quick to judge. Before this season how could you judge him. He was plagued with injury. It was frustrating he wasn't getting going but I'm sure it was a lot more frustrating for him. Hope he stays injury free for the season and then everyone will know if he is good, bad or indifferent. Not saying he's Messi or anything just thought he was getting too much stick for being injured basically. 2 assists and a goal in two games isn't bad for anyone. See how the rest of the season goes for him.

13.) 15 Aug 2015 21:26:59
Is good to see Kone in amongst it and Barkley as well, it's all been too quick to be doom and gloom and I can be guilty of that myself to some level! We would all love Everton to filthy rich and making huge signings every transfer window like we are playing football manager with the cheat mode on but we aren't, but we are stable and have a good group of players and some promising talent coming through

Great result today 😊😊😊

14.) 16 Aug 2015 19:50:14
Lots of valid points have been raised but the main question is, do we believe Kenwright is the right chairman? My opinion is no! If he maintains the majority share holding in the club or not! under his chairmanship the club have been asset stripped, to the bare bones with no real explanation to where the money has gone, (20 million on other expenses?) We need a new chairman & a new chief exec because the current ethos of the board does not match that of our supporters, we are Everton we should be one of the biggest teams on the planet, but after years of mis-management & under achievement we are coming close to the point of no return, we need to act now! can we cope with another failed stadium? Bill saved us from Peter Johnson but who will save us from Bill, no one will invest in a club unless they get the majority shareholding so Kenwright has 3 options stay as we are & hope for the best, step down & bring in a new chairman/ chief exec, or sell his majority shareholding. As supporters of this great club we need to see some activity from the board or management, if Moyes hadn't left for utd he'd still be manager, finishing in Europa place is considered a good season, well i'll tell you what it's not good enough for me, (NIL SATI NISI OPTIMUM)!

Football is a game of opinions and I have had my fair few. Tom Davies was exceptional today in all he did. Really excellent distribution and technique to match the drive and determination I had witnessed previously.
I think if we will continue with 3 at the back and based on Holgates performance why not, a midfield dilemma is arising and it's great! When Gueye is back what is the 3 in midfield now we have Schniederlin and McCarthy back.
I have said many times on here that Mirallas is the best player we have, I just wish he did that for an hour every game. Maybe Koeman will use him like Leicester use Okazaki and say go nuts for an hour and don't worry because we'll take you off after.
Finally Lookman. He looks like a 14 year old, although I have been told by a Charlton supporting mate that he has a feeling the kid will be the next Ian Wright. Imagine that.
What a performance. Truly brilliant today. The most interesting stat, 71% possession to City, 38% of the game played in their last 3rd 19% in ours. Brilliant

Svenny

1.) 15 Jan 2017 17:43:00
Cracking game and performance but I bet that we will be on motd after the dark sides game at OT!

2.) 15 Jan 2017 18:32:55
Don't forget besic when fit, cracking little player

3.) 15 Jan 2017 18:48:35
Great post Svenny. And fair play to you, I thought in a previous post that you were unduly harsh on Davis but his performance today certainly warrants praise. They all put a shift in today, let's hope Kev et al continue in that vain!

4.) 15 Jan 2017 19:22:24
We need a deep Squad, I. E. two first Team players for each position, especially the style of football RK wants to play. Besic is a cracking player but again his style means he is going to be injured a lot of the time. Probably need another 3 CB, support striker and Goalkeeper (although I don't think this is a priority in RK's mind) .

12 Jan 2017 21:25:12
I'm the first to over react when things don't go our way. What we are doing with young Bradley on Sunday is what separates Everton to most clubs. We may have just spent bucket loads on some new players, we may be disgruntled with results but ultimately it is just a game, our club has that special ability to make it that little bit more and that is why we love it and that is what NSNO really means.
With a Everton in the community winning every award going and our endless support in the fight for those lost at Hillsborough we show that we are bigger than football. We are a club and that's why once you're a blue.
now. what's Walsh at getting that rubbish French lad for so much money 😂😂😂😂

Svenny

1.) 12 Jan 2017 22:22:37
Well said Svenny. I wish this kid the best with his treatment. I can't imagine how terrifying it must be for him and his family. What an inspiration he is.

2.) 13 Jan 2017 15:19:36
Standing on the stands on Sunday and watching that young lad walk us out will make me even prouder to be an Evertonian.
Hopefully moneybags City will take note and contribute to the cause for this young lad.

07 Jan 2017 17:10:01
Well that's the season over. Guess we try again next year!
I do hope we recruit and shift some players I also hope Koeman now experiments with different shapes and players. We have the opportunity to use the rest of this campaign as a sort of enormous pre season. We can't get top 4 and we're not going down so.

