Omfg we signed Bernard.

ant wharton

1.) 06 Aug 2018 20:09:43
Haha what a belter of a surprise that is!
Apparently he was convinced by Silva and wants to link up with richarlison.

{Ed002's Note - He plays in the same position.}

2.) 06 Aug 2018 20:44:00
He is versatile across the front positions ed.

{Ed002's Note - He is effectively a LW the same as Richarlison - although as you say, he can play adequately in other positions.}

3.) 06 Aug 2018 21:02:17
He played no.10 role last season I think, so for me drop Siggy back to play alongside (slightly ahead) of Gueye then Bernard number 10 with Walcott and Richarlison either side of him and Tosun up top.

4.) 06 Aug 2018 21:20:39
Sounds good to me smeg know a centre back or 2 and defensive midfielder ed do you think there would be any problem with him getting a work permit if he signs.

{Ed025's Note - hopefully not as he is a regular for his country david, which is one of the criteria..

5.) 07 Aug 2018 00:33:12
Does that mean Lookman will be sold?

6.) 07 Aug 2018 06:36:31
I think lookman will stay. Vlasic will be gone leaving our wingers as Richardson, Bernard (if a done deal) , Walcott and Lookman. I'd play Bernard behind Tosun and pull Siggy back to a slightly deeper roll.

7.) 07 Aug 2018 07:24:32
You just said Bernard as one of our wingers then said Bernard to play no. 10 which is it.

25 Jan 2017 09:25:19
Anton donker in for under 23'section is the option for a permanent deal?

ant wharton

1.) 25 Jan 2017 13:13:13
Not claiming to be in the know but it seems a bit of an odd one for the player if it isn't. He knows he won't be getting game time over Rom so it's not a move to get him experience. Unless we start playing 2 up front.

2.) 25 Jan 2017 14:10:07
Hope it's not another henen fiasco.

3.) 25 Jan 2017 18:15:54
According to the mirror they say Anton doncer will play for the under 23s before being considered for the first team perhaps this is to get a good look at the lad before deciding if he could cope with the demands of the game in England the echo also saying he would cost in the region of 1.5 million to sign on a permanent deal

26 Jul 2016 19:59:40
Idrissa guye did not expect that.

ant wharton

24 May 2016 18:57:21
I have spoken to a friend who works for Everton behind the scenes. I won't name source, but she tells me David moyes is very close to agreeing a deal, but moshiri is not convinced. The board believe with financial muscle, moyes will be able to rise to the top!

ant wharton

1.) 24 May 2016 19:10:08
It will be up to moshiri who becomes manager so if he's not convinced then it won't happen. Whether u know someone who works behind the scenes or not. Load of rubbish I think.

2.) 24 May 2016 19:12:11
Bull! Not a chance. Moshiris not a fool - you don't become a billionaire by being that stupid. Moyes will not get the job., Kenright his best mate is being phased out next season with Farhad becoming majority shareholder and he still wants Koeman and believe he may well get him, if not it will be Pellegrini as the board are unsure about Frank De Boar at present who appears to be desperate and begging for any Premier league job that's been going in the last season or 2 and been overlooked on each occasion thus far!

3.) 24 May 2016 19:43:34
If I hear about Moyes coming back one more time I might jump off the Severn bridge on my way to work tomorrow. The man will never win any major trophy, can't spend big bucks, can't handle big players egos, and. and. and. and. well that's enough said. Get Moyes back and look forward to being a nearly team again. We have money now, we have ambition, let's look up not down.

4.) 24 May 2016 20:51:16
I can't believe that they are even interviewing him and I can't believe that Moshiri would agree to him returning. If he does come back as Manager it is because Kenwright still has his hands on the train set. If he does come back any good feelings I have for Kenwright will go out of the window.

5.) 24 May 2016 21:03:55
Let's be fair Moyes would be an upgrade on where Martinez has left us but I have to agree I don't feel he is right for where we are heading!

6.) 25 May 2016 22:54:56
Why are we not interviewing villas boas? Think he did well at spurs and set them up for pochittino to take them where they were last season.

