Hi just wondering on peoples thoughts on Ben Godfrey playing in the Allan role ofva holding midfielder.
He's quick, aggressive in the tackle, good positional sense and comfortable carrying the ball forward with pace. I may be way off with my thinking but we may already have a ready made replacement for Allan without forking out a small fortune.

Might be an option, however think Holgate would be a better option in that position of the 2.

However hope we actually buy a player in that position - for too long we’ve been trying to put square pegs in round holes.

2.) 03 Jun 2022 00:03:04
His positional sense is not great and surely we want a 6 who can spray passes around not one who maraudes forward leaving the back 4 exposed?

3.) 03 Jun 2022 05:33:43
Yep Holgate more suited to that role. Holgate better in front of a back 4 than in a back 4 is my opinion.

4.) 03 Jun 2022 09:06:18
holgate needs to go not put in the sqaud.

5.) 03 Jun 2022 09:20:35
Exactly, Holgate needs to go if possible.

6.) 03 Jun 2022 09:28:14
Not sure why so many want Holgate to go?

Think he’s improved under Lampard and I personally would happily keep him.

There are far more players in our squad I’d want to see gone before we moved Holgate on.

15 Jan 2022 23:54:13
We'll it's looking like he's finally gone, but where do we go from here?
I'd like to think Big Dunc as interim manager and have have the common sense to start playing young hungry guys who will give they're all while they're out there. We're lacking leadership on and off the pitch.
We need a team that's organised especially at the back but more importantly that everyone understands they're job and responsibilities.
This includes when you pull on a blue shirt you want to win every tackle, clear every ball and make every player, manager and supporter proud to be an Evertonian.
As for who long term who knows. I feel we missed out big time no going for Christophe Galtier or Lucien Favre. Maybe it may be the same result as now but at the very least we might have been watching good football. Hopefully better days ahead. Getting deja vu now.

1.) 16 Jan 2022 02:20:25
Where do we go from here? Unfortunately wherever our mad cap leader takes us. Glad of his investment but we need a strong board to keep him in his place. He owns the club but should keep out of the footballing side of it as he has no idea what he's doing.

2.) 16 Jan 2022 05:43:54
Agree to a point Kerry. What we need at the very least is watching and receiving non losing football. This is a Sport not a game.

3.) 16 Jan 2022 09:54:06
Thinking about the amount of compensation we’ve paid out over the years it’s got me thinking that football management really is the ultimate profession, you can be crap at your job and still make out like a bandit when you get given the boot. I really don’t know how there aren’t some kind of performance clauses written into contracts, even easily achievable ones, because the rest of us peasants usually as a bare minimum have a 6 month probationary period written into ours for a start.

4.) 16 Jan 2022 15:38:54
Thank goodness he's gone . For me Duncan till the end of the season. He knows what we are about. Above all we need a leader on the pitch. Coleman has been superb for us but his playing days are coming to an end. Who will be captain if Coleman doesn't play? We will get passion from Big Dunc and hopefully this will translate to the players and get us out of this mess!

5.) 16 Jan 2022 15:43:55
I don’t think it would matter if we brought in Pep, Klopp and Tuchel in to work together, we would still struggle to win games in epl as our players are shocking. They lack any leadership and fight to battle against other premier league teams. I have no idea who we’ll bring in but whoever it is is on a hiding to nothing.

6.) 16 Jan 2022 16:03:39
Lets all feel good eh waterloo another manager hounded out of the club and not given a chance but never mind the crap players are still there and will still play and we will still get beat by most other teams because we are a crap team and deserve nothing because the present players are just cowards and give nothing. let's all praise big dunc eh who merely wanted to punch opponents and get sent off rather than actually play football. I for 1 will never go near the club ever again and tomorrow they can have my season ticket back because this club is a fuking disgrace and probably the worst run club in any division.

7.) 16 Jan 2022 16:34:01
Think Man Utd are running us a close second?.

