So since Big Sam has come in, he's signed Walcott and Tosun and Mangala on loan which didn't work. Points wise if the season started when he took over we'd be 6th. I don't want him to stay but when you look at it objectively what as fans our the expectations because, well, his signings have worked and he's taken a relegation threatened side to a top six side in one January transfer window.
I must stress I'm in the out side of the argument but I'm thinking the banners and general viterol is a bit harsh.

1.) 02 May 2018 01:57:38
Agreed. Let’s enjoy two more games and look FORWARD to next year. If we allow this angst to consume us, we will all be in straight jackets by August

A great philosopher once sang “Don’t worry, be happy. ”

By the way if you’ve never heard Bobby McFerrin’s acapella version of Sunshine of Your Love, then you should have a listen.

Let’s lighten up Blues!

2.) 02 May 2018 07:49:23
Totally agree Svenny and New Blue in the U.

3.) 02 May 2018 09:54:57
Look if we had got to this position playing decent football then I don’t think this would even be an issue. The fact is the football is awful, and some of those wins could easily have been losses. We don’t dominate teams we bore them into submission. Now if people are happy to see us play like this all next season, then fine. But I will give it a miss thanks.
All the best.

4.) 02 May 2018 10:24:46
It's a catch 22 situation isn't it we are getting wins or points but the football being played is beyond awful, we pay our hard earned money to watch us and we should be able to at least get some enjoyment out of it instead of taking a duvet and pillow and falling asleep. We need a manager who will give us attractive football will have a go at the bigger teams and won't go for a draw away from home. Sam has done the job he's supposed to do and for that we should be grateful, but now we should move on and start a fresh next season.

5.) 02 May 2018 14:04:20
Agree with last two posters. If you're satisfied with points and NO entertainment whatsoever then maybe Allardyce is who you deserve.

6.) 02 May 2018 20:13:20
He will not be a success if he stays next season and we will find ourselves stagnating for yet another 12 months. I would bet my mortgage that given a full season we would not get top 6, beat the lower sides at home but go and play for a point away, and as for the top 6 teams just hope the negativity frustrates them enough to get a point whether it be home or away. Listen West Brom are after a manager and he suits them to a tee.

7.) 03 May 2018 07:59:24
So depressed being a blue at the moment. Sam will never win anything in the premiership as long as he has an aperture in his bottom! What makes these times much worse is the s@@@e actually look a good team and I cannot see them losing to a average Madrid team.
On a more positive note at least Steve Gerrard going to Rangers can stop Brendan Rodgers winning a title, he's done it before he can do it again!

8.) 03 May 2018 09:00:31
Love your positivity Lhrblue.

24 Oct 2017 12:39:41
Do we even know if Rhino wants it long term? He loves the club. If it doesn't work out that will most likely be his career at Everton over. I'm not sure he'd be willing to risk that. Sure he'll take it as a temporary but I'm not even sure he'd accept if it was offered long term.

1.) 24 Oct 2017 12:57:37
I think he would rip your arm off for the job. I think he said after the Norwich game he would love the job but it's out of his hands. If he did get the job and it didn't work out, I'd like to see him kept at the club tho, back into the coaching set up.

2.) 24 Oct 2017 13:00:37
That is a major concern for me too. Unsworth has done a great job at U23 but I think with this current crop of players in the form they are giving him the job full time may not be the best for his long term progression. Would love to see him succeed though.

3.) 24 Oct 2017 14:55:04
He has stated he wants it.

4.) 24 Oct 2017 20:26:41
David comes over very confident that he can get Everton winning matches again he must of known of the problems with Koeman.

22 Oct 2017 22:18:38
So many long posts so I'll keep it short. Koeman is finished. Fans and players have no respect for whatever it is he's trying to achieve.
It's untenable now so let's just wait. He will not be our long term solution we all hoped he would be.

What we do have is a lot of half decent young players and older players who can and should be performing better. Let's do a Leicester, give it to a Unsworth as a stop gap, if it works then let him stay on until it doesn't. Staying up is now our main priority.

31 Aug 2017 16:51:16
Due to confidentiality I can't say too much but very few private jet flights on stand by from mainland Europe to north west England. It's actually been an incredibly quiet day for jets.
With that in mind it's highly unlikely us, reds, city or united will be signing anyone from the continent. I don't have access to internal uk flights unfortunately. If we are (and personally I don't think we will) signing someone I'm fairly confident it will be domestically. If there was plans for someone from Europe clubs would have at least asked for options and to hold certain routes.

{Ed001's Note - no one needs to fly anywhere to be signed.}

1.) 31 Aug 2017 18:30:47
I don't get you? Club representatives will be in that respected country . Ready to do deal . no jets needed 😃🤣.

2.) 31 Aug 2017 18:35:02
Well they do for medicals. This was not just an Everton post it was basically saying that from the transportation side everything is extremely quiet.

{Ed001's Note - they can do a medical where the player is, like they did with Ox last night.}

3.) 31 Aug 2017 19:53:16
Well in previous years lots of jets have been put on standby. Today there is barely any. I work in this industry just saying what I see. It's not a dig or being negative i'm just saying historically they fly players over. Maybe because of the international break it's different but I'm only passing on information about flights.

{Ed025's Note - the international break may have a lot to do with that svenny mate..

08 Aug 2017 20:36:06
Hearing Dolberg from Ajax boys.

1.) 08 Aug 2017 21:02:57
would be good signing mate.

