tickles me how people on here are saying that Stones is poor and in the same breath are demanding £50million for him! Make your minds up will you.

Pedromez

1.) 20 May 2016 20:59:11
Couldn't agree more Pedro 👍.

2.) 22 May 2016 00:20:41
Think it's because a lot of the fans here are old fashioned and value character as highly as talent. His talent is worth £50m+, his character is not (it was, he just seems to have changed since Christmas) .

According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraff, Frank de Boer has left Ajax.

Pedromez

1.) 12 May 2016 08:03:36
Now in UK papers. I'd take a punt on him. Senior players would play for him, junior players would look up to him. New players would sign for him. He's always been a leader of men. Yes only managed Ajax in a 2 horse race, but has had success.

{Ed001's Note - he is also interested in the job.}

2.) 12 May 2016 08:36:04
Personally I think he's too much of a LVG clone.

3.) 12 May 2016 10:05:03
Yeah because LVG has had a terrible managerial career!

Before Man Ure we would have been chuffed to get LVG so if De Boer is anything like thn bring him in.

Make the second kit orange - total football.

4.) 12 May 2016 10:07:32
Funny enough blue I read a article about his tactics and they quote Cruyff and LVG being the two driving influences in his style and tactics.

Tactical Philosophy of Frank De Boer

5.) 12 May 2016 12:01:58
Thanks for the info on looking at De Boers tactical philosophy, very interesting.
It looks good but a big gamble to get a manager who has only managed in a third rate league that Steve Mclarren was able to win but he could not cut it in the prem.

12 May 2016 00:26:31
showing Roberto Martinez as 8/1 to be the next permanent Everton manager? Weird. Do they know something we don't ha!

Pedromez

1.) 12 May 2016 02:53:14
So for that 8/ 1 Everton would have to sack Martinez, then reinstate the guy to be the next Everton manager, are you sure its not to be in charge of Everton next season, otherwise be near impossible for Martinez to be the next manager.

2.) 12 May 2016 08:07:08
Unbelievably so but Martinez has managed at Wigan and Everton to have both boards accepting that his mediocrity is acceptable and no matter his failures (of course never his fault) he is a young up and coming coach who everyone admires. If this man remains in charge I genuinely believe 100 percent he will relegate us. The man is to arrogant to walk, the board needs to grab whatever balls they have left and do what is best for this football Club, it is no romance anymore Bill, time for your business head.

3.) 12 May 2016 12:05:32
RB has the gift of the gab which fools most people including Bill Kenwright so he gets away with being a bad manager. He did fool many Evertonians till recently but he seems to still be fooling Kenwright, hopefully Moshiri will put us out of our misery soon.

25 Apr 2016 11:11:39
Andre Viilas Boas is pretty slim odds according to the bookies, but no one seems to mention him. Good or bad choice?

Pedromez

1.) 25 Apr 2016 11:43:25
Not for me, but who can be sure if any manager will do well or not at a particular club?

{Ed025's Note - its a lottery sid..

2.) 25 Apr 2016 12:03:30
Ed025: You're right about it being a lottery. Who - even among diehard LCFC fans - honestly expected Ranieri to even survive the season let alone be on the brink of winning the tPremier League title?

{Ed025's Note - fair point mate..

3.) 25 Apr 2016 12:17:07
Very bad choice.

4.) 25 Apr 2016 12:22:04
Spot on Sid. Sometimes you just get a good fit between club and manager that cannot be guaranteed should they move on.

5.) 25 Apr 2016 16:40:20
Andre Villas Boas has said in the past he does not wish to return to England due to past record, however if he was open to a return to the Premier League I would be happy with him.

17 Apr 2016 14:24:13
According to one lad on Twitter, he sat with Bill K and Moshiri on the train back to London yesterday and they told him Martinez's job is safe and he will be given substantial funds in the summer and given one more season to turn things round. BK feels RM has been unlucky. Don't know how true this is?

Pedromez

{Ed025's Note - the daily sport once ran a story about adolf hitler riding shergar on the moon pedro...i suspect that may have come from twitter as well mate.. :)

1.) 17 Apr 2016 14:35:52
Ha ha that was true though wasn't it!? We will only know what will happen when it happens I suppose. Got to trust in the owners.

{Ed025's Note - we have to hope that common sense prevails pedro, and that his tenure is brought to an end this summer mate..

2.) 17 Apr 2016 15:02:28
i can tell you how true it is Pedro

utter garbage, as if Bill and Mr Moshiri are firstly going by train, loads of Billionaires go on trains ha ha, secondly why would they discuss business with some numpty off Twitter.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think your far wrong there degs..

3.) 17 Apr 2016 15:13:32
There are pictures on the lads twitter site of both kenright and Mr moshiri on the train.

4.) 17 Apr 2016 16:22:10
must be true then if the Tweeter has pics, that's because everything on Twitter is the truth and nothing but the truth

im sure BK and Mr Moshiri would sot there happily explain the inner workings and future business of the club with some Twit

come on even if the pic was real and not a photoshop why would they tell this guy what was going on, seriously but if you want to gelieve it then that's your right mate.

5.) 17 Apr 2016 17:27:55
Never said it was true or not, merely pointing out that are pictures of kenright and moshiri on the train. They are clearly on a train even millionaires and billionaires take them!

6.) 17 Apr 2016 21:18:29
sorry for having a go Sdblue mate, you were just posting a rumour fella

degs.

7.) 18 Apr 2016 08:04:50
No probs.

8.) 18 Apr 2016 17:42:17
Actually Bill comes to all of our home games on the train from London.