8.) 16 Jan 2022 17:56:55
alanthomo
can i have your season ticket please,

9.) 16 Jan 2022 17:58:53
Bit drastic sending your season ticket back. I'll have it if you don't want it -:)

10.) 16 Jan 2022 20:40:40
Been waiting years on the season ticket waiting list, I know and you know Alanthomo, that you will be renewing your season ticket.

Question for any of the Eds, sorry if its been covered before. Has Rafa Benitez past experiences with Director of football been positive or negative? Is he comfortable working with a Director of football? Or does he prefer full control of transfers? I'm sure its something the Everton hierarchy has spoken with him about and he obviously has agreed to prior to accepting job.
Also, the potential transfer targets Carlo and Brands agreed on, will that list be scrapped and sit down with Rafa on new targets?
Again, apologies if either of these have been dealt with before. Thanks.

Kerrytoffee

{Ed002's Note - he will be just fine.}

1.) 27 Jun 2021 19:36:12
Thanks Ed.

2.) 28 Jun 2021 23:47:59
Rafa might be ok with it, but will Marcel be happy with Rafa?

3.) 29 Jun 2021 05:43:20
According to Paul Joyce, Brands hasn’t even been consulted on anything to do with the manager search.

4.) 29 Jun 2021 10:01:05
I find that hard to believe, swan. Isn't Brands on the board in some capacity? Surely that would mean he has been a part of the selection process?

Hi guys, regarding Newcastle bidding for Tom Davis, my personal opinion is that a loan move may benefit both the player and the club. Whether it be to Newcastle where he might get regular game time with unforgiving fans like ourselves, or even up to Scotland to either Celtic or Rangers. He'd be playing in a pressurised environment where ever not less than a win is acceptable.
As an Everton Ian that's the mentality that I'd like to see us have.
It could be the making of him but also help Carlo make up his mind about him.
Just my thoughts I could be way off the mark, just thought it'd be a win win for Everton.

Kerrytoffee

1.) 16 Aug 2020 18:34:15
I totally agree Kerry one of my biggest hates about our fans in the vile abuse our young local players get at the game I have 1 old fella behind me in the lower Gladys who can't wait for Tom to do 1 misplaced pass and he's up screaming at him I have had more than a few words with him my view is we should back our young players to the hilt and then we might see a different side to them imagine being Tom knowing fans can't wait for you to make a mistake so they can abuse you now that's pressure give him a loan move I would like to see him go to Bournemouth a nice family club.

{Ed0666's Note - I cant be a hypocrite every time I went to Anfield and Lalana was playing I was the same, I’m ashamed to admit it I couldn’t wait for him to fuc* up so I could abuse him. But then again I paid for a plane ticket, hotel accommodation, match ticket, expenses etc to watch my team I’ll say whatever the fu*k I want if a player ain’t performing.

2.) 16 Aug 2020 20:35:41
Potty mouth :0)

{Ed0666's Note - you’re right mate I apologize for the expletives.

3.) 17 Aug 2020 09:47:53
😂😂 ed0666 fair enough my issue is if it's not Tom Davies the same fans will then turn on Gordon or Braithwaite it's one of the things that truly pisses me off my feelings are they are kids doing what we can only dream off and if the manager has faith in them then as fans we should support them maybe if the fans support them they might play better as it can't be nice knowing that even the slightest mistake is jumped on by the stands.

4.) 17 Aug 2020 10:00:09
I think we can forgive the odd mistake - Davies has underperformed for some time now. Perhaps he is just not as good as we all hoped he would be. Carlo doesn’t seem like he’ll press on with players who don’t make the grade.
He’s shown he’s willing to give Gordon and Braithwaite a go, let’s hope they kick on and improve. Either way, the squad is poor in quality and depth. Still need to shift some deadwood and land 3 or 4 players who can come in and make an immediate impact.

