Good Morning,

Top, Top Result and Performance that last night!

Found it very pleasing to see us move the ball at pace, thought everyone seemed a lot more comfortable even tho didn't come off all the time.

Godfrey is top notch.
Keane immense.
Digne oozes class.

Even thought Tom Davies did well (not a big fan like most) .

If only we can get a tune outta Richy for a period of time, could be differance between a good season and a great 1.

Doucoure big miss for Sunday but fingers crossed we put in the effort and commitment in to grind a result.

Since the Liverpool game Richy has gone off the boil, just like he did at Watford.

Don't know if his head is elsewhere or if he just needs to get a goal to boost his confidence.

2.) 13 Jan 2021 11:39:33
I don’t get this constant criticism of Richarlison. He’s not scored for a while but his work rate is second to none, he got numerous fouls against him last night which broke up wolves play, he even gave a foul away to slow down their play.
He does far more for the team than some fans give him credit for.
Just because he’s not smiling all the time doesn’t mean he’s in a strop and looking for a move away it’s probably just his demeanour.

{Ed025's Note - defensively he offers the team so much dan, i dont care if he is miserable myself mate but he has been out of sorts lately, hopefully its just a bit of a blip as he brings a lot to the team..

3.) 13 Jan 2021 17:21:30
Personally dan I think he's gone at the end of the season. The fact Carlo mentioned that he wanted to leave in the summer only for the promise of a push for CL and to stay a year, for me means he's looking elsewhere.

I didn't like his attitude with Sig and the Pens and that for me is someone who is thinking of himself above the team.

I still want to play well though and hope he realizes what he's got and EFC but I can't see him beyond this year with us.

{Ed025's Note - i hope not john..

Shocking Performance! Sickening Result.

No excuses.

Total lack pf pace, quality and hungar! We've had more rest with the city game cancelled.

Not 1 player offered anything.

ANOTHER big chance missed. 🙄.

Brilliant 👏👏👏.

Fair play to Carlo. As with most scratched my head with bizaare selections at fullbacks of late but last 2 games fully justified.

Keane as been outstanding and so so pleased we got Godfrey, what a great player he looks.

Gotta say been extremely impressed with Iwobi ever since Fulham game, shown glimpses before but starting to come together on a regular basis.

Show same passion, pride and solidity against Arsenal&Utd and we have nothing to fear!

UTFT 🙂💪💙.

1.) 16 Dec 2020 21:22:52
Yeah. Iwobi for me has been excellent. Tbh he looks fitter and stronger so maybe he’s been putting extra work in the gym.

Confidence also seems to be a big factor for him and he’s certainly full of it at the moment. For me he’s setting his baseline and needs to continue at this level on consistent basis.

2.) 16 Dec 2020 22:32:14
Wonder if he’s taking notes from DCL’s physical transformation. It is startling to see the difference between the boy Dom that made his Everton debut, and the sheer physical presence of the man now. Great to see that rub off on other squad members!

13 Dec 2020 10:08:09
Brilliant Performance and result.

Such a good feeling to actual wake up day after with a win 💙🙂.

As stated thought all back 4 were immense, but Keane and Godfrey were quality. Godfrey looks some buy bearing in mind his versatility.

Alan was at it all game and what we love to see

Gotta give Siggy a lot of praise as he has had a lot of stick of late ( justified at times) just a thought his wife came out this week stating she was expecting their first child, no coincidence to me that he played with a smile and determination. Congrats to both 👏.

Last thing wish Richy would just concentrate on running at teams and not sulking and falling over, such a talent but again yesterday he gets a early yellow and was a worry of a 2nd throughout not to mention his strop with penalty % Siggy.

Anyway a lot more positives then negatives. 🙏 for some consistency and good luck.

1.) 13 Dec 2020 12:02:59
Good post mocker - agree with the majority apart from Richarlison comments.

This thinking he goes down too easily is crazy, the lad gets lumps kicked out of him every game, I don’t think I saw one incident yesterday when he went down too easily.

His yellow card while not great highlights his commitment.

And as for arguing over penalty (not sure if it was an argument as not shown in bt sport) not sure what issue is - he’s a confidence player and a goal would do him the world of good, if he thought taking a penalty may achieve that great.

I’m sure there were a few groans from fans when sigurdsson stepped up as he’s not shown much in last few games to warrant being the hero of the game. Any way he scored he had a good match as did all the players and we won onwards and upwards.

2.) 13 Dec 2020 12:43:57
Yeah get what your saying about Richy gingerdan with him getting booted a lot in a fair few challenges but he also has a tendency to go down a tad easy imo. can't fault his quality and commitment with a great workrate. Just wish he could eridicate his negative side and see him play with abit confidence but as you rightly said he is a confidence player and when the goals start to come and matures he will go to the next level.

But he has a reputation now in league rightly or wrongly and with him getting a yellow early in games does become a worry especially with his percieved antics ie east to wind up.

Scenario- Siggy missed that pen? After Richy does what he does, we would all been down in dumps as probably lost game and negativity in the camp.

But 🙏 he didn't so happy days 💙.

3.) 13 Dec 2020 16:12:25
Richy does need a goal but not half as much as Siggy needed one.

23 Sep 2020 21:52:01
Things certainly looking up in general and such a nice buzz actually winning games.

The young french LB looks a absolute steel and a unearthed gem, £600k, wow! Very much in coleman bargain mould.

Only downside, Moise Kean! The club just got to cut ties imo, he obviously isn't happy and don't see us seeing the potential he has, more of a balotelli in making. Cut losses, let go home.