Svenny

1.) 07 Jan 2017 18:44:26
I don't understand what that formation was to be. When I first saw the side, I thought the same as against Leicester at their place. As many have said Coleman and Baines are primarily wing backs, they are not primarily defenders. With 3 at the back two wingbacks Leicester do not have the space to use their speedy players it is as simple as that.

30 Dec 2016 22:18:06
Also the Davies love in. My word. That guy is so bang average it's scary how desperate we are. Get rid of the lot. Start again selling Nil Satis Nisi Optimum to players. This bunch are just mediocracy personified. So average the lot of them. Lukaku scores fair play. Mirallas has touched of class, Idrissa is class and Baines will always be a good footballer. Coleman is our only performer and regular 7 out of 10. That's 5 players out of 23. The rest aren't up to it. Big changes needed if we are not going to be completely left behind. 1st thing, get Koeman on a bumper 7 year deal, no get out unless mega bucks. Then window by window shift the dead wood. I only watch us now because the manager tells it like it is.
New stadium, new club, same moto and maybe we might grow. Otherwise it will be new stadium, same club, administration.

Svenny

{Ed025's Note - very harsh svenny...but hard to argue with any of that mate..

1.) 30 Dec 2016 22:32:50
Svenny and Ed, I would argue the Davies point. Has more than deserved to be given time to develop and show what he can do. Fully understand a bit of negativity but jumping on a young kids back already is ridiculous, especially since he has performed well overall.

{Ed025's Note -yeah i did not mean to agree with the davies bit cropper, hes only young and that bit was unfair mate..

2.) 30 Dec 2016 22:34:53
I said in the first half, you do not change a winning side, it was true when I was a kid and it is true now. The side/ formation/ tactics against Leicester had width, pressure and defence, tonight we revert back to being narrow, slow and unable to pressurise. Look RK is the man for us and he is the one that gets paid big bucks but when it goes wrong for these guys it just makes them look like chumps. In my heart of hearts I know he has a plan but by heck it is some ride at the moment.

3.) 30 Dec 2016 22:45:52
You telling me Holgate is not up to it. You telling me Barkley with a better team is not up to it. Davies is 18 and will only get better. That is our future, build around them. They all need to play together. They all need to start. Barkley was so so so much better when Davies came on.

4.) 30 Dec 2016 22:55:42
Holgate looks committed with ability, Davies looks committed with limited ability, Barkley has endless ability but zero between his ears. The guy will never be what we all dreamed he would be. Let's stop holding on to ghosts and move on.
Re harsh on Davies. I'm not being harsh, the lad clearly has a future playing pro football at a decent level. I wish I was him at 18. Is he good enough to move us forward or build a team around? Deary me our standards are low. We have at best 3 players who top 4 clubs would be keen on. Coleman, Lukaku and Gana. End of. Mirallas is top 8 everyone else is just average. Deal with the reality guys. My Davies point is about our aspirations. We've gone from being excited about Rooney, then Barkely now it's Davies. The lad will never be a top top player.

5.) 30 Dec 2016 22:55:50
I'm no spring chicken, but then knowone is paying me 50,000 plus per week. It's pretty simple, there are too manny "old men" in our side. you can get away with one or two over 30s, but we have simply too many, the majorit of our problems start from that simple fact.

6.) 30 Dec 2016 23:21:19
You are wrong mate. The problem is Barkley is surrounded by too many crap players. He is trying to pick Lukaku out with three guys around him. We bag him because he goes backwards, that's because the players in their wheelchairs need an eternity to get moving.

Mate if he played at Tottenham, Man City, Chelsea or even Liverpool he would star. Why - because those players in those teams are prepared to run and his skill and vision would provide so many assists.

Davies you can't right the boy off straight away. He plays with passion and looks like he can shoot and pick a pass. I'm telling you right now. Get rid of Barkley to a top club and he will make us look like fools. Especially to all the fat overgrown lazy supporters who sit in the stands and bag and boo him all the time.

7.) 30 Dec 2016 23:49:16
Bit harsh on Davis really. The lad looks half decent, has bags of energy and tries to make a pass to make things happen and you're slating him why? We haven't seen enough of him to say whether he will make it or not so why condemn him?
This is the reason why young lads are on a hiding to nothing when they get their chance, you only have to look at Ross to see how the fans can affect a players confidence. No need and absolutely ridiculous to the extreme Svenny.

8.) 31 Dec 2016 00:24:50
Jesus, get a grip. Davies comes on and constantly wants the ball, and it good he's not scared to make a mistake. Seriously if people don't want to support this club then don't. Follow F1 Mercedes team then you will never be disappointed, but you will be bored.

9.) 31 Dec 2016 00:40:47
Again nonsense, so because a kid wants the ball passes it sideways and has energy we should all bow down. Why do so many Evertonians just accept average now?