5.) 17 Aug 2020 10:56:45
JBtoffee you say he's shown he is willing to give Gordon and Braithwaite a go he has also shown he is willing to give Davies a go I would like to see him go to a club like Bournemouth on loan I am not ready to give up on him just yet and think a move away from the toxic element of our fanbase might do him good.

6.) 17 Aug 2020 11:42:16
These are professional footballers, earning an absolute fortune, and some of the displays consistently now have been horrendous, if they are not good enough which unfortunately a lot of our team are not, not just Tom they need to go if anyone else is daft enough to buy them.

7.) 17 Aug 2020 11:45:14
He is 22 years old. He looked amazing when he first came in the team but has since been playing in a struggling team and off the bench mainly. I suspect his confidence is a bit shot! I agree about the negative fans. some have always done it to our guys. some choose the ref to get at . others choose our young home grown players. If we were winning games and his confidence grew. perhaps they would shut up?

8.) 17 Aug 2020 11:58:19
Lets be honest, every fan in the country will have a go at a player if he is not good enough. Sigurdsson gets plenty and that is also because he is not good enough. If we want to be a better team next year i am sorry but Davies shouldn't be in it.

9.) 17 Aug 2020 13:28:41
Branky - what choice did CA have but to play Davies?
He’s picking from the squad he has. For me, Davies is not up to scratch. CLewin was also playing in a struggling team and still showed his quality. We will definitely be investing, just need to be patient.

10.) 17 Aug 2020 14:03:23
Patient? Season starts in 4 weeks. we were 12th last season. We have made 1 signing and let a few go. and talk of letting Davies go? How does that improve us? Please explain. Davies is maybe not showing the best form. but we have other players still on our books and wage bill who are nowhere near the first team squad. Likewise, I think we are still paying past managers? Whenever people talk about getting rid of players. that should be if they are disruptive, continually injured or you have a better player ready to sign. As far as I am aware, we have noone ready to replace Davies? He is not disruptive and is probably one of the fittest players we have. Look at it like going into battle. you don't just get rid of soldiers because they are not the best. you have to have replacements or fight with less men.

11.) 17 Aug 2020 19:18:53
I'm Being serious if we don't sign a midfielder I woukd rather play besic over Davies.

12.) 17 Aug 2020 20:49:46
I agree Degsy getting rid of Tom is the least of our worries. Low wages and works hard. There are currently at least 2 midfielders on our books that we pay more for every week and get less out of.

13.) 17 Aug 2020 21:31:36
He’s been playing in an empty ground, so using the fans as an excuse just doesn’t stack up. To my mind he is no better than Dowell, and look where he is now.
Sadly the majority of young players who come through the system just don’t make that step up. Davies has had ample opportunity to stake his claim to a place in the team. I don’t feel he has done that, and can’t see him getting any better in the future.

14.) 18 Aug 2020 00:39:38
Degsy - if it gets us 12M to complete the deal for Allan, it improves us a lot.

15.) 17 Aug 2020 23:45:37
When it comes down to it his tackling is poor you feel like he could be sent off any game, his passing is poor and very limited in range, he doesn’t make driving runs forward, he hasn’t got much pace for tracking, He doesn’t make intelligent runs to give other players space on the ball. This isn’t to lack of game time he has had plenty he just hasn’t taken the next steps he isn’t good enough local lad or not.

06 Aug 2020 22:18:59
Hi Eds,
Just wondering if you are aware of any interest from Everton in season long loans or free transfers.
I know Everton must think outside the box this transfer window as financially they're not in a position to make large purchases for multiple players.

Many thanks.

Kerrytoffee

{Ed002's Note - I think there may be a loan or loan to buy option for Diogo Dalot.}

1.) 07 Aug 2020 09:32:33
He was highly rated when Man Utd signed him, think this could be a good move. He probably needs game time, which he should get at Everton. Although I’m not sure why J-J K isn’t a serious option, by all accounts he has a good season in Germany?