11 Apr 2016 18:10:37
Henen brought back to everton.
From what I've seen in u21s he wasnt very good.
Same at fleetwood scoring once.

All the trouble we had getting him too.
Next season i'd loan him to villa or sunderland if he doesn't cut it get rid!

ant wharton

1.) 12 Apr 2016 13:40:14
Tbf he was injured for most of his loan spell at fleetwood but shola ameobi looks better so were probably better getting rid.

2.) 12 Apr 2016 14:11:54
Good to see we gave the lad a chance, on the scrap heap it is then.

3.) 12 Apr 2016 14:54:25
he played in wing for them and Fleetwood fans gutted that he gone.

4.) 12 Apr 2016 15:43:32
Unbelievable Bretto, no one has even seen the lad play, I have a mate who is a Fleetwood fan and he said he showed some great signs and they wanted to keep him.

5.) 12 Apr 2016 16:15:44
ye I've watched football leauge show done decent for them he's done alright for under 21s. I've looked at Twitter and there gutted he gone. seen him v Tranmere first team for under 21s in pre season caused them threats with his pace till he injured.

To put things in to perspective about the player we just signed. he is the 8th most socially media followed sports person in the world. 100m followers and that’s before he joined us and we all start to follow.
His commercial appeal should be exploited in south america.

ant wharton

1.) 07 Sep 2020 21:22:12
Excellent. Let's get one of the Kardashians as tea lady next.

2.) 08 Sep 2020 08:01:32
worth 20 mill for the commercial opportunity alone, even allowing for his management rights.

06 Jul 2020 21:58:13
That was a very bad show of Everton, no midfield at all and no skill.
Gomes is pointless.
He needs to ship around 10 players out and replace and unfortunately he can't so it's around another 6 years of utter garbage.
Fumin.

ant wharton

1.) 07 Jul 2020 00:03:24
Not sure he needs to ship 10 out.

Of tonight’s team I would happily see Sigurdsson, Iwobi and sidibe be moved on.
None of them seem to offer anything.

Gomes and Davies had poor games but wouldn’t move them on.

Definitely need a midfield general, creative midfielder and a right back brought in though.

2.) 07 Jul 2020 08:33:36
Davies is worse than gazza was here.
Total waste of a starting spot.
Gomes will never be the same player and it's understandable.
Siggy only does the business for Iceland.
Iwobi isn't a footballer.
Sidibe won't be kept on.
Walcott is finished 5 years ago.
Delph can't stay fit.
Bernard has never done anything atall, to small and offers zero attack threat.
DCL looks like he can't hit a barn door.
Coleman is declining week by week.

Any fan who believes were a signing away for top 6 are deluded.

We held Liverpool who were unlucky against us, scrapped past Norwich.
Played well for 10 mins against Leicester and then stayed in the north west against Tottenham.

I can't believe the lack of effort and belief.
A major overhaul is needed and Carlo could see it.
I believe he will part ways with Everton before 15 games is over next season, the job is too big for anyone.
Give it Ferguson, unsy, even Stubbs and start a 10 year plan.

3.) 07 Jul 2020 11:05:11
Ant, the job is too big for someone like Carlo so you suggest giving the job to Duncan, Rhino or Stubbs? You know, three people who don't have any real experience in comparison to CA. Crazy talk mate!

4.) 07 Jul 2020 13:00:31
In what way were Liverpool unlucky against us?

02 Jul 2020 13:43:08
I think Pickford should be dropped next year and give lossl ago. he was a shining light in a crap Huddersfield team.
He's a shot stopper but commands area better than Pickford who I believe is as bad as Paul Gerrard.

ant wharton

1.) 02 Jul 2020 17:50:28
Pickford was a shining light in a crap Sunderland team once upon a time mate!

21 Feb 2020 19:21:07
Charlie Nicholas again has predicted an Everton loss. That is now literally about 9 out of the last 10 weeks.

He is soooo biased and hates Everton,
Absolute helmet.

ant wharton

{Ed047's Note - I agree

1.) 21 Feb 2020 20:05:40
Why? Away at Arsenal and you moan.