Also Pickford, we need a new GK who installs confidence and at least challenges the number 1 spot.

In general very positive times ahead, certainly chalk n cheese from 12months ago. 👍👏😀.

mocker77

1.) 23 Sep 2020 22:09:35
Nkounkou? Yeah he's looking a bit special. Moise looks like a slapped a**e. Must go with TD as a matter of urgency.

2.) 23 Sep 2020 22:19:39
250k compensation Mocker that's what he cost us.
Moise is unhappy and I agree we have to sell him. He's scored 4 in 4 so why shouldn't we make a bit of profit on him.
Pickford needs competition and he would soon find himself as backup.

3.) 24 Sep 2020 00:14:32
MK has scored 4 in 4, albeit against lesser opposition, so why the clamour to let him go? If ever there was a manager to sort him out then CA is the one, let's not be too hasty in getting rid. How many players have taken time to settle into this league over the years? The lad has obviously got talent so let's get off his back and see if he can turn his EFC career around. It's taken DCL a couple of seasons to get where he is now and he has come from this country. MK is a young lad settling into a new culture, judge him after this season if he hasn't already been driven out!

4.) 24 Sep 2020 07:08:09
If you actually read the posts bluepotato you will understand that people are commenting on the fact that he is blatantly not happy. You're right he is very young and has moved country - and he is making it abundantly clear that he absolutely hates it. I agree with the others, sell him back to Italy if we can and hopefully he will get back to enjoying football.

5.) 24 Sep 2020 13:07:45
TD, maybe that is what people are saying now but not so long ago there were a lot on here questioning whether he is good enough. Now because he appears to be unhappy some are jumping on that. For me, if he hasn't improved or isn't putting up much of a fight for a place in the team by the end of his second season then that would be the time to let him go. If he's really unhappy in England then he should ask to be put on the transfer list. His agent is more of a problem than the player himself!

6.) 24 Sep 2020 21:11:20
Another season? he's our back up striker, if we want to get into the top 6 then we need to think a little differently. If he was 4th choice and we had time to let him settle over 2 or 3 seasons then that would be great.
He couldn't understand what to do when dunc played him, is more interested in partying, has the 1st touch of Lukakus sister. Wants to go back to Italy so let's not dress it up to be him adjusting.

Cheers Ed,

Soz didn"t make myself too clear, I meant with Villa game likely being cancelled and their game against Man City next Wednesday in doubt.

If the City game was cancelled, would the Prem look to put our cancelled game v city in place as have done with spurs games.

Make sense as need utilise slots, City do play Palace this weekend tho too.

Not sure where rest of reply went.

was wondering in likelihood of villa game being cancelled and possibility of villa/ city being called off next Wednesday, if the prem would re schedule our game v Man City for that slot as done with spurs games this week.

mocker77

{Ed002's Note - There is no way to tell right now but games will be rescheduled to fill gaps as we have already seen.}

In the likely event it is called off, do you think the Premiership may try to fit the cancelled game against city in as with the cancelled spurs/ villa game and Fulham fixture pencilled in as a replacement. Would make sense I guess!

mocker77

{Ed025's Note - with city playing tonight mocker i think they will have excuses ready for not playing us at the moment mate..

I wouldn't take any notice of oddschecker odds.

Remember I had a tenner on Paolo fonseca at time at 25s as got on whilst rumour was early, kept checking odds was as low as 1/ 8 on and koeman ended up named manager.

See drifted to 5/ 2 2nd fave now at time of writing this.

Moyes 2/ 1 fave from 9-2 this morning. 🙄.

Totally agree ED025.

Today's selection was baffling, to play Davies at RWB was bizarre considering Iwobi had his best game for us last week v Fulham.

Surely the natural thing to do was to slot Niels into LB with Delph as a back up if wasnt working out and keep Iwobi in the RWB where to his credit was MOTM last week. very very baffling and to not have Niels on bench is a P! %& take to the lad. James for all his qualities he has is being carried and ineffective since injury in derby.

Without Pickford could have been 3 or 4 so credit where credits due, he had a blinder as I have as many been very critical.

We really do need to try become more compact and grind results, we still have a decent platform with points accumulated to have a decent league position. Build from that and get some confidence
within time as seems void at present and just so open.

Argue that in ALL games this season chances we have allowed we could quite easiy lost them all.

Carlo needs step up and get a reaction from this lot to justify his high reputation and experiance.

Ps meggsey.

Matic jas only just signed a 3 year extension at Utd.

They are loaded with a lot of midfielders and will add.

So see both James and Mctomminay being bit part players, so a loan to another prem team to get more gametime ( as numerous have stated on here for us to do with Tom Davies! ) can't be a bad idea.

Meggsey. both are not going to get much game time there and Utd will spend so so being pushed further down pecking order, as for retirement home, yhey are 22 and 20 🤨. Never mentioned Matic and Mata and wouldn't want either as in that case the retirement home cap fits and 100% agree.

Point was both are players that fit our needs, could be a deal to be made even if its a loan and certainly would improve our options. Realistic maybe not on both but could see 1 going even of loan.

Wasn't holding my breath over landing ancellotti ed002 so as unlikely as may appear with a list of other teams maybe having a edge over us with European football etc, I think could have legs certainly with the ancellotti connection (wishful thinking maybe, but what a statement of intent that signing could be) .

Just refreshing see us linked with top drawer players. Exciting times ahead. definitely see a marquee signing in next 2 windows, 1 that people think had no chance getting.

Really hope koulibaly is that signing.

COYB UTFT!