2.) 07 Aug 2020 09:03:18
I assume most of (if any) of our transfers will be loans or loan to buy Ed? . Not looking promising if we have to sell to buy, don’t think the nominal fee we got for Schneiderlin will go very far 🤷‍♂️😂.

3.) 07 Aug 2020 09:33:11
Thanks Ed, I'm sure not the type of name we were all hoping for but I guess beggers can't be choosers. Hopefully they may be able to attract some quality before the season starts as we're in dire need of it.

4.) 07 Aug 2020 09:36:51
Will that be an Ancelotti signing?

{Ed002's Note - Brands.}

5.) 07 Aug 2020 10:16:04
Mirror reported this could be permanent at £10m, is it a case of one or the other between Dalot and Celik?

{Ed002's Note - If Everton have the cash available it may be but it won't be both. Zeki Celik (RB) Lille are willing to sell for €20M and don't want to negotiate too far from that amount. The player is looking to move to England at some point and the asking price has proven too high for Villareal who were offered to opportunity to bid for him. West Ham, Everton and Spurs have shown an interest.}

6.) 07 Aug 2020 10:33:37
Thanks Eds, don't know much about Celik so I think Dalot would be the better option for us, would certainly help on the financial front at least!

Regarding Dwight McNeill, while he's not a signing to get the pulse racing i believe he is a good honest hard working player. I don't mean this in a derogatory way but he reminds me of Kevin Kilbane with more skill.
He will put in a shift and i believe will leave it all on the pitch. As evertonians all we ask is that every player who steps out on the pitch give their all. I believe he will, unlike some who have just been going through the motions the past few years.

1.) 27 Jul 2022 22:59:38
Are we Burnley in disguise. Any more Burnley signings and that’s what the away section will be singing at us.

2.) 28 Jul 2022 00:20:52
Con81 . what's your opinion on mcneil?

3.) 28 Jul 2022 02:49:58
A lot of bitterness and grief about our new signings, it's like some people are desperate for us to fail no matter what just to take some sort of masochistic glee in being proved right.

As i see it:
Tarkowski - I'm not thrilled by him but not disheartened either. He's an upgrade on Holgate and Keane, obviously excellent value in our risky financial period, and he's a player very much used to a battle to keep a team in the division. So far he seems to be adding some solid strength and composure to our backline, albeit tough to judge on friendlies form.
Vinagre - surprising signing, but we just don't know what's going on behind the scenes with Nkunku. He wasn't favoured by Ancellotti or Rafa, didn't do much at all on loan, and has been pretty meh in friendlies this summer (although again tough form to really judge on) . Perhaps Mr. Frank has the same opinion as our other two managers and doesn't believe he's good enough. Plus last year was a horror show for our defensive absentees. Remember Iwobi and Jonjo needing to cover LB don't you? So this could be seen as learning from last years problems there without breaking the bank.
McNeil - underwhelming sure, but i think too many people just like a glamourous sounding foreign name on the books no matter what. McNeil has a killer distance shot on him, definitely creates chances for attackers (and we desperately need this to get the best out of DCL) , another who isn't afraid of a tough battle, plus is more likely to be a commited long-term player for Everton unlike Cornet/ Dennis et al. He's young, an U21 international and has bags of promise. 20 mil is not exactly high priced nowadays either. I think it's a very shrewd signing and overall I'm quietly happy about our business so far.

One thing that does seem odd though - we seem to be building a team of English players. This must surely just be coincidence right as I can't imagine anyone deciding to have a focused transfer policy of only home-grown players!? There aren't rumblings of increasing home-grown requirements in the imminent future are there and so we're planning in advance to cash in on the inevitable surcharge these players would add to a transfer fee?

{Ed0666's Note - I like McNeil a lot. I think he’s gonna prove to be a shrewd signing. Tarkowski is gonna go down the route of Keane and his level will be laid bare for all to see.