2.) 08 Aug 2017 21:23:17
i heard he wasn't for sale i know roma made a bid last month and that was dismissed by ajax but they have insisted they won't sell him this summer. unless we have made a ridiculous offer something like 50 mill plus niasse maybe, can't see why ajax wouldn't go for that.

3.) 08 Aug 2017 21:24:23
Decent source svenny?

4.) 08 Aug 2017 21:37:33
God I hope so 🙏.

5.) 08 Aug 2017 21:48:00
What's the source?

6.) 08 Aug 2017 23:14:15
no source just the job I work in. I'm putting 2 and 2 together but someone is scheduled to come from Amsterdam to Liverpool on Thursday on a private jet. I must stress these booking change by the hour. However the money has been deposited.

7.) 08 Aug 2017 23:43:05
No chance.

8.) 09 Aug 2017 00:30:40
Isn't there a keeper from holland that we are meant to be after? can't remember his name but I'm sure he's from there, but I much prefer your rumour, fingers crossed something happens soon, really need a striker and a pacer winger.

{Ed007's Note - The 'keeper you're thinking about is Vitesse's Eloy Room. I'm not saying that's who's flying in btw, just who you're linked to.}

9.) 09 Aug 2017 00:33:48
The fella who does contracts was spotted getting flight to Amsterdam.

10.) 09 Aug 2017 09:32:46
Or Jorgensen perhaps?

11.) 09 Aug 2017 12:48:11
Have to say Svenny a strange choice of words.
Knowing a flight due from hardly is hatdly the same as ' 'hearing Dollberg.

Would love it to be true but sounds more like a wild guess than a rumour.

12.) 09 Aug 2017 12:49:13
no chance has previously said he wouldn't want to move due to him being at the right club, and he's not wrong champions league and starting every game at such a tender age, put this one out your heads blues.

13.) 09 Aug 2017 13:01:46
Dolberg is far too slow. Can't see it myself.

14.) 09 Aug 2017 13:02:35
Whoever it is, get him on easyJet and use the money saved to tie up the Sigurdsson deal.

Not too bothered who the knew manager is to be honest. My opinion is that if Silva was 1st choice he'd have been announced by now but that's just common sense which doesn't really fit with Everton. The biggest thing we did was get Brands. That is a huge step in the right direction. He's so well thought of and could have easily been well accepted by fans of any major club in Europe. He will work wonders with our youth who are superior to most in our league and most across Europe. I expect to see Dowell given a role next season along with Robinson and Davies etc. Wage bills dictate league position across most professional leagues in Europe apart from very rare exceptions, he's bucked that trend in Holland and I think within 2 seasons you'll see us being a force regardless of the manager.

{Ed025's Note - nice to hear from you svenny mate..

1.) 23 May 2018 19:56:41
Is Vitor Pereira going to be the new manager Svenny lol ;)

05 May 2018 23:26:48
Even more than the derby I expected today to be entertaining. I thought we'd lose because Southampton needed to win and we didn't, however I figured that would create excitement and tension. How we managed to turn a must win survival battle into such a boring game speaks volumes to where we are. I wanted them to be on holiday, relaxed and showboat a little we had nothing to lose against a team who had everything to lose. Won't even bother watching the west ham game, got a deck to vanish and I'd rather watch it dry.

05 May 2018 23:22:24
At least one blue knows how to fight and put on a show.

{Ed0333's Note - And what a show it was Svenny

07 Apr 2018 13:22:47
Seriously on paper man for man we have a stronger team than them yet they are playing like they are scared of them. The club is simply wrotten to the core at the moment. Very sad.

1.) 07 Apr 2018 14:17:43
To be fair on paper or side is still stronger, that comment is void but as the game is it’s a dead one anyway nobody actually needs to win, even a loss would hurt too much for either side is suspect so why destroy themselves for what feels like a friendly. Last ten minutes your lads have don't alright.

01 Jan 2018 18:19:17
Personally think that's the best 45 minutes of our season so far. We will be a different proposition with a striker that's not just a nuisance but can actually play a bit as well.

1.) 01 Jan 2018 18:29:39
Agreed. Love Oumars enthusiasm but he isn't going to get us the goals we need.

If Lacessels moves it will not be to us, lots of champions league clubs are showing interest. He’ll have better options unfortunately.

I rate him as a hold up player. Would take him. I'd take Shane long as the Vardy equivalent as well for some pace.

I said when Davies first broke in to the side that I think he is a mid to lower Prem player or maybe even championship. I stand by that. Nothing against the lad but he doesn’t have the physical attributes to play the sort of midfield role he tries nor has he shown the skill set to alter that role. DCL is similar. I can’t see him being a 15-20 goal a season Prem striker.

They gave him an 18 month contract that’s basically end of the season and a payoff. We clearly needed a striker. Got one. That will be that in my opinion. Next appointment is the big one.

At Goodison we are awful as fans 9 times out of 10 it’s a library. Away fans are awesome. Did you see me in the video? I’m the guy in the dark jacket.

The reality is he did his medical in the summer, passed so but he walked out for reasons unknown. What he did was accept a payoff to sign in January for a lot less so he and his agent get a nice kick back.
What is ridiculous about the letter is that why wouldn’t he and more fool our club for allowing it. Nothing illegal happened, we should have said take him now in the summer or he’ll be a free agent next summer and loads of clubs would be in for him so if you really want him take him now, if you’re willing to gamble do that. Smart business by Chelsea, awful from us.

She was sort of right, it has been a waste of money so far this season!

My Mrs also didn’t understand the Rooney goal. She said wow he got so lucky, what was he trying to do?