Can't see Kone happening. Why would we buy him when we are pretty strong at the back? With Williams, Jagielka, Funes Mori and Holgate all looking solid, I just don't see where he would fit in. Likewise with Sissoko.

Pedromez

1.) 31 Aug 2016 15:29:07
Pedro. Jags won't play the full season, Funes mori is too vulnerable and Holgate is work in progress. Also Kone could walk straight into our squad.

2.) 31 Aug 2016 15:59:35
Need a striker so if koeman and walsh r still evaluating then we r in trouble.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 17:51:59
They are.

13 Aug 2016 16:57:11
Happy with that. Would have taken a draw at the outset given we were playing a very good team that have strengthened since finishing 3rd last year. Lots of positives to take too - Gueye was brilliant, deleofeou much better and the keeper made two excellent saves. Once the fitness levels get to where they need to be, a much better team who can actually tackle, press and defend! A long way to go, but things look promising.

11 Aug 2016 22:33:09
Svenny stated before about the fan base being toxic. Spot on. Dead right, Everton have become a deep dark toilet smoggy football fans.

Pedromez

1.) 12 Aug 2016 00:48:13
Absolutely agree. I'm one of the most negative fans ever when I discuss Everton, but it's the poisonous fans at the games I can't stand. We've always had arguably the quietest and least supportive crowd in the league (at least in the 10 years or so I've been going) , but the amount of abuse players like Ross get week in week out is a disgrace. I may not be the kind of fan who stands on his seat and gets a song going, but I've never thrown abuse at my own player because I know it won't help.

2.) 12 Aug 2016 13:37:10
My posts on here are accused of being negative but when I am at a game I am right behind the boys. I hear some fans shouting abuse at players and actually wonder if they realise the meaning of the word "supporter".

3.) 12 Aug 2016 20:48:58
Agree 100% with all of the above. Ross and the team got abuse within the first five minutes for practically every match last season, before they had a chance to make any mark on the game. It brings the team down and ruins the experience for supporters like myself who have had season tickets for years through thick and thin. I know it's gone on for years to a lesser extent with the likes of Osman and Hibbert targeted (often unfairly) , but I just feel like all the extra people who have been coming to Goodison over the last 2 seasons have just come to moan.

{Ed025's Note - i get your point tommy and to a certain extent agree mate, its the modern culture im afraid and the persuit of instant sucess imo..

4.) 13 Aug 2016 14:24:51
I worry that it is going to spill over into this season as I make my way to the game. Hopefully Moshiri and Koeman have bought some positivity to the fans in spite of the result as I don't feel that we are ready for Spurs today! Either way, COYB!

09 Aug 2016 11:38:02
Pretty sad to see Stones go, he will be world class one day and I wish him well. Williams is a good replacement in the short term, but can't help think we will never replace Stones. But, life goes on and we've lost great players before today and done ok.

Pedromez

1.) 09 Aug 2016 12:11:59
Ped I think we got another in this Holgate.

2.) 09 Aug 2016 11:59:26
We leaked so many goals with him at the back, he made so many mistakes so either he isn't as good as we thought or he was playing for a move. Either way we will carry on without him. But can't blame him for wanting to go he was never a blue in my eyes we were always a stepping stone.

3.) 09 Aug 2016 14:01:10
Definitely BeStyrne, he looks a class act.

He's not the finished article and has not been coached correctly IMO Dunc. A top top player who we should be really sad to see go.

02 Aug 2016 17:58:05
I'll be honest, I didn't have a clue about Geuye before he signed, but he looks a try little player from what I've seen on a couple of vids and his stats speak for themselves. Good signing 👍🏽.

Pedromez

1.) 02 Aug 2016 18:11:37
Tidy not try 🙄.

And it has to be sustainable where wages are concerned I would imagine. We can't pay 200m a year in wages if the club only turns over 100m.

No, I get that Ed. I just mean that Moshiri can't just chuck 100m quid in to buy players, we can only buy with what profit/ turnover we make?

Pedromez

{Ed025's Note - im no expert on the matter pedro but i think your right on that one mate..

The way I understand it is that we cannot spend 100m of moshiri's money because it would go against fair play rules? So we have to sell before we can buy.

Pedromez

{Ed025's Note - i dont think its as black and white as that pedro..

Season loan deal would suit us more. He's been left out of the starting 11 today too so signs Guardiola doesn't want him.

That goes for everywhere Bill, not just these boards. Lazy journalism, idol gossip and scurrilous press will make up stories about deals for players and transfer bids just to fill column inches or wishful thinking. Until the club say anything then take no notice.

Ross needs cover I reckon and someone to take the burden off him sometimes. Competition for his place and somebody else to rely on will
Only help the lad.

Agree with everybody else their JC. I can't believe anyone can find any axe to grind since RK has come in. Good signings, lot of money spent and a club on the up.

I think Bill Kenwright has done a fabulous job at Everton and deserves a knighthood!

Moyes is doing what he did here - lowering expectations. Tell the fans that they will be battling relegation and anything better than that, he's a hero. Saying that though, they probably will be down in the mire for most of the season! McCarthy would be a good move for them. I don't see where he will fit in with us somehow.

The end of the world is nigh, said Bill.

What noticeable movement would you like Bill? Everton have proven they have a very shrewd way of going about their transfer business and tend to do it under the radar. You will hear about Lukaku when something happens, until then, stop worrying about it. He may stay? He may leave? I doubt the club will let him go until sufficient replacements are found

So out your feet up Bill and watch a couple of episodes of casualty to cheer you up.