4.) 28 Jul 2022 09:08:31
Tarkowski is a much better player than Keane mate.

5.) 28 Jul 2022 09:10:33
I think you have that the wrong way round ED0666 IMO I think McNeil will be sold in a couple of years after showing his level and Tarkowski will be a club captain.

{Ed0666's Note - we’ll see mate. I’m not sold on Tarwoski

Hi all, I don't post very often but after todays win for Burnley I know a lot of us are fearing the worst. But the way I'm looking at it as of now we have 6 games left, that's the potential for 18 points. So potentially bringing us to 47 points. This is however very unlikely but just shows we must concentrate on winning ourselves and not worry about everyone else. Burnley and Leeds are like ourselves fighting for their lives and were always going to win some matches. If we can manage a Big win tomorrow then we can really start to aim to overtake those above us. We have games where I'd like to think we should take points coming up, so if tomorrow doesn't go our way that doesn't mean it's all over. Burnley have 2 games against villa, away to spurs and Newcastle last day of the season so not such an easy run in either. They have Arsenal, Chelsea, Brighton and brentford which is no easy run in either.
We all know it doesn't look good but I feel we've played much better in the last 3/ 4 games and if we can bring that drive, passion, determination, organisation and work ethic I believe we'll collect more points than we'll drop. I still firmly believe we will stay up and I'm excited to see what will happen when we do. Players will inevitably leave and others will arrive over the summer, football is a job for them, but my love for this club like many others on here will never change.

Kerrytoffee

{Ed025's Note - i would love you to be right kerry but imo the writing is on the wall, maybe a new start in the championship will do us good mate, hopefully all the rats will desert the sinking ship and we can start again...as a proper club with a true identity..

1.) 01 May 2022 00:08:16
Until we play Chelsea, it is still in our own hands, start worrying when it is not in our own hands.

Keep the faith.

18 Jan 2022 16:26:39
Why is it in the last 6 years the same names are always thrown into the hat? Yes a few new ones this time around but overall it's the same. Duncan, Moyes, potter, Martinez, Mourinho, Dyche, fauvre and don't forget Nuno. Not saying they're bad managers but it's the journalists like us fans are becoming disillusioned with our club.
We're in a bad place no doubting that but we still have another 19 games and 57 points up for grabs. Not quite Wimbledon 94 yet or Coventry in 98.
The reason I brought up the managers is I'm really concerned by the thought of Martinez coming back. Are they really that clueless? Do they not remember the toxicity when he was there last. If he was a steward he'd be too close to the pitch for me. He hasn't a clue about defending and that's where we need to start. Back to basics. Stay tight and compact at the back and learn how to defend set pieces.
Bringing in a new manager should be a hope for optimism. We've had so many managers and it's always the same listening to same drivel how they want to be still here when the new stadium arrives. With who's picking the new manager, it fills me with more dread than excitement.
Just hope it's someone who realises that any player out of form needs to be dropped not play through it. Could be a very different starting 11 then.

Kerrytoffee

1.) 18 Jan 2022 22:09:15
Thats the other one I wouldn't want Nuno. His level like Silva is Championship.

{Ed025's Note - i agree DFS..

14 Jan 2022 17:00:57
Just a thought from left of field regarding Digne and Benitez.
Would it be that Rafa was told to get rid of all the high earners within the club?
Bernard was on big wages, he was the first to go followed by Rodriguez and now Digne.
Was it a case of Digne being frozen out so he would ask for a move? Maybe that was the plan all along as we were going to have to sell to buy. I can see Gomes and Mina and possibly Pickford next as they're all on around 100k per week. I don't imagine a fire sale in January but I do believe they're the most likely to go next. Big wages and Pickford is the only one playing regularly. I am open to correction but I believe Benitez mentioned something like this in an interview not that long ago.
Mind you Delph and Tosun are two others picking up nice wages also but unfortunately not huge assets if we were to sell as they're both nearly out of contract.
As I say I might be well off the mark but it has crossed my mind.
Here's hoping for a big 3 points tomorrow and hopefully start picking up regular points.

