I think doucs will be offered another year ?.

ant wharton

{Ed025's Note - i hope not Ant, nice guy who tries hard but if we are to progress we need better imo mate..

1.) 07 Apr 2025 12:39:31
Hope we move him on.

2.) 07 Apr 2025 14:14:24
Don't think then.

3.) 07 Apr 2025 15:01:49
Your on the button FBS mate.

4.) 07 Apr 2025 18:30:55
Pass on that one. Too old, too slow, and too expensive.

5.) 07 Apr 2025 20:24:02
Move on but show appreciation for years of service including that goal. Not many have deserved a send off - he does!

6.) 07 Apr 2025 20:37:24
Very well paid for it as well mate.

7.) 07 Apr 2025 22:22:59
So we praise players for one goal now?

8.) 08 Apr 2025 10:25:17
I think it was what the goal meant to us all mate.

9.) 08 Apr 2025 14:22:07
Not for one goal, bmd, but he certainly deserves a bit of respect for his service and helping to keep us up in trying times. Age catches up to all of us in the end unfortunately and that's where he is right now. When his contract runs down it should be thanks and good luck.

10.) 08 Apr 2025 14:43:35
Wouldn't mind him being offered a deal if it's 20% of what he's on right now to be a sub.

11.) 08 Apr 2025 14:57:29
Why do we continue praising players when they have one good game? Oh it was his goal that kept us up. Really? Surely it was his form along with a good few others that put us in that situation in the first place?
This guy gets 100k a week, is playing in a key position on the pitch and has been bloody awful.
Will be glad to see the back of him.

12.) 08 Apr 2025 16:47:51
End of his contract, high wage, not good enough now time to get rid.

{Ed025's Note - i think "maybe time to move him on" would be a better phrase mate.. :)

13.) 08 Apr 2025 18:23:31
Angel Gomes on a free. Roughly same wages and he's not getting played at lille because he's looking to leave. I think next season we will have a very different squad. Hope they activate alcaraz transfer as he only going to get better. Also read today that we are going to activate Liam Delaps release clause. The lads a baller and again he will only get better. But I'm sure other teams will be in for him. Just hope we can convince him to join. Plus a smattering of championship players like Fellows, Rigg, O'Neil, the Watford player from Georgia too. The Burnley lad looks quality too, Esteve I think he's called.

14.) 08 Apr 2025 18:24:02
Ok Ed point taken mate no offence meant.

{Ed025's Note - none taken GB mate..

15.) 09 Apr 2025 00:16:39
BMD, as I said, time has caught up with him and yes, he needs to go at the end of his contract. That doesn't mean fans have to show him total disrespect, as you have in this thread, as he has done a job for us during his time here. Maybe not so much in the last season or two but he still deserves to be acknowledged for helping keep the dream of still being in the prem when we move to our new stadium. Each to their own mate but don't worry, I'm sure you will have a new target to slate come next season.

16.) 09 Apr 2025 09:18:44
I read that Doucs and DCL were both offered new deals but on less money Doucs was interested but DCL less so.

17.) 09 Apr 2025 12:53:45
Not on the strength of the last few games, wages spent better elsewhere.

18.) 09 Apr 2025 18:07:52
DefoJB.

19.) 09 Apr 2025 20:29:16
That’s fine BP. Players get praise from me when they earn it, to me he hasn’t. Clearly you don’t agree and that’s fine.

20.) 09 Apr 2025 21:32:33
Neither do I.

{Ed025's Note - in the end its not Doucs,s fault, blame the manager who picks him each week while having the likes of Alcaraz on the bench..

21.) 09 Apr 2025 23:47:59
All about opinions bmd mate, if we all thought the same then these pages would be a bit boring.

09 Jan 2025 17:31:39
Welcome back sir David moyes.

ant wharton

30 Aug 2024 13:14:45
Would we need to offer dele a contract and registration today if we want to sign him? ,

ant wharton

{Ed002's Note - No, within a couple of weeks.}

1.) 30 Aug 2024 13:48:00
He's off to Lyon.