10.) 31 Dec 2016 01:05:30
Bloody hell, since martinez was sacked, Davies instantly came into the team against Norwich and played a blinder. This season he has been gradually integrated into more first team duties, and played very well imo. even if he was sub par for 1 bloody game so what, he wasn't for me but fans are fickle and if we go with the notion some fans gave then, lukaku doesn't score in a game, sell him he's crap, we concede a goal, let's flog the entire defense and keeper. Get a grip, even top quality players have bad days. i remember Hibbert keeping Ronaldo in his back pocket. some fans need to get a grip before drooling crap out their mouths. Davies will become a top quality player for us, Mark my words.

11.) 31 Dec 2016 01:41:55
I'm lost as to why you would want to attack an 18 year old who has had fleeting appearances in the first team. The lad has not looked out of place when he has been used and, if anything, he has re-energised the team when introduced from the bench. Why did you think he was not up to it tonight Svenny? I didn't think he did much wrong apart from one stray pass. Many others on here feel the same as me. This kind of attitude is not helpful to the progress of any young player, we see how the idiots get to Ross on a weekly basis. If you are going to slate the lad then do it constructively, give valid reasons for doing so. I'm afraid I just don't see why you would have a go at him, the lad hasn't had much of a chance as yet and here you are, ripping a kid who has less than 10 appearances!

12.) 31 Dec 2016 08:43:49
I'm not attacking Davies I'm attacking us Evertonians who because he's 18 for whatever reason want him to play and throw around comments like "he's the future"
Sorry if he's our future then our future is to be a mid table side for all eternity. I want more.

13.) 31 Dec 2016 13:26:33
Alluding that 'he is bang average' and 'because a kid wants the ball passes it sideways and has energy we should all bow down' is pretty much ripping him Svenny.
Why shouldn't we support the young lads coming through? We are, after all, supporters and there isn't much better than a local lad coming through the ranks and playing for the first team. None of us know if he will make it but the lad hasn't looked out of place so far. If he continues to progress then he will be a part of our future, like it or not.
So there is no real justification to be so harsh, be critical if he plays badly but at least give the lad a chance.

30 Dec 2016 21:02:23
Rubbish. Hull care more. Simple. For the umpteenth time this year including last season we are second to everything and act like a bunch of cowards. No desire. No passion.

The fact we will finish in the top 8 is the frustrating thing because to be that good without giving two Donald Trumps it's really a damming indictment of the club ethos. From top to bottom they are comfortable.

Koeman has tried to rock the boat by saying the players aren't up to much, he won't be able to move them on though. Why would cleverly leave? He's on 40-50k a week here. Why would Jags leave, who would buy them? The years of accepting mediocrity is going to take years to change.

We will win tonight because we are better than them but anyone who is on a par or better than us will beat us because the players don't care. Simple. Bunch of pussies.

Svenny

1.) 30 Dec 2016 21:25:12
Ok maybe we can't even beat this lot. Deary me.

2.) 30 Dec 2016 21:57:53
Can't agree more svenny, barry is finnished now! lennon should be playing, he's no world beater but at least he will try.
I still support koeman but he has his hands full, what a complete bone idle, unpassionate and slow, sloppy shower of _______!

It's on Jim Whites official social media stream, he screenshot the message. There is 2 possibilities here, one for the last 6 months someone has conned Jim White in to believing they are Moshiri and are making a mug of him. Or Moshiri is actually sending these messages which in my opinion would be very very worrying.
Now Jim White broadcasts on the Premier Leagues ATM and you'd think given the several occasions Jim White has said he has received a message from Moshiri that the club would come out and say it's a hoax Jim lad you've been done.
This isn't a situation to be dismissed. If our majority shareholder is sending these messages then he's bloody Kenwright on speed with his BS and I can spout anything these numpties will believe it.
Re Koeman, he is not happy. He will say so on Friday next week in his press conference. If he's not happy because he wanted more players but doesn't hold the board responsible then that is fine. If he does then this could be a disaster.
My view is according to official financial reports we made a 2 mill profit this window in transfers in and out, the 17th lowest investment in the league. I think with the business we did that's extraordinary and quite brilliant actually. I think we have looked organized, fitter after Spurs, clear room to improve (with what we have) and all the signs are positive.
However if that BS was sent by Moshiri I don't like the sound of how he views us fans. I mean, wow, that's just utter nonsense.

Seriously Ed get with times.

I know we will never win a title if Tom Davies is "our future"
People are misinterpreting my point. Davies does look good and I'm sure he'll have a great future and career, I just think the love in is unfair firstly on him and secondly because it's purely based on his age.
I see it as we have all accepted mediocracy for so long that when I dare to dream of more I'm shut down as a non fan who just slags them off. I don't I support but quite frankly outside of about 4 players in our entire 23 man squad not a single club positioned above us in the league would take our players, including Davies. That's the gulf in class.