Kerrytoffee

1.) 14 Jan 2022 17:46:11
Think you will find all players are available for the right price mate.

2.) 14 Jan 2022 18:45:53
I have seen managers play good football with other teams then come to us and for some reason can not replicate it, i am talking basic stuff passing patterns etc. I think its more of a deep rooted thing withing the club and players. The last time i seen the players all united was under moyes before that it was i am struggling to remember and after moyes nothing even carlo a world class manager could not sort us out we finished 12th. I personally think rafa is of the mind set of if your not all in you will go and felxes his muscles if you will and uses lucas digne as an example. If you do not put everyrhing in you will follow hin out the door. And for me its long over due to many times we have players going through the motions getting paid rediculous money. Its just not acceptable. I could be wrong but rafa did say i have foxed a problem i am hoping the plod on approch of some of the players is the problem he is reffering to.

3.) 14 Jan 2022 19:42:31
Kerry, you probably not too far off the mark. We have another 8 high earners put of contract in the summer, so they have to take a huge pat cut or leave.

We will probably then replace them with younger, cheaper players with a point to prove.

4.) 14 Jan 2022 19:42:35
Some reports are now saying digne spat his dummy out because he was taken off set peices.

5.) 14 Jan 2022 20:08:51
Kerry toffee I was thinking similar lines. Rafa needs to sell to raise funds. We had Pickford, DCL, Richarlison, Godfrey and Digne as players with value. If he had tried to sell Pickford, DCL or Godfrey there would have been an outcry. Richarlison is one who may want to go. So test the water, pick a fall out with Digne (the cheaper player) tell him to leave and wait for the reaction.

They are all replaceable but to replace DCL with similar quality or better will cost a lot of money and possibly the same to keep him.
Personally I would not be surprised to see Richarlison and Pickford leave next. Rumblings that Spurs looking for new goalkeeper and interest in Pickford won’t go away. Towards end of month might be interesting. £50 m minimum for Pickford.

6.) 15 Jan 2022 07:45:53
I agree that there was likely a plan to clear the high earners but with Digne I am sure he could’ve just been made available and would’ve been snapped up by someone
The way this transpired I feel lowered his value.

04 Dec 2021 16:38:42
I've sat down and reflected the last few days it seems . It seems like we're the definition of stupidity, doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result. As an Everton fan for over 40 years this really hurts me to see. We've had a lot of darker days where the situation was a lot worse, however we always had players who wanted to play for the jersey and put in a shift. The difference nowadays is there's so much money in the game it doesn't really matter to the players if they win or lose they'll still get paid.
We have so many average joe soaps in our squad it's not even funny. But where do we start?
Firstly, I believe moshiri always had the best of intentions but he obviously had taken a lot of bad advise from his two close advisors. More like dumb and dumber.
Then we go to our director of football, he came with a big reputation of buying young players with potential and bringing them into the first team. To me he seems like a child who got an ice cream but wasn't allowed eat it. I don't believe a lot of the signings were his as his philosophy was always youth. However, this doesn't exempt him from criticism. If he was a man of principle, he would and should have walked without being allowed do his job properly. But once again, handsomely paid so doesn't bother him either way.
Our record of bringing players through to our first team is nothing short of shambolic, and Brands and all the jobs for the boys club need a serious reality check.
Our current squad is really poor, just because we spent big money on players doesn't make them good players. Iwobi, Michael Keane to just name a few. These are I would say championship players at best. So why are we still playing them?
Which brings me on to our Manager. Part of me has some sympathy for him as I would have liked to see what he would have done with a proper transfer budget. The other part of just being outright stubborn and continuing to pick some of these players including rondon is absolutely astounding. I know you can't play all youth but I prefer to see young players who want to play for the jersey and wanting to prove themselves. These are the guys who will put in a shift.
I may not like who he picks but will always support them while they're wearing blue. I respect everyone's decision and right to have an opinion as we're all passionate and hurting over our current plight. There is something rotten in our club and I believe it's only right for fans to ask questions. Hopefully we'll get back on track soon.
Wishing you all a safe and healthy Christmas. Take care UTFT.