2.) 30 Aug 2024 14:03:36
Lille I read, Dev.

3.) 30 Aug 2024 18:06:12
Yep that's the one.

15 Jun 2024 14:05:28
There is no way this new owner will let Everton go into administration.

I highly suspect he will be buying the shares for around £400m then settle map debt.

He will restructure the other debt and I guarantee we get a few players in.

This guy has got Roma doing well more than we could ever dream for. he's decisive and not scared.

I think this is good shout all round.

ant wharton

{Ed002's Note - All that he has committed to is giving Moshiri the money to buy his shares at the current price and guaranteeing to pay off the overdue MSP debt and provide funds to keep the club afloat for a month or two. For that he gets nearly all of the club (94%).}

1.) 15 Jun 2024 14:37:59
I think that's called buying the club Ed.

{Ed002's Note - Others see this money as going to the club to spend on players I am afraid. The club will still have more than £1B in debt.}

2.) 15 Jun 2024 15:12:44
Like a few other premier league clubs Ed, but hopefully someone that can guide our club a lot better than recent times. Appears to be a lot of positivity amongst others and media for him.

{Ed002's Note - Sure but there were better options.}

3.) 15 Jun 2024 15:45:59
The only thing we should be concerned with is whether or not this owner is better than Moshiri and whether we are in a healthier and more secure position than we were beforehand.

If the answer is yes, that is all that matters to me.

If we manage to at least tidy things up off the pitch and stay in the league, perhaps with a healthier finishing position. We will become a much more attractive proposition in the future, especially with the stadium.

4.) 15 Jun 2024 16:09:03
Bang on BlueNose.

5.) 15 Jun 2024 16:09:50
I think most of us will be happy with a drama free season. A few decent additions wouldn't go a miss. It's going to take a while to clear the mess up.

6.) 15 Jun 2024 16:20:14
Better options for Moshiri?

7.) 15 Jun 2024 17:04:30
Not really sure why other bids were potentially better options? The new stadium is the game changer, why are some people obsessed with debt?

8.) 15 Jun 2024 17:43:52
It's hard not to be obsessed with debt when that debt is over 1 billion pounds and the club is loss making.

Even if we were the most profitable premier league club in existence it would take us about 7 years to get that down to a manageable level and that would require us to also be successful on the pitch.

Also the big issue is not the debt, but the interest on the debt - most of that £1b has been loaned at very unfavourable terms I would expect and the interest is simply huge, and I doubt we could ever turn a profit while still paying that interest, so getting an owner that would reduce that debt was critical.

9.) 15 Jun 2024 18:07:37
Something to moan about ToffeeRealist mate.

10.) 15 Jun 2024 16:10:11
Ed, Would Bell and Downing have been that much better? We still would be a billion in debt whoever took over. All B&D would have done is refinance the debt and surely Friedkin will do the same?

{Ed002's Note - With MSP, yes.}

11.) 15 Jun 2024 16:17:36
I respect your knowledge and judgement Ed002 so value your view more than the mainstream media circus. Would have liked seen bell and downing myself purely as Evertonians.

We need some good news as a club so hopefully despite yours and others concern the guy may actually prove people wrong, we got to have some hope and change of luck Ed.

{Ed002's Note - Improving but would be neat to see them.}

12.) 17 Jun 2024 04:00:39
I definitely would have preferred Bell and Downing with Dell in the background.
Obviously they are two very successful Evertonians and while football is now a business, it helps if the owners have the club in their dna.
We shall see what the new owner says when/ if it is confirmed. All we want atm is stability and a path towards self sustainability.

UTFT NSNO.

So no one else expected after alcaraz. Bit of a letdown tbh.

ant wharton

1.) 03 Feb 2025 16:03:57
Disappointing as usual.