2.) 21 Feb 2020 21:09:17
We have never beaten arsenal away in PL. it’s not that biased. However I will upload a pic of my bear bum if we don’t get 3 points.
I’m that confident we will win 2-1 I think
Bum on Everton sightings however if we lose 😂.

3.) 21 Feb 2020 23:36:29
This time I know we struggle but every week home or away he fancies the other team.

4.) 21 Feb 2020 23:49:01
Arsenal since Arteta has taken over are the draw specialists. This can either go for us having had a two week break and Arsenal played Thursday or against us by us having that break. If we go off current form we are the favourites and as long as we don't give away silly goals like we did against Watford I can finally see us breaking the duck and coming away with 3 points.

5.) 22 Feb 2020 09:41:36
Our midfield will be over run because it's terrible, but I like saying we will loose so they can prove me wrong 😁.

6.) 22 Feb 2020 12:16:52
A draw wouldn't be a bad result, it would keep them below us and we really need to be beating Man u at home if we are serious europe contenders.
Chelsea strangely aren't brilliant at home so we have a good chance down there on the counter attack but I'd go at Arsenal from the whistle. One thing their players can't deal with is a bit of pressure and a kick here and there.

7.) 22 Feb 2020 23:20:42
A win would be great tomorrow - has the season written off a few weeks ago.
6-7 points over next 4 games minimum I think as we are playing catch up - don’t lose tomorrow and two 6 pointers vs Chelsea and Man Utd
I fancy Watford to get something vs Man Utd tomorrow.

Wolves are going under the radar - there next few games are winnable.

8.) 23 Feb 2020 06:24:52
If we qualify for Europe that would be great and I would love it but I would be happy just to see the team continue to improve under Carlo and show effort every game, starting at Arsenal today.

At the moment I feel we are getting results without playing brilliantly, We still look fragile in defence and midfield sometimes and have run our luck on occasions.

Having said that it is the sign of a good team that they can grind out results so all credit to them. Hopefully, having Gomes back also gives us a lift. Next 4 matches are tough but we can go into them with hope and confidence rather than fear

COYB NSNO.

03 Nov 2019 15:34:57
3 in midfield. I hope Delph shields the defence and Davies and gomes get that ball going forward. If we go behind I'd take off Delph and put Kean on and go two strikers.

ant wharton

1.) 03 Nov 2019 15:57:59
Were playing 433 why revert to 442 if were losing?
Seems like a backwards move. Give up the midfield for an extra striker?

2.) 03 Nov 2019 16:14:55
I’ve got a better formation if we’re losing. 0-0-10.

3.) 03 Nov 2019 19:40:51
We didn't play 433 Smit. We played 4141 then went 442 after Gomes went off.

I hope his injury isn't that bad and he gets back to full health soon, must be hard for the guy just coming from injury to have what looked like something really bad.

{Ed047's Note - his whole foot was twisted around at 90 degrees so I can’t imagine it will be a quick fit Chris.

4.) 03 Nov 2019 20:41:49
It’s 12 months till we see him again couldn’t make game today so watched on box and it was one of those that made you feel sick when you see the leg like that, Coleman will be good to have around Andre in next few weeks.

5.) 03 Nov 2019 22:14:24
Very bad. Agree that's 12 months.

Honestly I'd sell for 95m. I honestly don't think he's that good and we could but two players.
He shows up every now and again and think Gordon will be better.

I really hope not. he's has city mis-firing a lot of the time wasted money on bad defenders.

I could manage city. he is not the answer imo.

{Ed025's Note - its all about opinions ant and while i respect your opinion i dont agree mate..

If Chelsea said john your up and coming and were willing to pay you 10k a week until you play 25 plus games a season for us.

He would want to play for Everton instead.

I don't blame him more money is obviously better. but he should be thankful that we took a punt on him and he's not playing for Wigan.

He should of stay with us play the season improve and then after the euros say he's off but the board and Chelsea would of had a year to prepare.

Loyalty is dead

He played like 35 games last year for arsenal and made more assists than ozil.

He will be decent.