Hi Ed, are you aware what 1st team players are being made available for sale? Or is it a case that everyone has their price?
Obviously getting the wage bill down is of huge priority but I genuinely can't see much money being brought from transfers, unless its either Digne or Richarlson.
I hope Brands and CA are on the same page because they really need an injection of quality and leaders into this team.
Many thanks Ed.

{Ed002's Note - It will be something like this:

Maarten Stekelenburg (G) has joined Ajax again
Djibril Sidibe (RB) Player wants out but Everton would like to take up their option but would need the player to be persuaded to stay - Monaco had Milan saying they will take him on a loan to buy in January and they could look again in the summer. PSG are interested at the right price and Monaco are looking at a major reshuffle, Seville have approached Monaco. Expect him not to return t Everton.
Jonjoe Kenny (RB) Schalke want another loan.
Lewis Gibson (CB) A couple of minor injuries, and game time has dried up so the player has to consider options which did include old club Newcastle, Southampton, Brighton and Rangers but that all seems to have dried up given the pandemic.
Yerri Mina (CB) May well be available.
Nathangelo Markelo (DM) loan to Twente for the season.
Mo Besic (DM)
Morgan Schneiderlin (DM/CM) a deal has been done with Nice
Fabian Delph (CM)
Gylfi Sigurdsson (AM) no interest being shown in him
Yannick Bolasie (LW) Sporting wanted to keep him but would prefer another loan if there is an end to the current crisis - this is the result of buying all the LWs in Europe - will be very tough to move on
Nathan Broadhead (LW) seemingly no chance of a career at Everton - there will be Championship interest at the right price
Cenk Tosun (S) has permission to talk to other clubs but won't be fit until around the New Year - so he will stay for now.
Oumar Niasse (S) will leave as a Free Agent
Sandro Ramirez (S) Real Valladolid say Everton have priced him out of a permanent move there
Moise Kean (S) I explained in the summer why Moise Kean was sold to Everton and he has the need for regular game time. He is expected to be hawked around Italy - and Roma wanted a loan but would have considered an exchange for Cengiz Under - the interest of two other sides seems to have gone and Roma are now also looking elsewhere. Moise Kean's representative has been in England recently and Everton were on of the clubs he spoke with about transfers - and he wants the MK situation resolved. There is a side keen on taking him on loan but that won't help Everton so right now it looks like he will probably stay - but will need to up his game.

Thanks Ed, I'm sure not the type of name we were all hoping for but I guess beggers can't be choosers. Hopefully they may be able to attract some quality before the season starts as we're in dire need of it.

Lucien Favre for me. He has a history of improving players, getting teams organised and playing good football.
With his ability to improve players he has plenty of donkeys to try and turn into racehorses. Mind you even if Paul Daniels was still alive I think even he would struggle with this lot .

Hi Ed, sorry to hear you've been getting abuse. From my perspective and i just want to ay thanks for the contribution you always make. Its honest information and unfortunately some people don't like the truth. I honestly believe the majority on here are decent fans but you'll always going to get few bad eggs. I hope a time comes again in the future where uou will be able to share Everton information again. So thanks again and hopefully things will calm down once the transfer window closes.

{Ed002's Note - I appreciate that.}

I agree we need another striker. i'd love to try and get Luka jovic from Real Madrid on a season loan. But i'd say there's 2 hopes of that. Bob Hope and no hope and Bobs no longer with us. Aww well, good to be able to dream and look forward to watching the team again.