27 Jan 2025 19:27:08
Chelsea refused to accept broja back. what a farce that was. Signed a badly injured guy and more so always I jured. 2 games for like 4 million pounds. No goals. no assists. No point.

ant wharton

1.) 27 Jan 2025 21:43:34
Classic Everton. Why would Chelsea welcome paying his wage if they’re not contractually obligated to.

2.) 27 Jan 2025 22:21:45
And we are still being linked with injured players. Is Thelwell having a go before he gets the boot?

3.) 28 Jan 2025 03:15:58
Send Broja back to Chelsea, pay his wages and at least that opens up a spot for another PL loan. If Broja is injured don't we have insurance which covers injuries?
This is the type of question Ed002 would answer.

{Ed001's Note - his wages are covered by insurance while injured.}

4.) 28 Jan 2025 04:59:59
Thanks Ed001. So they should do what I suggested. Can Chelsea refuse to take him back even if we pay his wages?

{Ed001's Note - yes, they can refuse. Though it would make little sense from their point of view to do so. The wages will be covered by insurance, it would make other teams wary of taking their players on loan in the future. Also, taking him back allows them to control his rehab and opens up a loan spot for them to send someone else out on loan that would benefit from a run of first team footie.}

5.) 28 Jan 2025 08:35:18
EFC can send him back regardless if they agree to pay up the remainder of the loan (which is just under £2m)

Chelsea don't have to take him back regardless of insurance, it's another body in at Chelsea where it's not needed.

for a player who chelsea don't think has a future at the club, they know EFC will look after him so no problem leaving him here.

6.) 28 Jan 2025 08:46:49
Most teams would want their own medical team looking after a long term injury, protect your investment.

7.) 28 Jan 2025 09:39:54
Our medical room must be bursting at the seams right now!

8.) 28 Jan 2025 11:39:31
JBtoffee, if said player was of future interest to the clubs personal gain probably

Broja is surplus at Chelsea, and he's at another PL club, so chelsea know he'll still be getting top level care regardless.

15 Jan 2025 18:39:17
Moyes out ? what is he going to change doing the exact same thing.
Especially doucs and Harrison.

Armstrong needed to play.

ant wharton

1.) 15 Jan 2025 18:55:37
Well we can only hope Moyes has had sufficient time with them to change the tactics and create more scoring opportunities. I am still confident of a positive result but I hope that Armstrong comes on at some point, he is the only one with any idea of passing.

2.) 15 Jan 2025 18:56:06
2 keepers on thr bench again wtf.

{Ed025's Note - i just dont get that Dev..

3.) 15 jan 2025 19:03:42
well that's us blues deflated!, hope he proves us wrong.

4.) 15 Jan 2025 19:14:08
The players can't do different imo, there awful.
He should of gone 442, Armstrong ndiaye.
Patterson needs to start.

31 Mar 2024 23:36:07
For me the man to get fans excited is Roberto Martinez. Best football I've seen in my life we just struggled to defend. Now we genuinely have two good ventre backs and think he would get us positive. James garner is the weak link for me he offers nothing.

I guarantee that city will not get anything as near as severe as us. What a joke. Relates to he ground too and not transfers. absolutely lovid.

ant wharton

1.) 17 Nov 2023 13:34:42
I heard that City will be awarded the points we had deducted.

{Ed025's Note - love it Bunnyman..

2.) 17 Nov 2023 13:51:12
Absolutely disgraceful, do Everton have the option to take the case to the court for abritation in sport in Switzerland. ?

Moyes wanted onana and may bed Everton's valuation however we said he would get more game time. he's had a year in Orem and by all accounts impressed although I didn't see it.
West ham will check his availability and make a bid.

Honestly I'd sell for 95m. I honestly don't think he's that good and we could but two players.
He shows up every now and again and think Gordon will be better.

I could manage city. he is not the answer imo.

He was never gunna stay unless we get cl and sadly that's years away.

He could see we were struggling, I would of brought DCL off and put Godfrey just Infront of back 4 and then patto for young who was to slow against minoto
2 points dropped as he's scared to make and purposeful change.
